Campaign season for the election of the 5th Supreme Soviet starts now. The election will begin in about two weeks, on March 1st. The date may be moved forward if more time is needed. Anyone who wants to declare their candidacy for the Supreme Soviet should do so on both the RMB and Discord. Please also remember when stating your candidacy to specify whether you are running as an independent or for a recognized party. All citizens of the USSD are eligible to be on the SuSo, including Ministers and Advisors. If you are running, you are required to make at least one campaign post leading up to the election.
I'd also like to remind everyone that we will be using a new voting system, which will use ranked voting to more accurately determine the will of the people. The new system was created by our Minister of Elections and current SuSo member, 
Stoichia. It will be entirely offsite, on Google Sheets. This will allow votes to be kept private during the electoral process, free up NS polls for less serious topics, and will help prevent voter fraud.
