Read dispatch

Also, is this sort of thing okay? This is the kind of thing I could be doing (daily posts about football, etc). I read the RMB etiquette dispatch and the NS FAQ, and I know this could be stretching the 'vaguely relevant to NS' part. However, I also think it'd be nice to be able to accommodate any football/soccer fans here.

I would say that it's fine (though other Guardians may disagree), though I would recommend either spoilering the dispatch or overriding the embed by

Alright, thank you for the help!

This poll is really interesting, I would have expected a few native Chinese speakers considering it's the number one most spoken language in the world. I don't believe Nationstates is blocked there either. There are some, but apparently not many in TWP as it would seem.

They exist, albeit, sparely. I think the ones living there might use VPN if it is blocked, but I had an acquaintance who moved there a year or so ago who's logged in. I should have asked if it was through VPN I guess. :P

12:49 AM, so it's punday monday time!

What did the mole say after teaching a late night chemistry class?
"Man, that really did a significant number on me."

Speaking of late night adventures, a businessman sued US Airways after they lost his luggage.
Unfortunately, it seems that he lost his case...

But man, if ya really wanna talk about a night terror, imagine sleepin' in a sketchy motel and waking to find that you've been buried alive. Well I'd reckon you think to yourself, "I've made a grave mistake."

Honestly, nothing could probably be worse than talking to a flat-earther though. Still, I guess it'd be mildly amusing?
"Such an educational rally. Hey man, you a flat earther too?"
"Nah."
"Well scram then, stop bogging down our rally you filthy conformist!"
"Meh. I think I'll stick around. I really like the atmosphere.

Happy punday monday everyone!
Also good morning.

TODAY IN THE WEST

Chocolate Pecan Pie Day - If you have a sweet tooth, Chocolate Pecan Pie Day is the perfect opportunity to indulge. You needn’t feel too guilty about grabbing a piece of pie, because pecans have all kinds of health benefits. They contain more valuable antioxidants than any other type of nut, plus plenty of fibre, minerals and vitamins.

The word pecan comes from the Native American Algonquin language. As the only nuts native to north America, pecans have been eaten for generations in both the USA and Mexico, but they’ve only been grown commercially since the late 19th century. One of the most popular ways to enjoy these buttery, crunchy nuts is to bake them in a pie, and adding chocolate makes it even more delicious. The perfect way to celebrate Chocolate Pecan Pie Day is to bake a pie for family and friends. Go nuts and enjoy yourself!

Punday Monday - Make us roll our eyes and groan at your best (worst) puns.

Although I enjoy both chocolate and pecan pie, to combine them is blasphemy ...

And as far as I am concerned, it is National Bacon Day

It's also National Lemonade Day and National Radio Day.

A shame the RMB doesn't embed images, because we need a Parks and Recreation gif right here.

Since TWP is a world-wide region, Today In The West gives priority to International days as opposed to US-specific days.
