Yes, I did. And the one from Molossia is independent as well. They should be reflected on the map within a few days.

I like geckos

Bassiliya wrote:Or, we can make it the discussion question here!

Discuss: Time zones and daylight savings! What are your guys' opinions about these topics?

I think that time zones should be abolished entirely, leaving a worldwide time zone. The already arbitrariness of time zones is, to me, pointless. They barely reflect how the sun rises and sets. Besides, with the advent of artificial lighting and people willing to work at different, more "odd" hours, the need to have an exact time zone for each place is, to me, nonexistent. Now, I'm certainly not saying that people should be made to have to get up when it's still dark out just because the sun is shining on the other side of the world. Not at all. But to do away with complicated, arbitrary, and confusing time zones would be beneficial to worldwide economies and people as well.

I partially hold a similar stance regarding odd Timezones but like in India being at a 30 minute offset makes more sense but like how Spain should be GMT but instead is +1 makes no sense unless I'm missing something and Germany and Spain are both facist again.

For DST it's just plain bad and something that should be abandoned. All nations who participate in DST (mainly the West and Levant) have progressed far enough in terms of technology to where we aren't aligned to the sun. And that doesn't even get into all the deaths that happen cause of Spring Forward

Well, I kinda need a timezone, because days in my nation last only ten minutes.

I assume he means the nation and that you should join his RP nation or something. Unless he is actually recruiting for another region, in which case we have a different set of issues.

Oh, well, now I feel stupid. I thought he was talking about a new region.

no that was a joke

Hello

Duraludon and Noyistain

I just finished editing Noyistain's February writing prompt entry. Sorry it took a few days before I could fix the mistakes.

The Tale of the Sunken Mountains

Come forth from sunken mountain calls
the sundered summer moons
The eyrie’s fallen dragon king
hath groaned his grievous tune
The halls that rose in cloudy steeps
now lie beneath the waves
And Yurgen’s fallen kingdom sleeps
in bouldered ocean graves

Yurgen’s son, the dragon fair,
met Omer son of Caelumis
And so the knight and Yurgen’s heir
did battle in the rain
And lo, the dragon wounded lay
from Omer’s mortal blow
The knight, in grief, did haste away
to save his mortal foe

And Omer, bent with sorrow,
bowed in Yurgen’s mountain hall
And told the ancient dragon how
his only heir did fall
So Yurgen, mighty dragon king,
atop his mountain keep
Asunder tore the glistening
and rocky mountain steep

He summoned every dragon
for to burrow through the ground
To find the fabled ore
that made the healing sound
But Yurgen’s heir was cold and killed,
and buried in the mount
As the dragons tunneled deeper still
below the ocean fount

And at thunderous din
the misty mountain climbs
Collapsed upon the beasts
within the darkness of the mines
From the ocean then did Yurgen rise
to seek his dying son
But where his kingdom once arrayed
two silver moons hung

His dragon kingdom moldered,
his dragon scion slain
King Yurgen’s sorrow smoldered
and he sank away again
The halls that towered in cloudy steeps
now lie beneath the waves
And Yurgen’s fallen kingdom sleeps
in murky ocean graves

The rainy dusk hath split
in twain the gilded silver moons
And all who come shall hear again
the dragons’ lonesome tune

But lo, beyond the river black
The Carriage will come, the Carriage Black
By shadowed steed and shadowed tack
And shadowed driver driving

To wrest you from your berth and bower
In deepest night and darkest hour
Across the sea, to the mounts
That sunk below to the ocean founts

Across the span,
A world away from kith and clan
You'll weep at how your woes began
The night the shadows bound you

I don't think you have. Of course, it's not intended to be a reprimand! It's more of a general reminder. Thank you for your participation! It's greatly appreciated.
