The Republic of Velka Panonia is a massive, socially progressive nation, ruled by President Sára Lásková with a fair hand, and remarkable for its digital currency, compulsory military service, and irreverence towards religion. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic population of 2.035 billion Pannonians are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The minute, pro-business, outspoken government, or what there is of one, is dominated by the Department of Defense, with Law & Order and Education also on the agenda, while Spirituality and International Aid receive no funds. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Pestbudin. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 5.2%.

The very strong Pannonian economy, worth 116 trillion korunas a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is broadly diversified and led by the Door-to-door Insurance Sales industry, with major contributions from Retail, Arms Manufacturing, and Furniture Restoration. Average income is 57,106 korunas, but there is a large disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 293,596 per year while the poor average 6,072, a ratio of 48.3 to 1.

Laborers are building walls and making Wezeltonia pay for it, Pannonian police have to pay out of their own pockets for bulletproof vests, the government is on the side of working people (like CEOs, bankers and billionaires), and President Sára Lásková has just been declared ruler of Velka Panonia in an international press conference. Crime is a problem, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Velka Panonia's national animal is the wolf, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Velka Panonia is ranked 52,282nd in the world and 234th in Europe for Highest Disposable Incomes, with 54,137.02 Standard Monetary Units.
