The Most Serene Kingdom of Vinstin is a gargantuan, cultured nation, ruled by The Serene Kaiseri Teijo the IV with an even hand, and renowned for its national health service, compulsory military service, and punitive income tax rates. The hard-nosed, humorless, devout population of 40.651 billion Vinstalaiset are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The large government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Sulanutranta. The average income tax rate is 74.6%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The strong Vinstalien economy, worth a remarkable 3,534 trillion Markkaa a year, is highly specialized and mostly made up of the Arms Manufacturing industry, with significant contributions from Automobile Manufacturing and Uranium Mining. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 86,947 Markkaa, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The only women behind bars are barmaids, courtrooms can be a little sketchy, beggars lack pockets for spare change, and convicts released after being found "wrongfully imprisoned" are surprisingly chill about the whole thing. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Vinstin's national animal is the Northern Black Goose, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to toxic air pollution, and its national religion is The Blessed Orthodox Church of Vinstin.

Vinstin is ranked 2,179^th in the world and 91^st in Balder for Most Advanced Law Enforcement, scoring 16,168.32 on the Orwell Orderliness Index.
