What?

WorldNation3000 wrote:how can I farm my card nations for resources?

"Card Farms" refers to nations which have been created for the sole purpose of gathering trading cards for the Tradng Card mini-game. Otherwise there are no resources to farm in NS.
You can find more information about Trading Cards here: page=news/2018/12/21/index.html

I was just curious, what exactly is the challenge option that you can choose on other nation's pages? I dont plan on using it but is it like simulated war or something?

It just compares your stats with those of another nation.

Ah ok thanks. Another question if I may. Is there anyway for me to approve a proposal to the World Assembly so it can go to a vote, or am I not a high enough level yet?

Delegates only.

Once a proposal reaches quorum and is put out to the vote then all WA members can vote on it.

I almost forgot today's amazing fact!

Hot water freezes faster than Cold water.

Known as The Mpemba Effect, Hot water, under the right conditions, can freeze faster than cold water. This was first noticed in the 1960's and recent tests has shown that the effect is indeed real. The same can also be said for cold water can reach boiling point faster than hot water, this is known as The Reverse Mpemba Effect.

Thanks very much my friend

Wait what how the f**k does this work?

You can also raise the temperature of water past the boiling point at normal atmospheric pressures and still remain liquid.

There is also a form of ice that is hotter than boiling water...

Evaporation is endothermic, yo.

Quoted for truth.

One study on the Mpemba Effect shows that strong hydrogen bonds in water (bonds between water molecules) get stronger at higher temperatures.

Freezing is when molecules lose enough energy and slow down enough that the bonds between them "lock" them into place. So my guess is that what happens in hot water is that while it has stronger H-bonds than cold water, the movement of the molecules is too much for the bonds to trap the molecules. But when it gets cooled and the molecules slow down, it already has the strong H-bonds needed for freezing, and as a result, freezes faster than cold water, which doesn't have those strong hydrogen bonds ready before it hits freezing temperature.

Wow, never learned that in chemistry class and Iím in whatís called Scientific Studies class, guess you never learn the important stuff in high school

So if this is the type of stuff you like to learn, ill make sure to post more fun facts that are so shocking, they defy everything you know!

Hey everybody! College football sign-ups will close after this weekend, so now's a great time to sign a team up if you haven't yet! It's a fun chance for your country's teams to compete against those of your regionmates.

Karaoke Friday.

Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fJ9rUzIMcZQ

Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide
No escape from reality
Open your eyes
Look up to the skies and see
I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy
Because I'm easy come, easy go
A little high, little low
Anyway the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me, to me
Mama, just killed a man
Put a gun against his head
Pulled my trigger, now he's dead
Mama, life had just begun
But now I've gone and thrown it all away
Mama, oh oh
Didn't mean to make you cry
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow
Carry on, carry on, as if nothing really matters
Too late, my time has come
Sends shivers down my spine
Body's aching all the time
Goodbye everybody I've got to go
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth
Mama, oh oh (anyway the wind blows)
I don't want to die
Sometimes wish I'd never been born at all
I see a little silhouetto of a man
Scaramouch, Scaramouch will you do the Fandango
Thunderbolt and lightning very very frightening me
Gallileo, Gallileo, Gallileo, Gallileo, Gallileo, figaro, magnifico
I'm just a poor boy and nobody loves me
He's just a poor boy from a poor family
Spare him his life from this monstrosity
Easy come easy go will you let me go
Bismillah, no we will not let you go, let him go
Bismillah, we will not let you go, let him go
Bismillah, we will not let you go, let me go
(Will not let you go) let me go (never, never let you go) let me go (never let me go)
Oh oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no
Oh mama mia, mama mia, mama mia let me go
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me for me for me
So you think you can stop me and spit in my eye
So you think you can love me and leave me to die
Oh baby can't do this to me baby
Just gotta get out just gotta get right outta here
Oh oh oh yeah, oh oh yeah
Nothing really matters
Anyone can see
Nothing really matters
Nothing really matters to me
Anyway the wind blows

Wonderful cover of a Billy Bragg song.

Kirsty MacColl - A New England

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Vnzpg5GgQCo

I was 21 years when I wrote this song
Iím 22 now but I wonít be for long
People ask me when will I grow up to understand
Why the girls I knew at school are already pushing prams

I loved you then as I love you still
Though I put you on a pedestal you put me on the pill
I donít feel bad about letting you go
I just feel sad about letting you know

I donít want to change the world
Iím not looking for a new England
Are you looking for another girl?
I donít want to change the world
Iím not looking for a new England
Are you looking for another girl?

I loved the words you wrote to me
But that was bloody yesterday
I canít survive on what you send
Every time you need a friend

I saw two shooting stars last night
I wished on them but they were only satellites
Itís wrong to wish on space hardware
I wish, I wish, I wish youíd care

I donít want to change the world
Iím not looking for a new England
Are you looking for another girl?
I donít want to change the world
Iím not looking for a new England
Are you looking for another girl?

My dreams were full of strange ideas
My mind was set despite your fears
But other things got in the way
I never asked that boy to stay

Once upon a time at home
I sat beside the telephone
Waiting for someone to pull me through
When at last it didnít ring I knew it wasnít you

I donít want to change the world
Iím not looking for a new England
Are you looking for another girl?
I donít want to change the world
Iím not looking for a new England
Are you looking for another?

I donít want to change the world
Iím not looking for a new England
Are you looking for another girl?

Looking for another girl?
Looking for another girl?
Looking for another girl?

Girl?
Girl?
Girl?

Mama Tried

https://youtu.be/CUhXAaM3jWo

The first thing I remember knowing,
Was a lonesome whistle blowing,
And a young un's dream of growing up to ride,
On a freight train leaving town,
Not knowing where I'm bound,
And no one could change my mind but Mama tried
One and only rebel child,
From a family, meek and mild,
My Mama seemed to know what lay in store
Despite my Sunday learning,
Towards the bad, I kept turning
'Til Mama couldn't hold me anymore
I turned twenty-one in prison doing life without parole.
No one could steer me right but Mama tried, Mama tried
Mama tried to raise me better, but her pleading, I denied
That leaves only me to blame 'cause Mama tried
Dear old Daddy, rest his soul,
Left my Mom a heavy load,
She tried so very hard to fill his shoes
Working hours without rest,
Wanted me to have the best
She tried to raise me right but I refused
I turned twenty-one in prison doing life without parole
No one could steer me right but Mama tried, Mama tried,
Mama tried to raise me better, but her pleading, I denied
That leaves only me to blame 'cause Mama tried.

Throwing Stones

https://youtu.be/IUdNWUfZsPQ

Picture a bright blue ball
Just spinning, spinning free
Dizzy with eternity
Paint it with a skin of sky
Brush in some clouds and sea
Call it home for you and me
A peaceful place or so it looks from space
A closer look reveals the human race
Full of hope, full of grace, is the human face
But afraid, we may lay our home to waste
There's a fear down here we can't forget
Hasn't got a name just yet
Always awake, always around
Singing ashes to ashes all fall down
Ashes to ashes all fall down
Now watch as the ball revolves and the nighttime falls
And again the hunt begins and again the blood wind calls
By and by again, the morning sun will rise
But the darkness never goes from some men's eyes
It strolls the sidewalks and it rolls the streets
Staking turf, dividing up meat
Nightmare spook, piece of heat
It's you and me, you and me
Click, flash blade in ghetto night
Rudie's looking for a fight
Rat cat alley roll them bones
Need that cash to feed that jones
And the politician's throwing stones
Singing ashes to ashes all fall down
Ashes to ashes all fall down
Commissars and pin-striped bosses role the dice
Any way they fall guess who gets to pay the price
Money green or proletarian gray
Selling guns instead of food today
So the kids they dance, and shake their bones
And the politician's throwing stones
Singing ashes to ashes all fall down
Ashes to ashes all fall down
Heartless powers try to tell us what to think
If the spirit's sleeping, then the flesh is ink, yeah
History's page, it is thusly carved in stone
The future's here, we are it, we are on our own
On our own. On our own. On our own.
If the game is lost then we're all the same
No one left to place or take the blame
We will leave this place an empty stone
Or that shinning ball of blue we can call our home
So the kids they dance, they shake their bones
And the politicians, throwing stones
Singing ashes to ashes all fall down
Ashes to ashes, all fall down
Shipping powders back and forth
Singing "black goes south and white comes north"
And the whole world full of petty wars
Singing "I got mine and you got yours"
And the current fashions set the pace
Lose your step, fall out of grace
And the radical he rant and rage
Singing "someone got to turn the page"
And the rich man in his summer home,
Singing "Just leave well enough alone"
But his pants are down, his cover's blown
And the politicians throwing stones
So the kids they dance they shake their bones
Cause its all too clear we're on our own
Sing ashes to ashes, all fall down
Ashes to ashes, all fall down
Picture a bright blue ball just spinning, spinning free
It's dizzying, the possibilities
Ashes to Ashes, all fall down (Ashes to Ashes, all fall down) [Repeat: x4]
Wo, fall down, (Ashes to Ashes, all fall down)
Wo, fall down (Ashes to Ashes, all fall down)
Ashes, Ashes all fall down (Ashes to Ashes, all fall down)
Wo, fall down, (Ashes to Ashes, all fall down)
Wo, fall down (Ashes to Ashes, all fall down)
Ashes, Ashes all fall down (Ashes to Ashes, all fall down) [Repeat: x3]

This weekend is the first of the three great American summer holidays! Live well everyone!

US Blues

https://youtu.be/3uB_25Boz7o

Red and white, blue suede shoes, I'm Uncle Sam, how do you do?
Gimme five, I'm still alive, ain't no luck, I learned to duck.
Check my pulse, it don't change. Stay seventy-two come shine or rain.
Wave the flag, pop the bag, rock the boat, skin the goat.
Wave that flag, wave it wide and high.
Summertime done, come and gone, my, oh, my.
I'm Uncle Sam, that's who I am; Been hidin' out in a rock and roll band.
Shake the hand that shook the hand of P.T. Barnum and Charlie Chan.
Shine your shoes, light your fuse. Can you use them ol' U.S. Blues?
I'll drink your health, share your wealth, run your life, steal your wife.
Wave that flag, wave it wide and high.
Summertime done, come and gone, my, oh, my.
Back to back chicken shack. Son of a gun, better change your act.
We're all confused, what's to lose?
You can call this all the United States Blues.
Wave that flag, wave it wide and high.
Summertime done, come and gone, my, oh, my.

Two of my favorite voices on this one.

Love Me Anyway
~P!nk featuring Chris Stapleton~

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQyJsYc02bY

Even if you see my scars, even if I break your heart
If we're a million miles apart, do you think you'd walk away?
If I get lost in all the noise, even if I lose my voice
Flirt with all the other boys, what would you say?

Could you?
Could you?
Could you love me anyway?

Is it for better or for worse, or am I just your good time girl?
Can you still hold me when it hurts, or would you walk away?
Even if I scandalize you, cut you down and criticize you
Tell a million lies about you, what would you say?

Could you?
Could you?
Could you?
Could you love me anyway?
Could you? (Aw, could you?)
Could you? (Could you?)
Could you?
Could you love me anyway?

Could you?

Could you? (Could you still love me?)
Could you? (Pick up the pieces of me?)
Could you? (Could you still love me?)
Could you love me anyway?
Could you? (Ooh, could you still love me?)
Could you? (Pick up the pieces of me?)
Could you? (Could you still love me?)
Could you love me anyway?
Could you? (Could you catch me when I fall?)
Could you? (And we rise above it all)
Could you? (And hold me when it hurts)
I can't stay here in the world, could you?
Could you? Could you? Could you?
