Perhaps, but I think the PM should choose two nominees and then Parliament should vote among themselves which candidate they prefer.

It is kinda the responsibility for the prime minister to choose whoever he/she thinks is suitable. It provides flexibility as well. It’s the pros of a parliamentary system.

I apologize for the delay in my proposal. I will present the new draft within the next twenty-four hours.

I hope to see the final proposal done/voted on by the end of the weekend. I think so far, everything is looking great.

Edit: Crap, northamerica1 resigned. We will need to find someone to fill his position or else we can't get this voted.

Thanks Chokoku, So far I support section one of the amendment. Although I disagree mildly with the impeachment process, the current structure of the government and population should be fine with a system like this.

I am willing to vote yes either way, but I still have fears that mob rule will eventually come with a government system like this. Most likely in a scenario when our region gains more active members.

Chokoku How long can a government official be absent until they have to be replaced?

Well for PM and the cabinet, it is based on the LA, if LA find them absent for too long they will have a vote of no confidence.

For President I think it is ‘inactive for 7 consecutive days’, as states in Article IV, Section 1 Paragraph 12

Shizal, when you are ready, and if you agree with amendment 3, I suggest that it is best to start a vote now.

Chokoku and Aysiia

Yay/Nay

With the current state of the UAS, it would be a disservice to the region for myself to vote no, even when I may disagree on something. Holding up the legislative process, will only make citizens of the region feel more helpless if I decide to hold everything up. So with the current state of the amendment, I vote,

Yay.

Chokoku wrote:My party will submit this list (people I asked that agreed) as our Legislative Assembly members:
Hong kong people
Aysiia
Assyrania
Shizal
Covalence
The Commoners Republic of America

Cappedore please submit/confirm who you will appoint (could be yourself) so we could form a parliament soon.

After a Parliament is formed, the process of forming the government and the cabinet should begin, these positions should be elected:
Prime Minister
Minister of Regional Affairs
Minister of Foreign Affairs
Minister of Justice (Attorney General)
Speaker of the Legislative Assembly

Also, addressing some citizen’s concern, I propose this amendment for legislation in Legislative Assembly:
nation=chokoku/detail=factbook/id=1290188
It limit citizens from running again after serving one term. This term limit will reset after the following term passed, which is when a citizen can run again.

After that we should legislate on Amendment IV about establishing a clear amendment and impeachment mechanic.

And after that we should start the process of joining the interregional alliance.

But ofc all this would require having a functional Legislative assmebly.

Well since we got a new Parliament, should we begin the process again?

Also could we legislate the following in this order (since they have varying urgency)

1. Form regional government
(Elect chancellor, Regional Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Attorney, Speaker)
2. Legislate Amendment III (term limit one)
3. Legislate Amendment IV (about impeachment and amendment process)
4. bill on joining interregional alliance

Cappedore, Aysiia, Assyrania, Covalence, Shizal, Hong kong people, The Commoners Republic of America

Please talk about laws and legislations here. Thanks!

Alright everyone shall we start?

I believe we should...

We should but all the other members are never active on here

Well, we all agree that the vote should now. We don't ALL have to be active at the same time. As long as the a persons vote is casted in the appropriate time window it's fine.

I say we should start to vote either now or tomorrow.

Who's running for state Chancellor?

Cappedore, Aysiia, Assyrania, Covalence, Shizal, Hong kong people

We don't have to officially start a vote, everyone just has to endorse who they think is best to be the chancellor.

I vote for Cappedore as chancellor.

I too vote for Cappedore as chancellor.

I'll vote for Cappedore.

Cappedore, Aysiia, Assyrania, Covalence, Shizal, Hong kong people

We are experiencing a huge lock-up in legislative affairs. With Covalence not deciding to vote, we assume we all take that as valid consent for us to declare Cappedore chancellor of the Legislative Assembly. We will continue by now voting for Speaker of the L.A.

I would like to nominate you for Speaker. If anybody else wishes to run then we will take it to the polls.
