Office of the World Assembly Delegate
Ms. Michäelle Gauthier (WA Delegate-elect) | New York City, Calicambria
Statement on Election
NEW YORK CITY -- I am very humbled and extremely elated to be honoured with my election as World Assembly Delegate (WA Delegate) of the United Forum of Nations. I thank Ms. Airku of Hiram Land for running a clean campaign and I am proud to say the same of mine. While Ms. Airku was not elected, I strongly believe she has excellent policy goals to re-define this office in this new term and I look forward to working with her during my term in office.
I would also like to finally thank Secretary-General Kreizler and the hardworking staff members and officials at the UFN Parliament who have worked tirelessly throughout this pandemic and through this holiday season to ensure the votes of all UFN-MPs are counted and tabulated.
The work of the World Assembly Delegate never has a start nor a finish. The work of this office is ongoing and I thank Ms. Bernard for her office's cooperation in ensuring a speedy transition immediately after the results of the election were released. My priorities that I have made clear throughout this campaign season will be followed-through upon on day one, including representing the values of all UFN member states, encouraging active World Assembly participation among UFN members, and ensuring proposals in the World Assembly that are consistent with UFN values to achieve quorum and be considered by the body as a whole.

Congress certifies Gonzalez victory after protesters storm Capitol building
ALEXANDRIA D.C. -- In a joint session of Congress, the Senate and the House of Representatives formally certified the results of the Electoral College victory by President-elect Gonzalez and Vice President-elect Newton. The session started yesterday morning but was interrupted during debate on the certification of Arizona's electoral votes after right-wing protesters encouraged by former President Atkins stormed into the Capitol building. Yesterday's mob attack on the Capitol is the second time in Calicambrian history that a group of Calicambrians broke into the complex (the first being exactly four years prior, during the certification of incumbent President Lambert's victory over Atkins) and the also the third intrusion to the Capitol since the British in the 19th century.
Legislators and others in the Capitol were evacuated as soon as the mob broke though the Capitol barricades. They were moved to an undisclosed location. Vice President John Morton was evacuated by the Secret Service through the tunnels to a separate undisclosed location.
President Lambert strongly condemned the attack immediately and demanded that the former President tell his supporters to end the siege as did the President-elect and the Vice President-elect. The Mayor of the District Commonwealth (who holds the same powers and role as a state governor) mobilized the National Guard and troops were deployed to contain the mob and clear the Capitol building in cooperation with the Capitol Police. The federal government classified all protesters involved in the mob as domestic terrorists, and over 540 have been charged with federal terrorism charges.
Despite the mob attack, both houses of Congress re-convened to certify the remaining states. Members of the GOP raised objections to the electoral votes of Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania of which only Pennsylvania triggered a debate as a senator signed onto said objection. Pennsylvania's electoral votes were eventually certified by Congress as were the rest of the states.
"With 415 electoral votes, Diego Pietro Gonzalez of the state of Pomona has been elected as President of the United States for the term beginning on the 20th day of January of the year 2021. With 415 electoral votes, Joseph Newton of the state of Georgia has been elected as Vice President of the United States for the term beginning on the 20th day of January of the year of 2021."

AUTHORITIES TO PROSECUTE POZNAN TERRORISTS IN ABSTENTIA
by Eli Kovac-Zura
The People's Court of Poznan has filed a court appearances for two alleged perpertrators of the bombing attack on an apartment building in South Poznan late last year. The two accused are currently facing trial in Calicambria, after being arrested from a combined effort of Hydaelynic, Calicambrian and Ressian authorities. As there is no formal extradition treaty between the US and the Republic, the accused cannot appear at their court date in Aressna.
A spokesperson for the Poznan court told state media the two would be tried by a judge and jury, and a prosecution, in order to 'uphold Ressian law and values. There is precedent for the in abstentia trial - however some foreign outlets are labelling it a 'mock' or 'show' trial - however this is the first time a case of this magnitude has been dealt with in abstentia, since Aressna's ascension to the United Forum of Nations. A press release from the national Bureau for Justice maintained the trials did not make any mockery of justice:
'The scheduled trial does not interfere with Calicambrian legal proceedings, nor with the ability of Calicambrian judicial workers to complete their work. We are merely applying Ressian law in a case that is deeply emotional, one that struck right to the core of every Ressian citizen and immigrant to Aressna.'
The Calicambrian legal system may give the accused 'more leniency' experts suggest, however US law allows the death penalty to be applied in 'extrene cases', and the death of a US citizen in the attacks, as well as the positive relationship between the US and the Republic will all play into the trial as the accused face the music.
POZNAN PAIR TO BE TRIALLED MID JUNE, BUREAU SAYS
In similar news, the Poznan Pair, the two accused who were arrested by Ressian authorities, will face court in Aressna some time in June of this year, according to the statement released by the People's Bureau for Justice. The two are thought to be accessories to the crime, and if guilty are unlikely to face the death penalty, or a life sentence. If they are guilty, the weight of mass murder of their own countrymen will surely crush their shoulders for the rest of their lives.
The Bureau also stated they cannot yet release the names of all five suspects, both in Aressna and abroad, who are accused of bombing NO.4 Apartment Building in Wilda, Poznan. They say the details can be released in the days preceding their trial, but no sooner, according to Ressian law, and further security reasons.

Luftwaffe Ka-52 crashes, pilot MIA; feared to be in Russian hands
In a press release today, Defense Minister Luka Schäfer revealed that a Ka-52 conducting a patrol near Dombarovsky Air Base had crashed due to unknown reasons. While confident that it was not shot down by a Russian missile, the Ministry of Defense as of now is not ruling any possibilities out. Within two hours of the crash, Luftwaffe Security Forces had discovered and secured the crash site and had transported the black box back to Moscow for analysis. Data recorders indicated that the pilot ejected around 6:21 AM, consistent with the final radar contact of the helicopter. The pilot is still missing as of now, which reportedly has the Oberkommando der Bundesstreitkräfte gravely concerned as the rescue beacon for the pilot has not been activated, contrary to Luftwaffe protocol which states that a downed pilot is to activate his beacon within two hours of a crash if help has not arrived yet. No official statement from the Kaiser has been released as of yet, however, the Kaiser is reportedly preparing to board a flight to Dombarovsky Air Base to co-ordinate the search and rescue operations personally. Civilian Air Rescue Service (CARS) aircraft and ground teams have been mobilized and are participating in the search for the pilot in conjunction with Luftwaffe Security Forces and the Heer, which will add a much-needed boost to the rescue effort.
Protesters gather at the Maximilianeum after Bavarian Landtag impeaches Minister-President Haans von Knilling after bribery scandal, Markus Söder sworn in as Minister-President
In a 120-85 vote late last night, the Bavarian Landtag impeached Minister-President Haans von Knilling over his role in a massive bribery scandal encompassing multiple Bavarian officials. The vote comes as the Bavarian government reckons with the widespread corruption within the Executive Cabinet and an era of tension between political parties. von Knilling was impeached by a broad coalition of parties, including one within his own coalition that gave the impeachment enough votes to succeed. von Knilling has decried the proceedings as a political hitjob, pointing to comments by the chairman of the Bavarian Socialists Party, Georg von Wittelsbach, which called his election to the position in 2016 "fraudulent, disgraceful and a stain on Bavarian and Artherian history". von Wittelsbach once vowed to restore "decorum and honor to the Landtag and the Executive Cabinet, one way or another" in 2017 after von Knilling pushed for tax breaks for companies that were connected to him, which ultimately failed in a 90-115 vote. Shortly after the impeachment, his supporters gathered in front of the Maximilianeum to support the Minister-President and decry the proceedings as illegitimate due to elections taking place a mere two weeks away. Thus far no violence has been documented at the protest, however, due to the tense nature of the current era in Bavarian politics, only time will tell if this peace holds.

Grand jury indicts two suspects in Poznan attack; federal prosecutors refuse to rule out death penalty
NEW YORK CITY -- A grand jury in New Holland formally indicted two of the suspects alleged to be involved in the Poznan attack in Aressna that claimed dozens of lives. Federal prosecutors commended the indictment in a press conference, vowing to "move forward in the case against these two suspects who have engaged in the most heinous of crimes." When pressed on a decision whether to seek the death penalty in the case, federal prosecutors declined to answer. Advocates that pushed for the passage of Federal Death Penalty Elimination Act (FDEPA) in 2017 have rallied against the death penalty to be a punishment in this case.
The People's Court of Poznan in Aressna also charged the two suspects and announced that a trial in absentia will be held. A press statement released by the Court stated the following: "The scheduled trial does not interfere with Calicambrian legal proceedings, nor with the ability of Calicambrian judicial workers to complete their work. We are merely applying Ressian law in a case that is deeply emotional, one that struck right to the core of every Ressian citizen and immigrant to Aressna."
The Ressian People's Bureau for Justice announced that the trial will occur in mid-June sources announced. The Department of State also issued a statement expressing concern with the trial in absentia and included: "The United States is deeply concerned with the upcoming trial in absentia naming two United States citizens who are undergoing legal proceedings in the Calicambrian judicial system. Secretary Rice has expressed the administration's concerns to the Ressian government on this matter and we are in communication to find a resolution to those concerns."
President-elect Gonzalez speaks out against the Capitol mob
ALEXANDRIA D.C. -- President-elect Gonzalez spoke to a socially distanced crowd today in Downtown Los Angeles where he condemned the mob that took the Capitol building under siege during the certification of the Electoral College votes from the 2020 presidential election. Atkins was impeached after a similar attack on the Capitol in 2017 by the Democratic-led House of Representatives but the impeachment trial was not taken up by the Republican-controlled Senate at the time. Impeachment proceedings concluded when then-President-elect Lambert was sworn into office on January 20, 2017. Atkins is the first and so far, only, president in Calicambrian to be impeached twice.
Here is a snippet of the President-elect's remarks:
"I am horrified at the act that took place two days ago when our Capitol building and our democracy were taken under siege by domestic terrorists. And let me be clear, these domestic terrorists were not protesters. They were incited by a former President who has now lost his second presidential election and continues to refuse to acknowledge the results. We saw the same thing happen in 2017 when President Lambert's victory was undermined by a similar mob on the day the Electoral College met to certify results. I wholeheartedly condemn these un-Calicambrian and un-democratic actions by the Atkins campaign and I call for a full and rigorous investigation into the events of two days ago."

Government extends National Health Insurance to those who lost coverage in 2020
The Government, through a decree signed this Thursday by the Doge of the Republic, decided to temporarily extend the protection of the National Health Insurance (ASN - Assicurazione Sanitaria Nazionale) to all those workers who have lost their jobs as a result of the economic crisis occurred in Montevento and in the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic that forced the normal operation of multiple industries to be restricted. The measure will cover anyone who has lost their job between March 13 (the day the health emergency was decreed in Montevento) and December 31, 2020. It is estimated that it will prevent a total of 14.567 people from losing the protection provided by the ASN.
To have access to the ASN, which allows to receive any treatment in both private and public service providers for free, it is necessary, among other things, to have an active job, which is why a considerable number of Monteventanis were going to lose ASN coverage this February when the list of beneficiaries is updated by the Ministry of Public Health to remove those who no longer comply with the requirements. Those without ASN coverage can still receive medical treatments for free at the state provider of health care, the INSP, but would have to pay for any service taken in private providers, many of which specialize on certain types of treatments not offered, or only partially offered by the INSP.
Loredana Micheletti, Minister of Public Health, declared that "the Government is committed to the well-being of the population, and we are continuously studying the needs of our citizens. It would be illogical and inhumane to ignore that many people would lose access to basic services, such as the right to health, for reasons beyond their control, like an economic crisis, and even more so when there is also a health crisis involved".
The temporal coverage of the National Health Insurance will be extended for the period between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021, unless the employee was dismissed for notorious misconduct or resignation. All costs related to this decision will be covered from the Emergency Reserve Fund of the Republic.

IN ABSTENTIA TRIALS SPARK OUTRAGE; PROTESTS IN ARTHERIA AND ELSEWHERE
By Wally Zemenski,
survivor of the Racovnik regime and unabashed anti-communist, thorn in the side of Ressian state media since 1993. Based in Smyrna, Anatolia.
The decision to try two Calicambrian suspects accused of perpetrating the Poznan apartment bombing in abstentia (as the Ressian Government calls it) has been met with controversy and uproar, as protests occur at the Ressian embassies to The United Artherian Federation. The trials are Aressna's interpretation of 'justice' and 'protection of Ressian values' in the absence of an extradition treaty, however appear to be a show trial not unlike those that preceded the Revolutionary Worker's Party's purges during the 50s and 60s, and the mock trials of various foreign leaders the RWP believed to be enemies of the state, of course without any sense of proper justice.
US Republican senators have expressed their resentment at the trials calling them an 'affront to the course of justice in the US', while several prominent Democrats have raised their concern over the implications of a trial in abstentia. The Ressian Government has of course denied that the trials are no obstruction to the US justice system.
Meanwhile, the suspects will be tried in the US, and the fight over whether the accused deserves the death penalty rages. The sentencing of these individuals, should the be found guilty, will of course have a direct impact on the relationship between the US and Ressian governments, with a death penalty seeming to appease the Ressians, while any other would prove the US is free of Ressian influence. We shall leave the decision up to the judges, dear readers.
All in all, it seems the 'free justice' of the 21st Century Aressna cannot escape the atrocities of its predecessor, nor the urge to appeal to mob justice and to ruin their fragile international reputation.

Statement Regarding Calicambrian Attacks
- Dear Mr. Gonzalez,
I've recently seen the footage of the attacks targeting the US Capitol building in Alexandria, District of Columbia.
I wish that no one was hurt, or even worse; dead. We will be following the incident very closely. I wish your government to recover from this situation swiftly as i am expecting Calicambria already is working on it. As one of our allies, we would never want to see your country to suffer from brutal and inhumane attacks organised and orchestrated by domestic terrorists. We will stay tuned for more developments on the story as the time goes by. All Anatolians living in Alexandria DC metro will be advised to stay at home until the so called "protests" calm down.
I officially condemn the attacks in behalf of the Government of Anatolia as the 52nd Prime Minister of Her Majesty's Government.

Marco Kreizler | New York City, Calicambria (UFN Parliament)
Beginning of Secretary-General elections
The time has come to hold the last of the elections of this cycle, with Parliament meeting to debate and eventually elect the new Secretary-General of the UFN, who will assume the leadership of the organization during the year 2021. Marco Kreizler, the current Secretary-General, was, like always, not a single minute late at the chamber, with many folders on his hands which had all the relative information to this election, which is one of, if not the most important election of the organization.
Secretary-General Marco Kreizler: Order please! Good day to everyone present. We will now begin the process to elect a new Secretary-General for 2021. As already announced at due time, there are two candidates for this position: Ms. Yu-na Jeong, nominated by the Kingdom of Corea (Nation of Hanguk) and Mr. Jakobus von Slooten, nominated by Hiram Land. All the information regarding the candidates can be found in the correspondence that was sent to each of you during the past days.
The voting will take place similarly to how the elections for the World Assembly Delegate were carried out. In this opportunity, each MP must vote for the candidacy of Ms. Yu-na Jeong, Mr. Jakobus von Slooten, for neither of the two, or abstain. To be appointed as the new Secretary-General, a candidate must obtain the highest number of valid votes. In case the option to reject both candidacies is the triumphant one, a new nomination period will be opened and new elections will be held as many times as necessary, within a period of one week after the results of this election are announced, until Parliament is satisfied with a candidate.
From this moment on, any MP is allowed to take the floor to ask any concerns they may have about the candidacies of the two candidates. Similarly, Ms. Yu-na Jeong and Mr. Jakobus von Slooten may also take the floor at any time to present to Parliament the reasons why they believe they are the most suitable for the position of Secretary-General. The vote reception period will be open from now until January 11, 2021 at 23:59 EST time, with the results being announced shortly after the period closes.

Election Day Resulted
- SAINT ÈXUPERY - With final electoral ballots counted in Vaillancourt Township, Valérie; the election results are ready. This years elections went rather smoothly compared to others, with record low amounts of invalid votes (which mostly came from donkey voters) and high rates of participation among eligible voters nationwide and abroad with 82.4%. Results were published by Osscarin Associated Press Union (Syndicat de presse associé Osscarique - SPAO) with 5,093,493 valid votes counted and confirmed.
PPR, full name Parti Populaire Républicain (People's Republican Party) led both polls and the election this year with 54.8% of the total votes. The party lost 2.6% of it's support in 2013 elections, and 1.4% in 2017 elections, yet it seems to regain it's support with an increase of 6.5%. Stéphanie Couturier, premier-elect of Osscary, is a well known politician representing the city of Napoléon between 2018-2020. Like most of her party, she openly supports social democracy and mixed-economy system. She will be the first Premier of Osscary who has English roots. Her promises for this election include the full legalisation of cannabis, joining North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and creating half a million jobs in 3 months.
The controversial far-right party Unité Nationale became the main opposition party after getting 31.2% of the votes of this years election. The candidate Régine Desmarais has been running for presidency for 6 elections in a row (1997-2021). Desmarais is a defender of conservatism and is known for her opposition of immigration from Middle East and Africa. Her promises for this election include withdrawing from European Union, introduce strict immigration policies and establish the "Osscary First" economic plan.
Green party Verte proved it's success after entering the Grand-Madoré this election, gaining 8.2% of votes and growing as an political institution as numbers of registered party members increases by 133% (from 5,550 to 12,860) and registered votes by 237% (from 123,596 to 417,668). Their candidate Noé Hérisson is the youngest Osscary ever seen, only being 18 years old. His promises were rebuilding Osscary again as a greener country, with planned acts prioritising the environment over economic output.
Libertarian party Aigle En Or (Golden Eagle) saw a major downfall this year compared to its performance in 2017. Constant discords within the party and the polarisation rapidly affected the performance. AEO candidate Élisabeth Boulle only gathered 3.3% of the total valid votes, which is a big downfall compared to 2017 election results, which was 8.5%. AEO lost 34.5% of its registered voters, most of them voting to Unité Nationale instead.
A new party rose to scene when Coalition Anticapitaliste (Anti-capitalist Coalition) was established last year in February 25th. Despite its young age, Coalition Anticapitaliste managed to capture attention of those who believe in an alternative economic way, which the party promotes as democratic and progressive socialism. An important portion of the voters come from former voters of now defunct parties such as Chemin Communiste (Communist Path), Parti Démocratique Ouvrier De Osscariènnes (Democratic Worker's Party of Osscary) and Société de la Bannière Rouge (Red Banner Society). Candidate Maxime Bonhomme, who is also the founder and the chairman of the party, gained 2.5% of the total votes.
Anne Bouvier, the only independent appeared on ballots, which was also limited to Andorre and Antolès, only managed to get 0.02% of the total votes which means only 1,018 of valid votes were for her. Bouvier is a neo-liberal, defending free market and civil rights with libertarian ideals such as a night-watchman state. She used to be one of the biggest names in AEO, before she parted ways with the party in 2018, seems to be the reason of her downfall that is precisely not in her favour.
With the new elections, the people of the Osscary celebrated premier-elect not in streets parading, but in their own homes due to COVID-19 pandemic and stay home orders. Most Osscarins decided to celebrate on Pekker, with #Couturier and #ÉlectionGénérale2021 hashtags trending in Osscary. Inauguration will take place in January 12, giving outgoing premier Céleste Trémaux three days to empty the House of Cessain.

Capitol Riots in Calicambria & Atkin Supporters in HU riot, EU agreements ratified by Congress, Bureaucratic Reform on the Horizon?
Madam President Lunivari issued a damning statement regarding the recent capitol riots in Calicambria, clearly signaling Hydaelyn's support of the current and upcoming administration. "Modern democracy was born in Calicambria- I fully believe President Lambert and President-Elect Gonzalez, and Congress, can handle the challenges that Atkins has created. The shot heard around the world against my own nation changed the world for the better. We fully believe that Calicambria's democracy can withstand this assault on their democracy, and are steadfast in our allyship with them."
Atkins supporters rioted in several states across Hydaelyn on January 6th, in coordination with the Calicambrian certification of their president. The worst riots were in the Rowena, Rowena. The entire state is still under a state of emergency until further notice, with the state capitol buildings being locked down. Across the nation, well over 100 individuals have been arrested with domestic terrorism, trespassing, destruction of public property, destruction of private property, unlawful travel, violation of public health emergency guidelines, fraud, and interruption of government business.
In Caelistia, at the federal capital, a group of 233 individuals were arrested and charged similarly- with the police having to shoot one man who pulled out a banned weapon; current sources say it was an assault rifle. Several have Calicambrian citizenship, but it was discovered several fabricated exception reasons for being granted entry to the Union. Per sources, Hydaelyn has asked Calicambria to not extradite and allow Hydaelynic law to prevail over these, which is mostly seen as an attempt to stop any further international agitators from trying to instigate violence in Hydaelyn. One pipe bomb placed in Caelistia near the Equal Protection Council, which protects civil rights in Hydaelyn, exploded, though luckily there were no casualties and damage was limited.
As part of her speech, President Lunivari included a rather stark warning for the far-right leaders in Hydaelyn: "What happened on January 6th, which has resulted in over 100 injuries, at least one fatality, untold private and public costs, and was an assault on Hydaelynic democracy and freedom, is partly due to your rhetoric. Words create impact, and those words can lead to violence- as we've seen here today. It is important for us all to condemn violence." As elections are only 1 week away, several police departments have been authorized to maintain order and ensure safety at voting sites in the event of intimidation.
In more controversial news, Secretary General Doris Lyntone is reported to have made a rather vulgar remark regarding Calicambrian capitol police, bluntly stating that "there is no way our capital police, or Caelistia police department, for that matter, would be so unprepared? Did they not have intelligence? Surely they must have- even our intelligence officials have stated plainly that apps like Parler are cultivating domestic terrorism." An anonymous source provided the recording and DISH has made no comment.
In happier news, however, Congress has officially ratified all EU agreements and have been signed into law by the President. In many major cities, there were cheers of celebration at this new found European freedom. As such, the Department of Healthcare has already issued several million European Health Card which are being mailed to citizens with the rest likely to arrive by the end of January.
Congress has officially formed a variety of committees to examine and come up with recommendations on reforming Hydaelynic bureaucracy. Current criticisms are that the departments are too big and lumped together, creating uneasy regulations and conflicting policies. The push really came after the brutal cyber attacks in December of 2020, with Congress and the President both pushing for a major cybersecurity bill. It is likely the reforms will be included in that bill or a subsequent bill. Current expectations are that it will likely take the large, umbrella departments that include many subdivisions and divide them into smaller, more specialized departments with more targeted subdivisions.
LEADER OF OPPOSITION JAKE LOGAN AND KING OF ILLYRIA KING LARSON ARRESTED FOR CORRUPTION AND ABUSE OF OFFICE
Today, Leader of Opposition Jake Logan and King of Illyria King Larson were both faced with separate trials for corruption, bribery and abuse of office. Both were found guilty of these charges and sentenced to 5 years in prison. This was because of both of them "convincing" Queen Jenski to veto the More Democracy Act, which would have limited the powers of the monarchy. It was a highly controversial decision, given that it had been approved by both Parliament and by popular referendum. This veto sparked nationwide protests, with over 50,000 people protesting. Their arrest has been supported by a large portion of the population, and King Larson had been known as "the Hush King" for his supposed frequent use of hush money to silence opposition. He was also a supporter of returning to an absolute monarchy and its a wonder how he and Queen Jenski even held their marriage together. Jake Logan also can no longer lead the Monarchist Party, which will spark a leadership contest. Rohanna Longsmith will be the acting leader of opposition for the time being.
It is expected that over 15,000 euros were involved in convincing Queen Jenski to veto the bill, which is a major show of corruption in the Illyrian Government. Anna Hesla has enquired to look into corruption in the government, along with a possible crackdown. Queen Jenski did not herself get arrested. The protests however continue to rise, along with another protest beginning in Kana.

ALEXANDRIA D.C. -- The United States supports the free exercise of speech and expression within our own borders and where possible internationally. Diego Pietro Gonzalez | Los Angeles
Dear Mr. Aftokorifonos,
I want to thank you and your government for the well-wishes extended to the United States and the Calicambrian people. I am being routinely briefed every 12 hours regarding this situation and I wanted to share, as a NATO ally, that no Anatolians were involved in the mob attack nor were harmed. The Calicambrian government, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and local authorities are working together in a joint task force to investigate these events.
I look forward to working with your government and the Anatolian government during my presidency.

Public notice of Foreign Military Sale
At 8:21 AM GMT, the Republic of Medoynia contracted Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft to build 15 Type XXX-C submarines, the export version of the Type XXX-B currently in service with the Kriegsmarine. The C variant differs from the B in many ways, most notably the absence of the more advanced sonars used by Artheria, instead replaced with export versions. This is not to say, however, that the boat is any less capable. It still retains the stern torpedo tube and other weapons systems, and still uses the same propulsion system as the B, making it just as stealthy.
The 15 boats will be built at the Sevmash shipyard in Russia and the Kiel shipyards. They will be constructed in batches of three, with the first 6 new boats expected to be delivered in late December 2021 or early January 2022. Priority has been given to these boats since both Sevmash and the Kiel shipyards have been freed up with the launching of the Lindemann-class ships. Three Type XXX-Cs were previously built for testing, and have been laid up in a climate-controlled environment unused in Kiel since January 2019, in good condition and constantly maintained. Those boats will be delivered on 29 January 2021 after they are inspected and brought out of mothballs. The total cost for the purchase is 4,830,000,000 NSD. All 15 boats are expected to be delivered by December 2022.
The High court and Arbiter Court have ruled that certain physical conditions without Underlying Medical cause. Moral/political objections to service also do not excuse national service in Medical, Emergency Services, Or Educational roles. Sufficient alternates that do not include the likelihood of violence or combat exist to allow any person to find a means of Fulfilling their national service without conflicting with all reasonable moral objections.
Only physical ,mental, emotional, infirmity caused by medical conditions, disease or congenital defect will be considered for a national service waiver. the individual who filed a claim that their (lifestyle based)obesity was an excluding factor has been ordered to either qualify for and begin their service within two years, or face the penalties for non compliance.

Backlash over Government's new military expenditures
ROISSY -- After news of the Nybourg government's newly-signed deal to acquire 15 Type XXX-C submarines from The United Artherian Federation broke, the backlash was swift and loud. Members of the opposition party in Parliament, the Conservatives, sharply criticized the Government, calling the deal "irresponsible while Medoynia is seeing surges in the coronavirus pandemic in areas of our country." The Leader of the Opposition, Klaus Müller (MP for Engelberg) called the deal a "national disgrace."
Nybourg is also seeing opposition within her own ranks as the Green Party, outspoken against military spending and perceived waste, reportedly refused to endorse the deal. However, opposition from the Greens was offset by the rest of the Liberal Party's coalition partners, the Socialists and the Swiss Democratic Party, signed off on the deal.
Despite the scathing criticism from the Opposition and from within her own government, spokespersons for the Hôtel Matignon (workplace and residence of the Prime Minister) said that the deal will proceed. Funds for the deal will be drawn from the defense sector's large reserves which have been built up significantly as Parliament continuous funds the military but the hesitance of previous governments to spend those funds have led to dilapidating equipment but an enormous budget.
The first submarines in the order will begin arriving late this year and will begin replacing the country's existing submarine fleet. Once all submarines are entered into service, the current submarines will be decommissioned and likely scrapped for parts or sold to other countries.

Results of the Secretary-General elections
The voting period to elect the next Secretary-General of the UFN has come to an end, and therefore, it was time to announce the results to the rest of the members of Parliament. At the same time, this opportunity was also the last time that Secretary-General Marco Kreizler would address parliament as such, leaving his place to whoever was announced as the winner of the elections. Wasting no time, he quickly went to his seat in the chamber and proceeded to start the announcement:
Secretary-General Marco Kreizler: Order please! Good day to everyone present, I hope you are all having a wonderful day. We will now being to do the final counting of the votes to elect the new Secretary-General of the UFN. However, if you allow me, I would like to say some brief words first, given that this is the last time I'll have the opportunity to address the Parliament as my time as Secretary-General is coming to an end.
I want to thank everyone for choosing me as your Secretary-General one year ago, and for the wonderful time I have had leading this Parliament to this day. During this year of intense work, we have faced a large number of different situations, some of them completely procedural, such as these elections, but many others on very specific and even controversial issues, such as the condemnation of the Russian regime and its removal from this Parliament. However, seriousness and commitment to the organization and its ideals always prevailed above all, so once again, I thank you all for allowing me the honor of contributing my grain of sand from this position of importance to the organization.
Last but not least, I would also like to thank everyone for all the teachings that exercising this position has given me during 2020, a year that surely has marked us all, but that will most likely remain in my memory as one of the years in which I have learned the most, both professionally and personally. Being the first Secretary-General of the UFN has truly been a great experience for me, and I sincerely hope that it will be an equally gratifying experience for those who occupy this position in the future, continuing to lead the UFN towards a destination full of success.
Without intending to delay this further, I will proceed to continue with what is important today; announcing the results of the election.
As you can see on the screen behind me, a total of 198 MPs from 9 different countries have successfully cast their votes for this election. Of these, 22 have decided to abstain from making a decision, while 15 have decided not to support either of the two existing candidatures to occupy the position of Secretary-General. The remaining votes are divided into 54 for Hiram Land's candidate, Mr. Jakobus von Slooten, and 107 for Ms. Yu-na Jeong from the Kingdom of Corea (Nation of Hanguk). Therefore, I am pleased to announce that Ms. Yu-na Jeong will be the new Secretary-General of the UFN during 2021.
My sincere congratulations to Ms. Yu-na Jeong. I wish you the best of luck during your time as Secretary-General, or as we say in my country, in bocca al luppo!. If you want to make any statement, the floor is all yours.

Chairwoman Jeong Yu-na wins Sec-Gen election, Corea celebrates
Foreign Bureau, RCPA | Bang Hwi-yeong | 2020년 1월 12일
- NEW YORK - The 390-member Parliament of the United Forum of Nations elected the Chairwoman of the Corean Commission to the UFN Parliament, Antonio Guterres today as the second Secretary-General of the world body for a year.
Jeong, 39, will replace Mr. Marco Kreizler of Montevento. Ban will step down after serving his only term, as said in the UFN Framework. Jeong was a member of the National Assembly since 2010 and became the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2018 to 2019. She would be the first female and Asian Secretary-General.
Jeong pledged previously in her campaign videos to act as an “honest broker” and said he would take a humble approach in trying to deal with global issues, with human dignity at the core of his work. She has also promised that she would promote the ideal of "everyone being able to chart their own future."
Her opponent, Mr. Jakobus von Slooten of Hiram Land would become the Deputy Secretary-General as per their agreement to cooperate on reforming the UFN.
Diplomats were now watching to see who Jeong appoints to senior UFN positions amid speculation by diplomats and UFN officials that Jeong will reorganize the bureaucracy in favor of a cabinet executive.

연합포럼에 대한제국임시위원회 • Interim Comission of Corea to the United Forum of Nations
Speech of the Secretary-General-elect Yu-na Jeong
[ live from the Reserve Chamber, National Assembly Emergency Complex, Sejong, Corea]
- [ Original transcript in Corean, translated in English]
Ladies and gentlemen,
When I heard the Parliament elected me, my feelings could be described by just two words: gratitude and humility.
It is with the same gratitude and humility that I stand before you today, now joined by a profound sense of responsibility.
I am grateful, first of all, to this Parliament for entrusting me with the position of Secretary-General of the United Forum of Nations.
I am also grateful to see that a transparent and open election was held. In this process, the real winner is the people of the world, being able to participate in the decision-making of their own delegates. And it also made very clear to me that, as Secretary-General, having been chosen by all Member States, I must be at the service of them all equally and with no agenda but the one enshrined in the UFN Framework.
I am fully aware of the challenges the UFN faces and the limitations surrounding the Secretary-General. The dramatic problems of today’s complex world can only inspire a humble approach – one in which the Secretary-General alone neither has all the answers nor seeks to impose his or her views; one in which the Secretary-General makes his good offices available, working as a convener, a mediator, a bridge-builder and an honest broker to help find solutions that benefit everyone involved.
Now, over my youth and life, I have witnessed, first hand, the most vulnerable and underprivileged peoples. I have visited war zones. I have visited refugee camps. I have visited poor communities. One would legitimately ask: what has happened to the “dignity and worth of the human person”?
What has made us immune to the plight of those most socially and economically underprivileged? All this makes me feel the acute responsibility to make human dignity the core of my work- and I trust, the core of our common work.
This also underscores the importance of gender equality. I, as a woman, have long been aware of the hurdles we face in society, in the family, and in the workplace just because of our gender. I have witnessed the violence we are subject to during conflict, or while fleeing it, just because we are women. I have tried to address this through every public office I have ever held. The protection and the empowerment of women and girls will continue to be a priority commitment for me.
I have faith in the United Nations because I believe in the universal values it stands for: peace, justice, human dignity, tolerance, and solidarity. Based on these values, I believe that diversity in all its forms is a tremendous asset, and not a threat; that in societies that are more and more multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-religious, diversity can bring us together, not drive us apart.
Ladies and gentlemen,
Going back to those I have met in the warzones, refugee camps, and poor communities, they have repeatedly asked themselves. "Would we be able to change our future?" And this is the collective question of our people. "Will they be able to live in a future that they could make themselves, a future that would benefit them, others, and the world in general?"
To add, the coronavirus suddenly ravaged family by family, city by city, nation by nation. Today, virtually all people today are affected. Families may lose their source of income. Children might fail to receive quality education. Patients may no longer access proper healthcare. Now, peace is no longer demanded just in the warzones and refugee camps. Even our minds want to find their peace and tranquility.
Without peace, life is emptied of all meaning. Without peace, we cannot guarantee sustainable development and respect for human rights, which in turn further hinders the establishment of peace. But peace today is unfortunately lacks greatly in our world.
When I studied History in high school with passion, almost all wars ended with winners. But the conflicts of our time know only losers. Wars seem endless, become increasingly complex and intertwined, and fuel hatred and terrorism. At the same time, the suffering they cause becomes morally intolerable and security is threatened everywhere. It is our collective responsibility to put an end to this state of affairs.
I am well aware that there are among us different visions and sometimes divergent legitimate interests, which create divisions and make it difficult to unite our action for peace. But the threats to our collective security, to the very nature of our societies and to the survival of the planet as we know it are such that our common interest must prevail against everything that divides us. Let us unite for peace - this is the most pressing demand of the citizens of the world that we are here to serve.
It is in the United Forum of Nations, under its blue flag, that the world can meet and build peace, with determination, creativity, solidarity and compassion.
Members of Parliament,
Ladies and gentlemen,
The dream of the Founders of the United Forum of Nations remains to be fulfilled. That dream, the dream of our people being able to chart their own destinies. Much has been done, but there is still a long way to go. We must walk it together, we the peoples, in our multiple roles. The horizon is tangible: the well-being of Humanity.
Thank you very much and God bless us all!
Interim Office of the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Forum of Nations
Mr. JAKOBUS von SLOOTEN
(a letter to the various delegations, recieved a day after the vote towards all of the delegations)
"Esteemed delegates, we are happy here in my house and in Hiram Land to receive the honour of the vote, and we are happy to know that Ms. Jeong has won the election. While she is an opponent to my candidacy, she was elected with full confidence from the electors, and without the controversy you see in several members.
I stand before you today, as Deputy Secretary-General of this great forum. We have much to be done, so there is not much I can say. I will keep my speech short.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are living in one of the worst tragedies that the human race has faced. The coronavirus has caused major struggles and hampered many innovations, while it has made us stronger together, it has also shown the weakness that we hold. Many thousands are dead, a million may have Covid-19, but we have begun making vaccinations to provide that protection. The storming of the Capitol is another tragedy, democracy was struck a major blow that needs to be recovered fast, and we need to make sure democracy is promoted around the world. Finally, we need to step up to end the Russian war. The Russian war has cost many lives for a war that is one-sided and will cause a major refugee problem, so it is our responsibility to broker peace, if not for the long term, at least for the short.
I am happy to work with Yu-na Jeong. She knows what she is doing and I know what I'm doing, and sound minds are needed to counter the growing threat of authoritarianism. We have to make sure that compassion, unity, equality and determination is met, and that the blue flag is not messed with the red stain of destruction in the wake of authoritarianism. We must maintain peace, and that is what we intend to do. I have full confidence in my fellow confidant and my Secretary-General colleague, and I will be working by her side every month of the year.
God has helped the Earth a thousand times. God will help us once again.
Thank you very much. 신의 축복이 우리 모두에게 있습니다." (he tried to write Corean but it was a little sloppy, he never learned)
