(They can create polls, but the polls have to last three days or more. Each day that passes allows them to create polls that are shorter in time based on how long they've been research officers. To a minimum once three-four days have passed since their inauguration.)

Perhaps similarly to how the Volkihar look very batlike, the Breton vampire clan I am envisioning might be naturally fairer with more merish features from their blood. Non-Bretons who become part of this clan would grow more elflike ears and their faces would slightly change to reflect their bloodline.
