Aside from there being a free glass there, I have one other opinion. If the glass is at 50% capacity, the volume of the drink poured was twice as small as it should be.

You know Math doesn't care if a glass is half full or half empty, just about how much of the glass has liquid in it. This 250ml glass contains 125ml of water with the remaining space occupied by air. 1/2 of the glass holds water. :P
