The World Assembly Elite Regional Message Board

Hi everyone and welcome to our brand new region, The World Assembly Elite.

I thought I'd take the opportunity here in the first few RMB posts to set out a few of our region's policies and what we stand for.

First of all, we believe in civil rights, and in individual nations and their political freedoms. We don't like fascists.

Also, there's a chance we don't like you - even if you're not a fascist - and we'll label you as a fascist regardless. It's fine though, because "bash the fash", and if someone questions it we'll double down on it and just dig up their past, like an in-character RMB post from four years ago that if you interpret it in a certain way and ignore all context, looks like you're supporting some questionable ideologies.

We do, however, love democracy! Every nation gets to cast their vote to determine policy and external security matters. Some nations get many votes though, hundreds to thousands, but it's fine because although we love democracy, sometimes democracy gets it wrong and we need to have a way to make sure that doesn't happen - that's why 0.2% of nations control 50% of votes cast.

We also hold elections! As we love democracy, every nation gets to vote again! And every election is fair and free - all candidates, regardless of their political affiliation and/or history within the region are allowed to enter at first, but only some candidates with the most votes qualify for the final, general election.

However, sometimes a candidate we don't like looks like they'll make it to the general, and we can't have that. Usually this is the case if they're not really a part of our organisation, but sometimes they also hard truths we don't want to hear. In this case we'll "encourage" nations to vote for other candidates, but if that doesn't work and they might make it through anyway, we'll just give up the pretence of a fair election and outright rig it to keep them out. UwU.
