NA is a story invented by the liberal conspiracy to distract us from the fact that all of MSTO has been replaced with hollow dopplegangers controlled by Ru'satz-Sed'l, Red Spawn of the Consuming Star and the One Whom Sustains the Corruption. Wake up sheeple.

Franco-albion and Miklania used to co-run the West Mesder Aerospace Shield, where FA had the Excalibur missile programme.

An aerospace warning, air sovereignty and defence network for the West Mesder area of The Western Isles

The West Mesder Aerospace Shield (codenamed "Excalibur") is a combined organization of various national territories in the West Mesder area of the Western Isles region. Excalibur's main purpose is to provide aerospace warning, air sovereignty, aerospace monitoring and defence for its member nations. Each member nation has a national command centre to coordinate national responses, whilst a separate main headquarters is located in the mountainous regions of central Franco-Albion, located in a nuclear bunker. The Excalibur commander and deputy commander are, respectively, a Franco-Albion four-star general or equivalent, as well as both a Miklanian and Segentova three-star general or equivalent.

Organisation

Excalibur Command (EXCOM) maintains the central headquarters of the Excalibur Project, located at the Twin-Peaks Air Force Base near Isenburg, Franco-Albion. Both EXCOM and Excalibur Franco-Albion (EXFRALB) are located in the Twin-Peaks airbase, nestled in the Elounda mountain ranges between Isenburg and Isles-De-Fleurs. The command centre is located deep beneath the mountains, located in a nuclear bunker with a large airbase located at the base of the valley between two of the prominent mountain peaks. Whilst the external base is theoretically exposed to an attack, the EXCOM facilities are self-sufficient during a conflict and can sustain themselves indefinitely in the event of a nuclear attack. The Elounda mountain ranges are said to provide some protection from nuclear blasts that could occur in the nation, though the external airbase could not withstand a direct hit.

The EXCOM facility serves as a central collection and coordination facility for a worldwide system of sensors designed to provide the commander and the leadership of Project Excalibur with an accurate picture of any aerospace or maritime threat. Project Excalibur has administratively divided the regions into nationalised hubs: the Excalibur Franco-Albion (EXFRALB) Region; the Excalibur Miklanian (EXMIK) Region and the Excalibur Segentova (EXSEG) Region.

As the nature of EXCOM is a multi-national venture, its' staff are recruited from the various armed forces of its member nation, according to their contributions to the project. As EXCOM is located in Franco-Albion, the majority of its staff are from the host nation. However, as co-founding nations, Miklania and Segentova both have contributed significant numbers of personnel to the central base.

Each region has a role to play in the Excalibur Project. Aside from their defending and monitoring their own sovereign airspace and maritime borders, each region has a set task, monitoring an aspect of the global surveillance network.

Excalibur Franco-Albion (EXFRALB) Region
Excalibur Franco-Albion (EXFRALB) maintains continuous capability to detect, validate and warn of any atmospheric threat in its area of operations from its Regional Operations Control Center (ROCC) at Twin-Peaks Air Force Base, Franco-Albion. The facility also has the responsibility of monitoring global low-orbit traffic, reporting any findings to EXCOM.

EXFRALB also maintains the readiness to conduct a continuum of aerospace control missions, which include daily air sovereignty in peacetime, contingency and/or deterrence in time of tension, and active air defence against manned and unmanned air-breathing atmospheric vehicles in times of crisis. In its role as the EXFRALB Region, EXFRALB also performs counter-drug surveillance operations.

EXFRALB is supported by both active duty and reserve units. Active duty forces are provided by both the Commonwealth Air Force and Army, and reserve forces provided by the Commonwealth Army. Both the Air Force and Army provide active duty personnel to the ROCC to maintain continuous surveillance of Franco-Albion airspace.

Aerial interceptions are performed by Azrael fighters of the Commonwealth/Union Air Force. Anti-aircraft JAMM-ER missiles launched from the numerous vertical launch systems on the mainland or from Franco-Albion naval assets. Low orbit ballistic missiles are intercepted using the LinkExcalibur Block I missile, whilst high-orbit ballistic missiles are countered using the LinkExcalibur Block II missile.

Excalibur Miklanian (EXMIK) Region
Excalibur Miklanian (EXMIK) Region hosts its operations from Miskolc Island, Miklania. It is responsible for providing surveillance and control of Miklanian airspace. The Miklanian Air Force provides alert assets to EXMIK. The routine operation of EXMIK includes reporting track data, sensor status and aircraft alert status to both EXCOM headquarters. EXMIK joint-primary role is to use the Excalibur Project's sophisticated network of satellites and global sensors to monitor high-altitude activity across the globe, reporting findings back to EXCOM.

EXMIK operates a range of defence strategies to defend its aerial and naval borders. To intercept medium and long range ballistic missile threats, the Miklanian military deploys the LinkGround-Based Midcourse Defence system. For short and medium threats (and some long range threats), the LinkTerminal High Altitude Area Defence system is deployed. For aerial interceptions, the Miklanian Air Force deploys numerous F-21 Seraphim fighter aircraft. Ground-launched interceptions utilize the LinkPatriot Advanced Capability-3 missile system.

Excalibur Segentova (EXSEG) Region
Excalibur Segentova (EXSEG) Region is the component of the Excalibur Project that provides airspace surveillance and control and directs air sovereignty activities for global operations, reporting findings and operations to EXCOM.

EXSEG is the Excalibur designation of the Excalibur Project headquarters for Segentova. Its headquarters is located at Mont Carl airbase, Segentova. EXSEG comprises National Fighter Wings assigned an air defense mission to EXSEG, made up primarily of citizen and military Airmen. The primary weapons systems are the MIM-104F (PAC-3), 9K37 Buk and Sariel SRF aircraft.

It plans, conducts, controls, coordinates and ensures air sovereignty and provides for the unilateral defence of Segentova, whilst also observing global air-traffic networks, reporting its findings to EXCOM. It is organized with a combined Air Force command post at Mont Carl airbase.

Time to look for a new spot on the map.

--edit--

I apologise to all those who I was attempting to intereact with and dissapeared. For those who don't know my dog chewed my Computer charger and I have been waiting to recieve a new one while being limited to my phone. I currently have a tablet which allows me to do most of what I want outside of creating maps.

I get the feeling that this was not coincidental.

My new favorite world-building style is making secret documents. I might go fully overboard and print them out, photocopy them, and then paste the pictures to resemble a PDF scan of a real document.

Basically not much. There's like only 10 students in First Year IT class.

At least I can now bring laptops to places of education :P
