The unstoppable force meets the immovable object.

I’ll be frank, the Bonnie Blue flag will be much more useful as a non-offensive symbol of the South than the flag of literal rebellion (saying this, the same can be applied by any Brit in observing anybody flying the American flag).

Keep it around as history, same with the statues. Let people learn about the war, why it was fought, and why another shouldn’t be fought. As for people individually flying it, so long as they don’t do anything illegal or immoral, I can’t say they shouldn’t be allowed to fly it.

That may be a thing. I'm taking an ancestry test and a worrying amount of my family is from Poland so we will see.

Where did I hear this before?

I was taught the abolition narrative, even in the Southern schools I went to. It wasn’t until high school and APUSH that I was taught the war was fought principally to preserve the Union, which then included the abolition of slavery.

Originally, Captain America. It's a quote from the comics that they gave to Sharon Carter in Civil War.

Self-righteous hypocrites and foreigners that don't know what they're talking about, who insult the entire region and everyone in it, piss me off. Frankly the endless bashing and name calling is what has caused so many people to vote for crass populists like Trump.

You and I have a lot in common actually, my friend.

The trouble with school curriculums is that the motivations of an individual are so complex as to defy a simple textbook explanation. And there were a few million individuals involved in that part of history.

Better to be mostly right and explain the multiple different narratives rather than be partly right or outright wrong by focusing on any one in particular.

But if history education were more nuanced you’d lose out on many of loyal propaganda devouring citizens.

It's almost like we're all one species, that race is a matter of environmental and cultural circumstance, and that politics based on racial hierarchy are f*cking stupid, hateful and ignorant. Who'd have thunk it.

Speaking of comics, any chance we get exclusive rights to making films or video games of your comic superheroes? Like how Sony has "rights to Spiderman" thing.

Or what? Your system will fall apart because fascism in the long term falls apart naturally under its own disgusting weight?

I don't know how popular they'd be outside of MS. They are so specifically culturally Mennan it might not translate.

If it owns the property, or licenses it under exclusive terms to another company.

Thats stupid. Let's hope my nose isn't too big

South is a place, north, east and west are directions. When I was growing up one the basic sayings was: “Save your Confederate money cause the South going to rise again.” I was 12 years old before I found out damnyankee was two words. As far as education the second level of universities, just below the Ivy League are mostly found in the South.

But when it falls apart it becomes a very strong democracy, look at Spain and Taiwan (Nationalist China)

A few of them might still work...Ghast might be popular, he's basically a werepanther Daredevil. Iki the Investigator might also work with some adaptation turning him into a sort of ghost hunter? I dunno.

I think this Iki the Investigator guy might work.

And I guess some of the historical characters could be sort of a fantasy film series.

To note, I have more ideas for characters I haven't added, and I still need to write character backgrounds.

Till 5th Grade, we are like our country is so big, it has so many mountains and hills and so many different people and climate and animals, etc.

Come 6th Grade and we are all: "our country's barely a dot on this world map..."

And thus, it is no surprise that half of our population is abroad...
