I'm glad we can agree that Dems are still evil, even if its diet compared to the GOP

I'd rather feed from the hand that occasionally offers me snacks between the beatings than the one that trying to shove glass shards down my throat because its "what's best for people like [me]"

Granted, the best option is to refuse to support the people doling out the beatings and convince the few good people left to make a new viable party; but new viable party is like once every other fifth generation or something at this pace.

I honestly do not know if it is possible. Because even if they are diametrically opposed to each other, if a threat to both comes, they will unify to beat it down

Wellsia wrote:The thing about Reagan’s economic plan, was it was suppose to be short term. Under Carter we had rampant inflation, interest rates were in double digits, much of the jumps in prices were at this time, the economy was booming, but it was out of control, Reagan wanted to stop inflation, not shut things down. He even said it was a temporary fix, it was never intended to be the rally call of the Republican Party

Actually. I distinctly recall Norway equivalent to Reagan Kaare Willoch (PM between 1981-1988) saying something distinctly similar, and being very dissapoint éd when people used the increased liquidity from his reforms on pure consumerism, instead of saving and investing.

If the Democrats grew a spine and fought back with teeth and claws like the 40 years long Republican criminal disinformation machine does, they'd never lose an election again

Even though I'm not a huge supporter of Biden (I knew what I was getting into when I voted for him) I really do like how much actual work he's done or pushed forward. If the Republican party wants to sit with their thumbs up their asses refusing to do their jobs and impeding everything that comes from "the other side" I have no issue or sympathy with them being bowled over for a change.

What's going on my dudes?

Intergenerational conflict, although I have moved on to anger at bankers for the next recession that's about to happen since we never really regulated anything after 2008

No we did regulate after 2008, and then Congress promptly stopped giving a flying f*ck after 2012.

I'd say if only but I'm sure that it'll either do nothing or no body is actually gonna care enough since most of the US population right now is focused on other things

Not that the occupy protests actually did anything anyways. Idk if protesting even works. It seems only full on riots get anywhere

As long as you don't live at home, do what you want

I should have bought one ages ago but I worry too much about things like the cost of petrol and maintenance. Same with cars. That's why I like public transport: my worries are somebody else's problem. I still don't have a driver's license ^_^

Jeriga wrote:As long as you don't live at home, do what you want

I don't but they do help me with alot of stuff, especially my education so, and y'know I also love them and don't wanna be like that. Once I'm a full time engineer though, then we at it

I literally could not imagine not having a drivers license. US public transport is not like that, plus I love driving

Motorcycles are a lot cheaper on the gas and maintenance for one person compared to the average sedan. Still not cheap but cheaper in the long run if all you need is to transport one person

Especially on backroads through the woods with no idea where you are going or what you’re going to do when you get there.

Try doing it for a year and find out she’s been sleeping with her cousin the whole time.
