Lankadeepa wrote:"I don't know." Olivia replied. "But if god wants us to come across each other again...well we can only hope."

She gave him a smile. "But I won't forget you anytime soon. Last night...I enjoyed every single moment of it. I don't know if you'll understand how much it meant to me. But even if you don't...well it doesn't change anything. I can't thank you enough."

"I'm happy I was able to do something for you...really, it was a good night for me as well." Viktor couldn't help but feel like something was leaving and he was missing the chance to take it. "W-what if I...get your number? To keep in contact...as friends, if you want." He said, looking at the ground.

"My uncle paid for 50% of the wedding between myself and Maria, after I insisted. Because at that time, Her Majesty was seriously considering funding the whole event. So I think you'll understand why her happiness now matters so much for us, and specifically for Maria."

He continued. "My uncle is, of course,no longer with us, and I'm afraid we'll be losing Her Majesty Maria soon too,now that she has someone much better who would support her throughout her life."

She nodded "I understand yes."

"My apologies. I don't know about that. Family always stayed the most important thing though Daniel is just a apart of the family now."

"Of course." Olivia said, happy to find that writing supplies were inconvenient on a table nearby. Maybe god really did have his plans for them.

She quickly scribbled her number on the front page of a notebook, taking a step back after placing it back on the table. "If you ever visit Vienna, feel free to let me know. I can use another night with you in my life. "

She gave him a playful smile. "So, goodbye Viktor. Let's part now...as friends." She blew him a kiss before turning to leave, surprised with herself that she has a tear to wipe away as she stepped out of his door.

This time she paid for the taxi that took her to the Diet emvassy, where she got off, anxious to see the kaiserin again. There, she walked in through the door more confident than ever before, ignoring the glances and smirks of the guards. She turned once, wishing them a good morning with a smile, before going to meet her majesty.

She entered her room after being announced, to see her dressed for breakfast. Olivia bowed to her.

"Maria, I'm sorry for being late. Will you forgive me for slipping away like that last evening? I hope you weren't worried about me."

As she spoke, she sounded the happiest she'd been, since Maria had met her. Her face was filled with colour again; a welcome change from the Olivia of last week who had come out of so much pain.

France 24 - Prince Daniel and Kaiserin Maria Married!!!

Today Her Imperial Majesty Kaiserin Maria Theresia II and His Royal Highness Prince Daniel got married in Vienna, Dietsland. Across France and Dietsland crowds erupted with joy. In Paris major traffic was blocked near the Effel Tower and the Palace of Versailles as crowds gathered to sing and celebrate the newly couple. The wedding is said to be the most iconic and important in modern history as well as the first where two royal family's marries into each other in the last few years. Prince Daniel is also now the Consort of Dietsland.

"I suppose we're all part of an extended family now." Lashen relied. "That is, following the wedding, even though I don't see anything that would prevent that from happening."

He learned back on his chair. "I'm a man that always believed in the dehumanised nature of geopolitics. That is to say...you only have allies, not friends. But I've come to realise since then that friends do matter. While it's important to always put your own nation on the top of your priority list, it helps to have people who understand you on a much more personal level."

Meanwhile the staff begin to bring in their dinners. "I hope you enjoy it." Maria said, helping Bella with her cutlery. "I made sure it won't be too spicy for the kids, which unfortunately greatlyimits how Lankan today's feast can be. But I hope you like the pieces of France I included in the menu."

Sophia smiled "Indeed that we are."

Sophia smiled "My father would disagree with the friendship part as he sees all his allies as his friends but I agree with what you are saying. "

Sophia smiled "I'm sure it would be delicious. " Sophia looked at the food "mmmm it looks wonderful and I appreciate the French culture in it."

Lankadeepa wrote:Maria hadn't been sure what to really expect as a response, is taken aback by her tone. Now, completely sure that something was terribly wrong between her brother and his newly wedded wife, she faced Sophie's now sorrowful eyes.

"Why, what's going on between you and Karl?." She asked, giving her a kind glance. "You don't have to worry about telling me, even if I'm his sister. If there's anything I can do..."

Sophie Charlotte met Maria’s concerned gaze, a faint smile softening her features as she shook her head slightly, brushing off the topic with an air of dismissal. “Oh, Maria, it’s nothing,” she said, her voice light as she looked around, shifting her focus away from the personal question. “Just… the usual adjustments, you know. Marriage has its ups and downs. It’s hardly worth worrying about.”

She glanced up at the chandeliers hanging above them in the grand hall of the Hofburg Palace, their brilliant crystals glinting in the soft, warm light. “Aren’t they exquisite?” she continued, her eyes lingering on the intricate designs. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen chandeliers quite as beautiful as these.” She gestured to the delicate cuts in the glass, diverting the conversation. “It’s amazing how they sparkle, even in the evening light. They really capture the elegance of this place, don’t you think?”

Sophie smiled again, her tone relaxed and her expression now firmly fixed on the splendor of their surroundings. For the moment, she hoped Maria’s curiosity would be satisfied by the change of subject.

Maria took a steadying breath and looked at Olivia with a mixture of relief and sternness. She’d been worried all evening about her friend's sudden absence, only to see her return now with a glowing, almost carefree demeanor. "Olivia," she began, her voice controlled yet tinged with concern. "I'm glad to see you're well, and perhaps happier than I've seen you in some time."

She paused, observing Olivia’s animated expression, trying to gauge what could have transformed her mood so quickly. "But, you can understand my concern. Last evening, I was left wondering if you were safe, and only now you return, clearly… quite pleased." She gave Olivia a gentle, inquisitive look. "Tell me, who was this man who seems to have caught your attention so thoroughly? And I presume, by your radiance, much more?"
