May God make your year a happy one!
Not by shielding us from all sorrows and pain,
But by strengthening us to bear it, as it comes;
Not by making our path easy,
But by making us sturdy to travel any path;
Not by taking hardships from us,
But by taking fear from our heart;
Not by granting us unbroken sunshine,
But by keeping our face bright, even in the shadows;
Not by making our life always pleasant,
But by showing us when people and their causes need us most,
and by making us anxious to be there to help.
God's love, peace, hope and joy to us for the year ahead.
Amen.
Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us; for laying aside all excuse, we sinners offer to Thee, as to our Master, this supplication: Have mercy on us.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
O Lord, have mercy on us, for in Thee have we put our trust. Do not be angry with us, nor remember our iniquities, but look down on us even now, since Thou art compassionate, and deliver us from our enemies. For Thou art our God, and we are Thy people; we are all the work of Thy hands, and we call on Thy name.
Now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.
O blessed Theotokos, open the doors of compassion to us whose hope is in you, that we may not perish but be delivered from adversity through you, who are the salvation of the Christian people.
Almighty and merciful Lord,
In Your hands rests the heart of kings,
Guiding them as rivers of water flow.
Grant us the wisdom to seek justice and righteousness,
For You weigh our hearts and actions.
May we humble ourselves before You,
Rejecting pride and wickedness,
And instead, pursue diligence and righteousness,
That we may find abundance in Your grace.
Protect us from the allure of ill-gotten gains,
And grant us the strength to uphold justice,
Knowing that the wicked shall be brought low,
While the righteous find refuge in You.
Grant us discernment to avoid contention,
And the wisdom to seek Your will in all things,
For in You alone lies true safety and peace,
Even amidst the battles of this world.
May our lips speak truth and kindness,
And may our hearts be open to Your guidance,
For in Your wisdom and counsel,
We find true strength and understanding.
We offer this prayer in faith and humility,
Trusting in Your providence and love,
For You alone are worthy of all praise and glory,
Now and forevermore.
Amen.
O Lord our God, Creator of all things, we come before You in this auspicious time of the Chinese New Year, as we enter into the Year of the Dragon. We thank You for the gift of life and the opportunity to celebrate new beginnings.
Bless this year with Your grace and favor, may it be a time of prosperity, peace, and joy for all. We pray for harmony among nations and cultures, that we may embrace one another with love and understanding.
As we honor the traditions and customs of this festive occasion, may we also remember the values of compassion, generosity, and gratitude. Grant us the strength to overcome challenges and the wisdom to make righteous decisions.
Guide us, O Lord, with Your divine light, as we embark on this new journey. May the spirit of the dragon, symbolizing strength and power, inspire us to rise above adversity and strive for excellence in all that we do.
We lift up our hearts in prayer, asking for Your blessings upon our families, communities, and the entire world. May Your presence be felt in every home and every heart, uniting us in faith and love.
We humbly ask for Your protection and guidance throughout the year, trusting in Your infinite mercy and grace. May Your peace reign supreme, and may we always walk in the path of righteousness.
In the name of the Father to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, we pray. Amen.
Gracious God,
Today begins a period of inner reflection and examination.
The days stretch before me and invite me inward to that silent, holy space that holds your Spirit.
This special time beckons me to see my life through Christ's eyes and the truth and reality of your love incarnate.
Give me the grace to enter the space of these days with anticipation of our meeting. And, when I open my soul to your presence, let your loving kindness flow over me and seep into the pockets of my heart.
I ask this for the sake of your love.
Amen.
Dearst God,
Blessed be Thee Exalted Name, Praised be upon You, Goddess Sora, and Lady Theotokos. Blesseth be Thou names, and blesseth us, as we stand upon the Altar, Praising Thou names. Giveth us, our Daily blessings, and Forgive us for our Sins. For as We forgiveth on thee People whom cursed upon Us.
Heavenly Father, we pray upon Guidance of Thine Holiest name, to always Lead our lives to the Fullests, Heavenly Lady Theotokos, Giveth of Birth, Blesseth be upon those whom have given birth, blesseth be for thou gave birth to Christ, our Heavenly Father. Heavenly Sora, our Goddess of the Sky, we prayeth for Thou guidance to blesseth the Sky and gave clear weather for thine day today.
We thus pray in the Names of Mother Theotokos, To the Goddess Sora, and to Christ, to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Heavenly Father, and Lady Theotokos and Goddess Sora,
In reflecting upon the words spoken by your Son, Jesus Christ, as recounted in Mark 10:35-45, we come before You with humility and reverence. Like James and John, we too often seek positions of honor and glory, desiring to be exalted in the eyes of others.
Yet, Lord, we recognize the folly of such ambitions, for true greatness lies not in seeking prominence or power, but in serving others with love and selflessness. Help us, O God, to drink from the cup of sacrifice that Christ drank from and to be baptized with the baptism of His suffering and redemption.
May we, like You our Lord, embrace a life of humble service, following His example of compassion and mercy. Teach us to set aside our own desires and ambitions, and to instead seek opportunities to minister to those in need, to uplift the downtrodden, and to be a source of light and hope in a world filled with darkness and despair.
Grant us the grace to embody the spirit of servanthood in all that we do, so that through our words and actions, others may come to know the boundless love and grace that You offer to all humanity. May we, like your Son, be willing to give our lives as a ransom for many, pouring out ourselves in sacrificial love for the sake of others.
We ask this through Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
O Most Holy God,
We come to You with humility, admitting that we are sometimes caught up in greed and the desire for personal gain, even in religious service. Forgive us if we have ever used our position and reputation for our own gain, preventing others from experiencing Your truly liberating presence.
We thank You for Your grace that transcends cultural and ethnic boundaries, which allows all people, regardless of their origins, to come to You with prayer and worship. Forgive us if we have ever prevented others from experiencing Your liberating and fulfilling presence.
Guide us, O Lord, to always make the church a holy and clean place, where everyone is accepted, respected, and treated with true love. Help us to be examples of sincere and selfless service, so that through our lives, others can know and experience Your boundless love.
In the name of Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, we pray. Amen.
Gracious God,
On this Memorial Day, we pray for those who courageously laid
down their lives for the cause of freedom. May the examples
of their sacrifice inspire in us the selfless love of Your Son, our
Lord Jesus Christ. Bless the families of our fallen troops, and fill
their homes and their lives with Your strength and peace.
In union with people of goodwill of every nation, embolden us
to answer the call to work for peace and justice, and thus, seek
an end to violence and conflict around the globe. We ask this
through your name.
Amen.
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.
