I feel ya there friend, poverty brothers unite
You're totally fine, don't worry!
The line between parody and reality is so thin at this point its hard to tell. Fox is hard to parody because all they do is push incessant fearmongering and ragebaiting and it's just.... sad to watch. Hard to make something silly out of it, I think, until they break away from the cult of the convicted felon and we can go back to laughing at them for making a big deal of Obama's suit color
The LGBT acronym constantly expanding is definitely a mixed bag. It's very very important for people to feel represented somehow, but when we're stuck dealing with millions of people who can't understand the basic concept of "some people like boys and some people like girls and some people even like both, and that's okay!" it becomes actively detrimental to the cause when you say "actually it's 2SLGBTQQIA..." and they've started ignoring you entirely 8 letters ago because you're coming off as someone who wants to be special rather than someone who wants to be treated with respect
...... I've strayed off course from the original topic haven't I? Heck.
I am guessing that 1) whatever that news outlet is it's heavily biased towards alt-right audiences and that 2) if there are paper copies of this thing Tricklandians burn it on the daily l.m.a.o.
Yeah, fox isn’t great. I’m a conservative myself, but we kinda have built a bit of a cult of personality around trump, huh? Tbh I thought of doing a parody of MSNBC due to their propagandising, but thought this’d open up my beliefs a lil.
And yes, we have absolutely strayed off topic, but that’s good tbh
It’s a centre-right news outlet (largely aligning with the median viewer), and it’s one of the larger Karenthian news outlets. Tbh my whole aim with Holy Karenland rn is to have a cartoonishly evil state grow more cartoonishly evil, promising the left are more cartoonishly evil than them, but people get sick of it on the southern island and install a communist state, but that state ends up being even more cartoonishly evil than the previous dictatorship. So yes, a Karenthian MSNBC may be coming soon.
Sounds like it's time for a news article about a major news outlet shutting down because they were so boring and honest and inoffensively middle of the road that it wasn't financially feasible to keep running due to the lack of engagement by the population
Lesva, Great Altera, Yektov, and Avrazhim
Was hoping Joker 2 could live up to the first one. Looks like it can't even live up to being a piece of dogshit stuck to the bottom of a garbage container. Sad.
Martenyika and Yektov
Glad to hear. What about the food? 😅
Maybe it's just me, but genuinely confused when a colleague described themselves as "Semi-bisexual"
"Oh, it means I'm Bi - but prefer only one gender."
Wut.
But yeah, we assume that ones news articles don't reflect one's beliefs. Mostly.
I do like planes.
News post up, next IC post for ORCA Summit is coming soon:

If you have to tell people you like planes that makes me immediately suspicious you don't. It's basic human instinct everyone should have, so by pointing out that no really you do like them...
Semibisexuality is mostly a meme but the three people i've met who used the label unironically defined it as "i'm bisexual but i choose to only pursue one gender", they were all bisexual women who want to signal they are not interested in dating men.
Alternatives i've seen some people online argue its way of a saying that your attracted to more than one gender but not in equal amounts, others have claimed it means being attracted to, for example cis-gendered women and trans men.
Just remember a lot of these labels don't have fixed or defined meanings and come from highly-online communities.
Can we just go back like 6 years to when it was all just “gay?” I mean that used to be an umbrella term that practically everyone was represented under (No offense Ofc, I just don’t wanna have to learn abt 218 different genders and sexualities in school)
I mean, the identities existed 6 years ago. If you're still in school it's probably that you just haven't heard of them until more recently.
You sure all those mockingly added letters to LGBT in your news post were satire?

The fun part is that there's no easy way to go about this
Gay leaves very little room for anything else and is not indicative of a lot of different things that are meaningfully different like being trans (you can even see this in a lot of the infighting within the community as a whole). I am gay and I use that term all the time, even more than I do lesbian. But if I was bi, I would not consider myself gay. If I was trans, I would not be gay (unless I was both). If I was ace, I would not be gay.
You could use the word Queer, but it has a lot of baggage associated with it since it's a reclaimed slur and a lot of people grew up when it was a bad thing. I personally don't like this word even though I grew up shortly after it fell out of fashion. It's arguably the best umbrella term but ehhhh
There's a more broad term GSM (gender and sexual minority) that could easily contain any number of subtypes and doesn't fall into the problem the ever-expanding LGBT acronym does where it only gets longer as new groups are.. but this has even more baggage associated with it (originally included some nasty and illegal things with it) and it's not common knowledge what it even means. And being referred to as a minority is a big sticking point for a lot of people.
I also have an issue with neopronouns because I view them in the same way I do having the LGBT+ acronym 15 letters long in that it's harmful to the cause right now even though what they stand for is a good thing.
Luckily, you don't have to learn about that many and nobody is being taught that at any noticeable amount. Anyone who says it's happening all the time in schools now is either a liar or being lied to. Some people like boys, some people like girls, some people like nobody. Some people feel like boys, some feel like girls, and some feel like both or neither. Easy as that.
Just for perspective here, I am bi, and I don't really identify with the term "gay." Since it now usually refers to men who only like men, it doesnt really represent who I am, which is why I prefer LGBT or queer as an umbrella term
The food was pretty mid. Honestly, Popeye was the star of the show 😍💕
As someone who is trans and bi, I kind of use both gay and queer interchangeably but only in English.
In both Finnish and Polish (which I try to use more often), the word "gay" ("homo" in Finnish and "gej" in Polish) solely refers to homosexual men. And in both languages, the term is also a slur (akin to fa**ot).
Also might not be in the news but today it's been 50 years since Oscar Schindler died in Hildesheim, West Germany.
Kinda hits hard as I have been looking into going to Kraków and from there to Auschwitz (in and around Oświęcim) with a friend and just yea. Might be a time for me to revisit POLIN, museum on the history of the Polish Jews.
