The Federal Republic of Extramuda is a large, socially progressive nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape, smutty television, and suspicion of poets. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic population of 159 million Extramudans are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The tiny, pro-business, outspoken government prioritizes Defense, although Law & Order, Public Transport, and Industry are also considered important, while Spirituality and Social Policy aren't funded at all. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 7.0%.

The thriving Extramudan economy, worth 12.5 trillion dollars a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is broadly diversified and led by the Uranium Mining industry, with major contributions from Pizza Delivery, Automobile Manufacturing, and Information Technology. Average income is 78,582 dollars, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 222,626 per year while the poor average 22,172, a ratio of 10.0 to 1.

Requests for government aid can be forwarded to the beach, the nation's biggest export is stupidity, populations of two-headed eagles have been found around recently-uncovered archaeological sites, and thalassophobia and heliophobia are on the rise. Crime, especially youth-related, is a problem, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Extramuda's national animal is the eagle, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to toxic air pollution.

Extramuda is ranked 297,612th in the world and 1,041st in Concord for Largest Welfare Programs, scoring 87.09 on the Safety Net Mesh Density Rating.
