A) A European-inspired democratic (lean socialist kinda) republic with a constitutional monarchy. Culturally, we're like Canada but if the roles of French Canadians and Anglo Canadians were flip-flopped. In my headcanon, Equilar exists in the same world as IRL countries.

Classic, but appreciated.

D&S is that but Belgium, welcome to the club.

Unfortunately for you, TWI isn't necessarily in the real world. The real world exists to TWI in a historical sense but it more often than not doesn't matter to how the region as a roleplaying entity operates.

Yee, I've heard other nations say that. The Equilar that I use to roleplay within the TWI is pretty much in a vacuum that isn't impacted by non-TWI entities (except European colonization obv). Although in my headcanon, I still like to kinda pretend that I exist in the South Pacific IRL or something, and have stuff like automobile imports from Japan and Australia, or membership in IRL organizations like La Francophonie.

But ye, I understand why other nations in TWI want to do things the way the way they wanna do it. Just so long as you have fun, go nuts. :)

There some good phone lines, websites and TV channels to help you out with that.

Or just drop a message to your friendly neighborhood TWIman.

Regardless of if you believe she got their via her own talents or because of her physical attributes, what do y'all think overall of Kamala? Do you think she'd be fit to be president in case of the worst?

I thought the requirement to be fit for the presidency had been abolished? 🤔

Nhoor wrote:I thought the requirement to be fit for the presidency had been abolished? 🤔

“Fit” in this case referring to her ability to handle the job aspects of the Presidency. To which I say the bar has been set so low that any amount of management experience is prerequisite enough to be President.

Nhoor wrote:I thought the requirement to be fit for the presidency had been abolished? 🤔

I'm not saying we need stronk people to be president(i mean look at the current beanbag in the Oval Office). I meant, fit as in capable of handling the presidency in case of Biden's death, impeachment, etc. etc.

She better be, if the Democrats win. Her vindictive attack on Kavanaugh will not be forgotten and the four years of attack on Trump means she will face the same or worst. Biden, due to age and health won’t make it four years, I’m expecting him to resign for medical reasons about a year after inauguration. Kamala was hand picked to be the next president. From what I understand Biden wasn’t even there when she was chosen. Personally, except for her stance against guns, I liked much of her platform when she was running and had planned to vote for her in the primaries, but she dropped out.

So many people say Biden is in terrible health but nobody ever seems to provide sources to back up their claim

Attack on Kavanaugh? Cry me a river. Somehow it's unacceptable for a Democrat to target someone's character but it's radio silence and complete tacit acceptance when Republicans (who do it far, far more, most of it baseless; just look at the entire Obama era and Trump's.... everything) do it.

Trump is a sh*tstain of a human and a blight on whatever democracy and government.for the people that the GOP hasn't eroded away yet. Pointing out awful things he does or says is hardly a character flaw

Not if, but when. The polls are tremendously in the favor of Biden. As for her platform, I like that she's a supporter for M4A but her history as a prosecutor has been less than favorable... mixed with Biden's history as a senator...

I’m not saying that any of it is true or not, but that doesn’t really matter any more in American politics. For both parties, it is an eye for an eye mentality, and screw the American people. Kamala will be attacked more so then Biden.

The polls almost remind me win Hillary beat Trump

Wellsia wrote:The polls almost remind me win Hillary beat Trump

Biden is in a better position than Hillary was, and he doesn't have decades of smear campaigns against him. He stands a much better chance because he has support from the middle of the road crowd, not just Anti-Trump people. But people still need to get out and vote regardless. Apathy is the downfall of civilization.

Heck, Trump won the election with a massive.... ~20% of the entire population voting for him. But everyone who refused to vote supported the winner either way it swung and they have no right to complain about the position we're in.

And as you well know, Clinton won the popular vote by millions. But the electoral college is heavily weighted towards rural areas, prioritizing rural voters over those who live in more populated areas and making your vote if cast against the trend of your area much less impactful.

A tyranny of the minority.

I agree, but people will make a major mistake if they think the polls say anything, just like 2016, many people will vote for Trump, without admitting they are going to.

Polls can give an insight on the national level on whom will gain the majority, but as of the moment only five states truly matter when it comes to attaining the highest office in the land.

Fallacy. The polls gave Clinton high odds of winning. Not guaranteed odds.

I'd argue at this point if people aren't going to admit their vote, it's more likely to be against than for, given the amount of sh*t he's caused recently. A good chunk of people that vote R only say they are to deflect attention from the rabid actual fans
