[RP]Nationstates ate the dispatch i wrote D:

Inner Solsticia has had a general election, and a new parliament has been assembled, with upper and lower houses. The lower house is called parliament, the upper house is called conselho, together they form the assembly. Surprisingly, the Social Democratic Party of Solsticia has won the most seats in the parliament and has formed a coalition with the progress party and liberal movement.

The LM candidate for stadtholder Gabi Carmo has won the election with a 56.2% approval rate, a lot lower than the LM's former candidade Vânia de Olinda, who won with 67% of the voters.

The other candidates had the following results:

Eustácio Oswald de Alencar (Conservative Republican Party, Democratic Movement) 38.9%

Eleuthério Dutra Almedia (Social Democratic Party of Solsticia) 43.5%

Mânfrede Quadros (Solsticia First, Agrarian Party) 17.4%

Pâmela do Amaral (Socialist Party) 36.21%

Upper House: https://public.flourish.studio/visualisation/20102363/
Although he ran for stadtholder and lost, the new parliament has once again elected E. D. Almeida for another term as president (which is chosen by the parliament and serves as head of state).

There was a section about the achievements and problems of the former governemnt, but i will just summarise it:
Many voters feel that the former government seeped into authoritarianism, some feel that the progressive reforms were too reckless, the gun control bills were and still are highly controversial, some feel that the economic grew too slowly, public transport was ignored, the flag change was unnecessary, and the foreign policy was too hawkish.

But there were some accomplishments, like creating 2 international alliances, the southeastern accord and the organisation of free nations, with the latter being an alliance of Valaryia's democracies, which was highly popular. The healthcare system has been revamped, being one of the best in the world with a reasonable expenditure. Controversially, the military has been massively revamped, with the country now boasting reasonably strong self-defence forces. The economy grew steadily without sacrificing the nation's pristine environment. The HDI has grown steadily, and the education system has been revamped aswell. Although controversial(again), the gun control policy has turned Inner Solsticia into one of the safest, healthiest, and most pacific (somehow) nations in the whole world. The average lifespan has hit 91. The crime rate has reached unprecedented levels of low, without a heavy-handed approach (smart on crime!). Not to mention that the former government had to deal with a coup attempt and an insurgency.

Either way, the election was orderly, a far cry from the open warfare seen during the coup attempt. Inner Solsticia's democracy stands, and for now, the country remains vibrant and free, united in its diversity.

We at the Mania Sims Office of Foreign Affairs would like to congratulate Inner Solsticia on their elections. But remember, everyone has their own poltical agenda that they will try to use the nation for. Beware the explosions in the sky.

If you ever come to Mania Sims, and want to buy an "Organ Disintegration Rifle", we'll take care of the cost.

I counted I have 91 puppets today.

I was reading all the "I have two" and "I have another one" posts and going, "Should I bother to count all of mine? I don't know if I should count all of mine." This sounds much more reasonable.

This will never happen to me, though. I'm pretty sure, anyway.

This seems like the amount a reasonable member of society would have.
