Structure of Government in the Commonwealth

The Federated Commonwealth of Selestville is a constitutional monarchy. Historically, the head of state is the monarch of the UK. After joining Thalassia, the head of state is technically the monarch of the region. He or she is represented by a Governor-General, appointed on the advice of the Prime Minister.
The Governor General and the bicameral Federal Parliament makes up the federal legislative branch. The Governor-General, with the Prime Minister’s cabinet forms the executive branch. The judiciary is independent of the legislative and executive branches.
The current Prime Minister is Kelvin Bird, he had held the position since it’s entry to Nationstates in May 2020.
Territories run their state affairs with a state government, with the governor as head of state.
