After the successful counterterrorist operation in Potsdam, the last vestiges of the SS has been cut deep in half with one fell swoop, and thus only 957 remained of the 3,000 militia who had rebelled against the Holy Roman Government. Knowing that Saxony and Brandenburg are lost causes, the men would move southwards into lower Germany, wishing to strike at the de facto heartland of the Empire, Bavaria.

Though many are apprehended in the mass relocation, which shrinks their numbers down to 806, they would remain with unceasing morale. The men would be organized into 8 companies of 100 men, with each company unit acting upon different sections of Bavaria, as opposed to the disaster in Potsdam whereupon the entire bulk of the SS forces were surrounded and crushed attempting to infiltrate a well-defended building.

General Thrawn would predict the possible attack and would actively militarize the borders of Bavaria and Anhalt while the rebels are relocating, which would drive them to settle in the heavily garrisoned Electorate of Württemburg instead, which had been unconventionally occupied by the Air Assault Operations Wing beforehand.

After crossing the border, two companies of the SS would rush in a pincer movement in order to cover numerous defensible buildings as to be able to establish a main fortification. The first target, a hotel, would be cancelled with the assault team heading for that being quickly repulsed by heavy sniper fire. The second target, a three-storey restaurant, would be more or less peacefully taken with the owners and customers taken hostage almost immediately.

Four companies would rush past these defensive formations and would open fire on civilian drivers, not to kill but rather to halt them. Their cars would then be taken and positioned to block off most roads from where Holy Roman forces may attempt to enter. The last two companies would remain in the rear guard with their fronts to Bavaria, closely watching should a flanking government force emerge to surround them.

The Holy Roman Army, declaring this to be a crisis due to its ability to threaten the frameworks of both Württermburg and the ruling House of Zähringen, would send in a force of 600 infantry units, three APCs, numerous helicopters, and a tank in order to see the quick deescalation of the rebellion. As the rebel equipment had dwindled so much to the point of their utilization of copies of antiquated StG 44 designs, there would be no concern regarding potential material losses to the armored vehicles, which would be a correct prediction given that most of the SS bombardiers had been killed or arrested already at Potsdam.

At the beginning of the battle, the APCs are sent out to clear out the blockades, with the heavy machine gun fire serving to clear out any defending rebels. A line of soldiers would stand in support behind the APCs should an explosive attack occur, each lead by a gun specialist to preserve morale. Sniper teams are set up near strategic locations and helicopters ahead of time in order pick off enemy detachments and lone patrols, as well as a priority element in diffusing the hostage situation in the Württermburgian restaurant.

A standoff between the two sides would occur after such preparations. As the affair is currently taking place in the historic Baden region of the Electorate of Württemburg, the battle would be hailed as the "Battle of the Palatinate" in respect of the Imperial Palatinate, which is the current office most at risk should the rebellion succeed in the battle.
