Comunicato dell'Ambasciata di Montevento a Kordoba
Statement from the Monteventani Embassy in Kordoba

We deeply regret the events that took place today in the city of Santa Cruz, where a Monteventani citizen was injured in the clashes between protesters and police forces of Meridujo, and hope all injured people recover fast from this situation. The Monteventani embassy in the capital city of Kordoba has already contacted the family of the injured Monteventani citizen and has informed them of the situation, as well as offering any help and support to the affected citizen.

The government of Montevento has so far not issued an official statement regarding the situation, but the embassy in Kordoba has advised any tourist from Montevento currently nearby Santa Cruz to remain vigilant of the current situation and inform of any issue that may happen to them by calling to any of the support lines of the embassy or Consulate-General of Montevento in Bonaero in order to receive proper support from the Monteventani officials.

Luigi Silva, the Founder's Representative, walks down the aisle of the chamber, with his delegation following him. He walks up to the podium, exchanging a few words with UFN-MPs on his way. After taking his seat and a sip of water, he clears his throat, and calls for the start of the parliamentary session.

“Order in the chamber!” proclaims the Founder’s Representative, Luigi Silva. He bangs his gavel against the podium, and the UFN-MPs take their seats and quiet down.

“Thank you. Let us begin this session of the Parliament on this day, the thirty-first of the month of January in the year twenty-twenty.”

"Following the deadline of Friday, January 31, 2020 at 10 AM Eastpont Time for UFN-MPs, heads of state, and heads of government to submit nominations for the position of Secretary-General in the United Forum of Nations, one nomination has been received and validated. Santa Kruz protests shut down by local authorities

For the past several days, protesters against the commune's leadership, Governor Evola Maidano, have been raging on in the streets of Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Demanding the immediate resignation of the Governor and an instant election for the post, the protests have so far been peaceful, with participants occupying the Independence Plaza in front of the Santa Cruz Congress building.

Last night, however, armed police were ordered to disperse all protesters from the plaza while suppressing mobile communication devices in the local area. Reports from the raid suggest that the protesters did not put up resistance against the police. Despite this, the reports also state that the police violently attacked all present, including non-participating civilians in the area. Footage of two policemen chasing one student several hundred metres away from the plaza leaked on Pekker during the raid, causing outrage online. Many of the protesters were detained by the police, including one La Universalo cameraman and photographer, with 42 detainees released this morning, according to the official police records.

In an official statement, police spokeswoman Olga Mendoza justified the raid by saying that the protesters were interfering with local business and the city's maintenance plans for the plaza's water pipeline network. Further, Mrs Mendoza accused some of the protesters of throwing rocks and logs at public buildings and the police shortly before the raid. The Santa Kruz attorney-general has issued a report, detailing that 39 people were injured during the raid, including 12 students, 2 reporters, and 1 tourist from Montevento. 10 people are currently being hospitalised. In addition, 7 officers were injured.

Governor Maidano addressed the situation via public television, calling the protesters "rioters" and accusing the Communist Party and United Front of paying protesters in order to inflate the numbers and "topple this democratically elected government and seize our commune by force." He added that "should these demagogues call for further mass disturbances, we will react with full force, harshly."

The Communist Party denies involvement with the protesters, though several members of the local United Front branch have declared support for the movement against Maidano and have visited the hospital in which many of the protesters are being hospitalised.

Johannes Grant, Chairman of the Nanakian Human Rights Council

In view of the latest tragic events that took place in Meridujo, we officially call, in our capacity as Human Rights Council of Nanako, to appease the police repression initiated by the government of Governor Evola Maidano. The brutal repression of a demonstration with a legitimate aim, carried out peacefully, goes against the principles of freedom of assembly and expression, founding values of the undeniable rights of humanity which, in no case, should be abrogated, even in case of force majeure. We are deeply shocked by this rise in violence and ask that the government question its actions and decisions, for the respect of the undeniable human rights.

Nuova Unione Alternativa votes against Montevento's candidate for the position of Secretary-General of the UFN

Official sources have informed Agenzia Statale di Stampa that of the 20 Monteventani parliamentarians in the United Forum of Nations Parliament, 6 have decided to vote against the appointment of Montevento's candidate, Mr. Marco Kreizler, to occupy the position of Secretary-General of the organisation, while 1 has abstained from voting and the remaining 13 have voted in favour.

The six parliamentarians that voted against Kreizler were Miriam Mantione, Tristano Benedetto and Nicola Branda from the Province of Costa Grande, Lazzaro Di Mauro from the Province of Fiume D'Oro and Irma Casini from Terra Nuova. All of them won their seats as candidates of the opposition party of Nuova Unione Alternativa (NUA). Eugenio Doro, who is also a member of NUA has instead voted in favour of Kreizler. The only representative of PAIS -a minor opposition party- has abstained from voting.

It is believed that the reasons for their negative votes have been the past relations that Marco Kreizler had with the governing Partito Nazionale di Montevento (PNM), as he has served as a member of the National Council for 9 years supporting said political party, as well as being appointed as Minister of Education and Culture under the government of Guido Rulli of the Partito Rosso, who is now in coalition with the PNM.

Eugenio Doro, who won his seat in the UFN parliament in representation of the Province of Fiume D'Oro, harshly criticised his counterparts and qualified their attitudes of "immature", citing that internal politics of Montevento should be set aside while participating in an international organisation such as the UFN, and that, despite Kreizler's political affiliations, he is more than capable of executing this position.

This is not the first time Doro defies the position of his political coalition, as he has had several similar situations in the past, even threatening to leave NUA and found a new political party with the support of his followers inside NUA in 2014 before the National Elections, putting at risk the results and stability of his party.

Republic of srpska and herzeg-bosnia

Peace Negotiations, Sutorina, Republic of srpska and herzeg-bosnia

Day Seven:

The main problem yesterday was the map. Several very controversial points had to be resolved: East Sarajevo, East Gorazde, Sokolac and Rogatica.
As for East Sarajevo, it is interesting that, although part of the city is controlled by the Republic Of Srpska Army, President Jovic left the entire city to the Socialist Republic of Romanija. President Pucar used to say that the city of East Sarajevo cannot be divided and that it must be unique and open. In return for this act, President Jovic received East Ilidza and Pale.
East Gorazde was much harder to deal with than East Sarajevo. First, President Pucar did not give away the entire territory that belonged to East Gorazde. He was to split the city along the current line of military demarcation. President Jovic sought the entire territory, and in turn offered Jahorina.
There was a long discussion about the decision of East Gorazde. President Jovic had been arguing with President Pucar for hours. There are interesting stories, even anecdotes. Because of President Jovic's persistence, President Pucar asked him:

-Boro, why are you stuck so much for that East Gorazde, well, it's a small town with nothing.

-It has the oldest museum in Republic of srpska and herzeg-bosnia, Jovic replied.

-No more museum, because our soldiers demolished it, Pucar replied.

-It has the ground the museum was on. On that ground we will again erect a museum.

-Boro, I thought you were a rational man. I give you the whole territory of East Gorazde.

In the end, President Jovic ran for East Gorazde. The whole territory belonged to him. In turn, President Pucar pledged to make a new route from East Sarajevo to East Gorazde destroyed by soldiers of the Communist People's Army.
The biggest problem in the negotiations was Sokolac and Rogatica. Both cities were controlled by the Republic Of Srpska Army. A new quarrel has arisen here. It broke out between General Veselin Sljivancanin (Republic Of Srpska Army) and General Borislav Eric (Communist People's Army). General Eric kept saying that Sokolac and Rogatica had always been "communist" cities and would remain. In return, he offered Han Pijesak. Negotiations were adjourned to avoid major complications.

Social media all around Nanako made fun of his facial expression while leaving the aircraft, creating some "juicy memes", most of them featuring a caption accompanied with a somewhat silly music saying "WWWWWwwwhhHHHAaaaAAaaaaaa". Kikyo Fusa, State Minister for Home Affairs

I have the pleasure to announce my dear colleagues and counterparts of the Medoynian governement that all asylum seekers currently at the border (3) were allowed inside our nation's borders and are currently being officially processed to obtain complete refugee status under Nanakian Law. But the problem remains as about 14 other individuals have reached our Embassy in Banja Luka to seek a refugee visa and ask for asylum. The parliament will decide shortly on the course of action my administration shall follow, but for the moment, I can only say that the hereafter of these aylsum seekers is my primary concern. If Parliament grants refugee status, we will probably open refugee visas quotas and allow resettlement of refugees if any receiving nation is interested.

Currently we do not allow any entry under R-1 temporary refugee status, but we, under International Law, remain open to asylum seekers currently on our boundaries.

The 3 allowed refugees will be transferred to shelters in Hokosinawa State where they will enjoy everything necessary for their well-being. Henceforth, they are officially protected under Nanakian Law and shouldn't be worried by their homeland threats.

We will update you as soon as decisions are taken in Parliament.

Republic of srpska and herzeg-bosnia

Peace Negotiations, Sutorina, Republic of srpska and herzeg-bosnia

Day Eight:

The worst issue during the negotiations was defining the status of the Socialist Republic of Romanija. President Borisav Jovic and his delegation advocated that the Socialist Republic of Romanija be a state entity within the Republic of srpska and herzeg-bosnia. He also demanded that Sokolac be divided by the ratio of 51% (Republic of srpska and herzeg-bosnia) and 49% (Socialist Republic of Romanija). This was unacceptable to President Djuro Pucar and his delegation. He wanted independence and the creation of special foreign affairs with Republic of srpska and herzeg-bosnia.

Taking the map of Sokolac streets, President Jovic, President Pucar, General Sljivancanin (Republic Of Srpska Army) and General Eric (Communist People's Army) went to a negotiations room. They began to study each and every line of the Sokolac.

President Jovic seemed lenient. President Pucar very secretly happily whispered to General Eric that he would surely get the entire Sokolac. Suddenly President Pucar was overwhelmed with a sense of hope. A minute later, President Jovic got up and came to the map.

He said: "I know, Djuro wants the whole Sokolac. All right, I give him the whole town, but in return I'm looking for something."
President Pucar stood up surprised. He asked: "Let me hear what you want."
He looked at him gloomily.

President Jovic said: "I want East Sarajevo to be divided. 51% belong to me and you get the rest."

President Pucar angrily hit the map and said: "It can't! You know East Sarajevo is the capital! I'm not crazy about giving more than half the city!"

He looked around. He sat down and calm down. President Jovic sat down next to him and said in a friendly tone: "Djuro, let's stay on the old plan. To me the whole Sokolac and to you the whole East Sarajevo."

One great goal of President Jovic was achieved. He got the whole Sokolac. After this, President Pucar also gave Rogatica.

After that it was a joint dinner of both presidents. The dinner lasted 7 hours. The conversation was friendly. After seven hours both presidents came out. They summoned General Sljivancanin and General Eric. They were asked to bring the map back. They went into the negotiations room and were drawing all over the map.

After drawing, President Jovic said: "Djuro and I have agreed. The Socialist Republic of Romanija will be a state entity in Republic of srpska and herzeg-bosnia. It will be called the Serbian Republic of Romanija. The capital is East Sarajevo. The size of the territory remains the same. Sokolac and Rogatica will not be in the Serbian Republic of Romanija This new state entity will have an assembly, government, police, president of the republic and the right to establish external relations with any state in the region, but in accordance with the constitution and laws of Republic of srpska and herzeg-bosnia.The Communist People's Army disbanded to prevent any further conflict."

President Pucar told President Jovic, without hesitation, that the citizens of East Sarajevo would consider him the most deserving of all that East Sarajevo remained entire.
