History of the Federal European Union (fomerly known as Post ww2 Germany)

(Everything follows our timelines for the most part up until 1933 small changes are Ukraine stayed independant until 1948 no yugoslavia and the Russian Civil war lasted until 1946)

Before the astablishment
The Polish-German war
After Hitler camed to power in Germany in 1933 many people where suspicious about him a secret underground organisation was created the Coalition of a Free Germany this organisation rapidly grew in size and had its members spread fast over the positions of power like the Army SS or gestapo. (fast forward to 1936) after Hitler failed to deliver on his promises due to his heavy militaristic course Germany was in a control of one of the strongest Armies in the world but it was economically still a bitter poor nation the Coalition of a Free Germany used this opportunity to overthrow Hitler while the population agreed with it big portions of the military was violently against it which sparked the German Civil war which lasted from 1936-1938. After the civil war continued and CFG victory seemed more likely but still in far future the Polish facist government launched a invasion into Germany to help the Nazis to retake control this lead to the German-Polish war of 1938. While Polish forces where taking over big portions of Germany at first they later came into a big probleme. The Using the Polish invasion as motivation hundreds of thousands of German WW1 veterans rejoined the Army on the CFG side and people in factories worked day and night to produce guns artillery tanks and aircraft for the Army. With the influx of new weapons the war changed completely by early 1940 Germanys army reached the size of 4 Million active personal 3.200 tanks 2.000 artillery pices and hundreds of hundreds of aircraft. Germany started its first major counter offensives in early 1940 and liberated most territory by mid 1940 during the winter of the same year both sides slowed down and regrouped but in spring 1941 the Germany army launched a offensive into Poland and captured the entire country by 1942 due to a flanking manuver wich encircled hundreds of thousands of Polish troops and opened their southern flank. Germany overthrew the Polish government and replaced it with a German puppet Government. The after war years saw great economic reforms and alot of funding through the large German arms exports.

Post Polish-German war Germany
This short time frame of peace and prosperity didnt lasted long due to the ambitions of the new German government. Germany used the time from 1942-1945 for heavy reinvestments into its economy mainly the arms industry this caused the German economy and population to grow rapidly which worried its neighbours France the UK and the Soviet Union which semed to become the winning party of the Russian Civil war. In 1947 the German Army officaly became the strongest in Europe seccond only to the Red army which still fielded alot of its civil war strengh and in July 1947 German forces launched a Invasion into Austria and Czechoslovakia while Austria embrached German rule Czechoslovakia tried to fight back but rapidly crumbled under the massive German army. Those wars just confirmed the worries of the UK France and the Soviet Union which all in return massivly increased their own military spending. Germany spend money and time to create alliances with the Countries of Romania Bulgaria and Serbia all of the united under the United Europe Alliance (UEA).

World War 2
In 1949 world tension reached its breaking point after a French military build up on the German border which was meet by a German build up small skirmishes accured both sides where quick to blame each other and just increased border personal instead of cooling down. On the 3rd March 1949 Germany declared war against France and launched a invasion into the Benelux states in what looked like a attampt to outflank the french border troops. After Germanys invasion into the neutral states the UK declared war against Germany and ordered bombing raids against its western cities while troops would be send to France. Many of the British bomber where intercepted by early versions of German fighter jets develped in 1946 and while the French and UK forces where moving into the Benelux states to meet the German invaders head on a German task force of 6 tank division broke through the Ardennes and shot up to the British chanel which encircled over 600.000 French a British troops. While the French and British where hoping for the Soviet Union to help out the British and French the Soviet Union was unable to due so do to their prior war against Japan they had to move millions of troops through Siberia. Germany launched a final offensive against the encircled troops and had its airforces jet bombers made sure only a small part of the force would escape. After the French and British forces lost most of their heavy equipment and best trained troops Germany used Frances exposed nothern flank to rapidly move into Franche and capture Paris by september 1949.

The conquest of Europe
After the quick victory against France Germany astablished a puppet government in France and used the momentum of the invasion of France against to rapidly invade facist Spain by joining up with anti facist militias
which caused a quick collapse of Franco and a astablishment of a anti facist pro German government in Spain by mid 1950. On the 2nd december 1950 German Romanian Polish and Bulgarian forces crossed into Hungary and rapidly took over the country by janurary 1951. The rest of 1951 used by Germany to take over the rest of Western and Central Europe while the Soviet Union was busy fighting against a anti Communist insurgency in Ukraine. by feburary 1953 Germany and its allies invaded the Nordic countries forged a alliance with Finnland Greece and diffirent anti Soviet millitias in Ukraine while having taken over all of continental Europe east of the Soviet Union with the the UK staying free due to their strong naval forcesand a peace deal with Germany.

Operation Barbarossa
in faburary 1953 after having taken over most of Europe Germany begun to mobilise its forces at the border to the Soviet Union and by march a total of 4 million troops of which 3.5 millon Germans have been deployed in the same month the forces crossed into the Soviet Union spread across 3 Army groups 1 for taking the city of Lenningrad and to assault Moscows nothern front a second to link up with pro German militias in Ukraine and for Moscows southern front and third one to assault Moscow directly. Even though German forces celibrated great succeses in the opening stages of the war taking over big portion of the Soviet Industry and population centers like Kiev taking over all of Ukraine and encirceling Lenningrad as 1953 came to a end the German forces where slowed down by heavy weather. As winter came into 1953 the German forces where unprepared for the weather and and repelled by Soviet forces on multiple fronts while the Soviet Inudstry restarted production. As the weather became better in 1954 German forces managed to stablise the lines but under harsh casualties up until this point the casualties are estimated to be around 5 million dead and wounded on both sides. Now heavy endurance war begun as the war became more defensive on both sides due to thousands on tanks amoured vehicles having been lost on both sides. 1955 Germany regained a big portion of their strengh and set its goal the German goal was to strike at Kiev and destroy a enough of the Soviet Army to force the Soviet Union into accepting a truce. The offensive started in Feburary 1955 and the fighting over the city lasted until August 1955 and the German offensive ended in a major Victory which later developed into Stalin being overthrown and a peace agreement with Germany which gave control over Gerogia, Armenia and the Baltic states to Germany while Ukraine Belarus and the central asian states gained independance. Ending the Second World War on the 15th September 1955.

Post WW2 Germany
The post war time was spend into rebuilding Europe and assisting UK colonies to become independant. (SIC:At the same time Germany begun to set up political missions in diffirent south american countries Argentina Chile and Venezuela the missions where unofficial and included trade such as passports and faked papers for German agents for guns and economical aid with the entire program being kept topsecret with cooperation on the highest levels of the states governments). The time from 1955 to 1959 was relatively peacefull up until 1960 when in the far away French colony of Indochina a war errupted between the local French puppet Government and its king against a Communst revolutionarys. After 2 year of fighting the Colony was slipt up into 3 countries Laos Cambodia and Vietnam due to the ports the large population and the large territorial waters the French government hold a large military force to prevent the puppet government from falling to the Communist revolutionary. Eventhought the French government kept a large force and invested billions into Vietnams own armed forces the Communist managed to push the French forces out of the north and declared themselves the People Republic of North Vietnam which had the goal to reunify Vietnam.

The Vietnam war 1963-1985
Due to the threat of Vietnam falling and the risks for all of East Asia involved the German government decided to start a military intervention into the region. in 1963 4 German carrier strike groups reached Vietnam and multiple bomber squadrones where deployed on Islands in the Pacific and the pro German Myanmar. The first bombing raids where launched against North Vietnam which had mixed results and slowed down their offensives and in 1964 3 German division where deployed in Vietnam to assist the pro French forces and government but the bombing created another enemy within the south. The Vietcong was a pro Communist force which performed ambushes and attack raids against any pro French or German forces within the south they where ill trained and badly equiped but through their will and determination they where still able to inflict semi acceptable casualties on German forces. 1968 was the year the Vietnam war sparked into a new level of brutality. Due to increased bombing raids and new Soviet and Chinese support for the Vietcong and North Vietnamese armies grew rapidly. In repsonse Germany launched a draft program which increased the size of the German force in Vietnam from 60.000 troops in 1968 to 550.000 in 1973. While both sides suffered heavy casualties the war peaked once again in 1978 as the German force reached a total of 830.000 troops and the North Vietnamese and Vietcong a total of 2 million even though the front didnt moved more then a few meters the fight was extremely bloody due to the hight troop concentration the bombings and Vietcong attacks in the south. Due to the loss of confidence in a victory of South Vietnam Germany begun to pull out troops but invested billions of West Marks into the South Vietnamese army in a effort to atleast force a ceasefire between the two sides. The German force in vietnam fell from 830.000 in 1979 to 120.000 in 1982 and to 30.000 in 1984 all German troops have been withdrawn from Vietnam in 1985 which ended the German intervention. The war in vietnam lasted another 2 when in 1987 North Vietnamese forces captured Saigon which forced the south to surrender. The total casualties of the war are a estimated 97.000 German deaths 342.000 South Vietnamese deaths 3.4 million Vietcong deaths and 900.000 million North Vietnamese military deaths
with a additional 7 million civilian deaths due to war crimes committed on both sides +460.000 Cambodian civilian deaths due to German cross border bombing

Post Vietnam war
After the German defeat in Vietnam the country massively reinvested into their armed forces but still followed a relatively passive international course by using financial means to get political control over other countries. The German economy also saw a big uplift due to their improved relationships with the US in their shared fight against global Communism and both sides having provided funds and weapons to the Afghans fighting against the Soviet Union. This time was spend relatively calm with new scientific advances and cultural revolutions which all improved equality and quality of life in Germany. In 1995 Germany joined up with its European allies (SIC: puppet states) into the European Union which was a economic political and military union (SIC: dominated by Germany) to ensure unity and security within Europe.

Astablishment of the European Federal Union
Due to the close trade relationships between the states and thus large ammounts of resources being spread across the mombers the economies grew and grew to incredible sizes just as the population. Seeing the succes of the union all states agreed to go a stop further as they decided to astablish the Federal European Union in 2006. The political system on the federal level was and is dominated by the European Socialist Party while on the states level everything is governed democratically.
