How did you hear about The Western Isles?

I was once a part of this region a long, long, long time ago. I would certainly love to come back now that I have a dedicated presence on the site and have honed in my skills as an RP'er. Moreover, I really want to be part of a community that values Roleplay. I was scrolling through new regions to go to, and I wondered what it would be like if I came to the TWI again! So here I am!.

What's some information about yourself (hobbies, interests, country, etc.)?

I am a lover all things Asian history! I am a person of Indian origin, and I am deeply interested in Lingayatism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and other facets of Indian culture and history. I am deeply interested in legislature (I know, strange), and absolutely love world cultures. I am language dork and I currently have proficiency, albeit, limited in a around 6 languages. I love studying the language and how it evolves - those deeply interest me.

What kind of nation are you trying to make?

I am trying to make a nation that is a deep reflection of my deepest thoughts and wishes. I want to make a country that represents many of the opinions that I share, while making a new history for it. I want to make a nation whose history is intertwined with that of real examples - but distinct enough to be its own. I am, alltogether, excited for an oppotunity to forge my own nation out of the dust.

Somehow I missed this. I am deeply looking forward to seeing what you'll do! Say, if you wanna talk history, just telegram me! I'm in the process of writing it right now!

UKR Depatment of transit
The UKR department of transit or UKRDOT is the government organization in charge of the administration of UKR transit.

Road network

UKRDOT builds and maintains all federal roads and highways. in the UKR there are three types. Inter regional controlled freeway commonly known as "the interway." Interways are controlled freeways with at least four lanes beetween major cities and industrial centers. The first Interway was built in 1971 from Marm to New Stockholm. Interways are designated by red shields with black numbers. The max speed on most Interways is 80 Miles per hour. Federal Highways federal highways are built between cities and towns their size depends on traffic but most are two to four lanes and have max speeds around 65 MPH. Federal highways are designated by red circles with black boarders and numbersRegional Highways Regional highways are mostly the same as Federal Highways but are owned by the regions. some Regional highways however are similer to Interways. Regional highways are designated by black diamonds with a red out line of the region and numbers. Local highways Local Highways are byways owned by the county they are in they are designated by a red square and black numbers. Max speed on these roads is 55 MPH.

Interway ferries Interway ferries take travellers and their cars between the north and south islands and between the southern islands. Interway ferries are are compleaty free as they take the place of bridges.

Train network
In the UKR tracks are built by by private railroads however UKRDOT is in charge of maintaining standard gauge and Voltage. UKRDOT is also in charge of train traffic control and investigating wreaks. Stations in the UKR all train stations are built by the town or city they are in but UKRDOT operates them to keep the system Uniform. RailroadsThe UKR has three main railroads, the Marm Railroad operates passenger service Between Marm New Stockholm and Kalmar. The West Tarnesian railroad operates freight and passenger service in the western half of the country and New Stockholm. KNSNM operates freight services to every major city on the Main Island. NSR operates passenger service in the south of the main island. And Southern operates all the railroads on the Southern Isles. High speed rail The West Tarnesian Railroad is the only company to operate high speed rail. WTR high speed trains have a top speed of 165 miles per hour.

Air System

AirportsLike train stations airports are built by cities but operated by UKRDOT. In the UKR there are Three International airports, New Stockholm, Kalmar, and Newport. most International flights end in Kalmar however some go to the others. Air traffic control UKRDOT pays for national Air traffic control and Airport ATC. The national control is based in Odense in the Southern Islands. Airlines There are Three major airlines in the UKR Air Kalmar, Aeroplomf, and West Tarnesian. Air Kalmar Flys international flights from Kalmar and Domestic Flights from New Stockholm. West Tarnesian flys international from Newport. Aeroplomf flys to small islands in the southern part of the country. And Air New Stockholm is a luxery Airline that flys international from New Stockholm.

VE program The Visitor encouragement program is a program started by The UKR tourism Board and UKRDOT. The VE program provides subsidies for airlines to improve the in flight expirence to attract tourists to the UKR. This results in UKR international flights economy class being similar to buisness class in other countries

Important for: dumb larp losers.

So our history would stretch back then. As Balnik was also communist. Seems we would've been closer friends than we thought.

I dunno if you know this but most Nepali Hindus are Shaivaists. Pashupati was the national god of this country (dunno if he still is since we became secular). Not to mention Kirateshwar and Bhairav have temples almost everywhere. All of these dudes are different forms of Shiva.

Lingayatism is considered to be a branch of the Shaivite school (around here).

Speaking of different forms, the god Banashur and demon Yalung of Far Cry 4 are the same guy in eastern Nepal amd Sikkim.

I can't help but think Ubisoft is trying to say something about how humans both respect and fear the divine.

Air strikes? Your reporter has gone out of his mind. The last thing you do to a nation about to tear itself apart is unite it by giving it a common enemy again. Plus, I've got a cool anti-air system now :D

an expensive one too :(

Thuzbekistan wrote:Air strikes? Your reporter has gone out of his mind. The last thing you do to a nation about to tear itself apart is unite it by giving it a common enemy again.

He wasn't serious - it was more of a "do this or do that - just do" kind of an argument.
