Just noticed I'm once again lonely down on the southernmost tip of Argus :/ maybe I should lobby to own everything up to the Wellsian border lol.

Turns out that constantly downplaying the virus doesn't actually prevent it from spreading and taking (in Brazil's case, 65 thousand and counting) lives. Funny how that works

It’s bad how many people deny how severe the virus is. Many say it’s a seasonal flu and it’ll pass when it’s much more. I have no doubt that the denial will worsen it and keep us from making progress for a while.

I had some business in the Luxembourg city centre today and was shocked that less than half the people there have their masks ready for when they step in other people's auras (which was fairly often due to it being around lunch hour), even though cases here have been rising again in the past weeks, and quite a few laughed at me for wearing mine. I'm not wearing that cursed thing for myself though (masks aren't very infective against getting effected and they are very uncomfortable to wear) but to prevent infecting others in the event that I'd be an asymptomatic carrier of the virus.

I was angrily disappointed that so few people give any form of excrements at all...

Remodio and Mahiyi

Hot take

The reason cases have skyrocketed and mask usage is a political issue in America is because we've been told that the masks are for keeping other people safe, not us

I figured it was the other way around and people were more like "I don't care if I get it so I don't have to put this mask on"

Come to Gael so I can annex you we can be good friends. :)

As a person with absolutely horrible asthma, this has been interesting to be in the very least. People around me have been getting sick and the most i can do is stay indoors or wait until the air isn’t so harsh on my lungs to go out. I have been way more cautious due to my condition. In the mean time theres lots of people coming up and saying to me, it’s not as big of a deal and I’m kinda in a panic and paranoia over nothing. I just generally do not get why safety for other people is a political debate.

I think it’s an unhealthy mixture of both...

Masks are a conspiracy by the government to sell more bottles of Corona beer

Or we can split the difference or make it a hostile region similar to Somalia

Make it Mad Max. An irradiated zones full of rival gangs and armed to the teeth with Cold War era weapons and full of oil.

I’m good with that, maybe not so syfy, but a Somalia sitting on area rich in oil, gold, diamonds, ancient burial grounds etc.

...and to judge by the responses my local news outlet got to their survey, people in denial or having been misled, people unwilling to change, and just plain random assholery.

That’s a large area that is well enough for a nation to be in and there are more than enough bold territories. Just do your best to work with the next nation that goes there and hope it works out good :)

Athara magarat

A global alliance of nationalists.

That’s a great example of an oxymoron

The doublethink is real lads.

I know, but it’s not much larger then Charbanga. The only thing I’m concerned (little), is that South Argus between my colonies and Martenyika is sorta the Africa of TWI, the next nation may not want to be a poor third world country.

You can make a case to Van. But I think Charbanga is a bit of a special case and there is saturation. At the end of the day just talk to people and if they show interest in what you're looking for maybe point them there, or just deal with what comes with it

I will, it's just I hate to see empty spaces, which I'm sure you do to. The reason I moved to where I am is that until you, every time someone took your spot ( which I'm sure you remember use to have the southern canal), they would only last a couple of months and then boom, empty again.

Empty spaces do suck, but its a part of what we deal with, I'm glad you've added stablity to that canal

That's why I leave my history ambiguous. So I don't have to rely on other nations and so I can be lazy at the same time.

Are there any alliances/treaties/organizations that are free to be joined?
