An Act to revise and update statute law for modern day revision
Section I - The passage of this bill constitutes the repeal of L.R.015 Thaecian Bar Association Act (2019).
Section II - The passage of this bill constitutes the striking of all mentions of the Minister of Legal Affairs (or similar) in all statute law bar the Constitution, L.R. 038, L.R 048, and sections that mention said Minister if appropriate for the maintenance of logical legislation.
Amends LR 048 as follows in sections appropriate,
Chief/Associate Justice
The Minister of Defence and the Minister in charge of Legal Affairs shall be exempt from the restriction of not being able to hold multiple ministerial offices at once; the latter may hold the position of Chamber Leader. Ministers may hold lesser ministerial roles in other ministries.
Some common sense changes for a modern era. 2/3 very inactive Justices. And it basically forces 2 people out of our political system for basically no benefit. It's not even like Justices don't express political opinions anyway.
Also it means our top legal experts, and let's be honest like myself, I wrote 80% of this region's law, can't be Justice due to the restrictions. Personally I don't have an interest in being Justice, I didn't just write this to advance my interests, but I do genuinely think that since our best members are doing other jobs we need to free up the Justice restrictions so that we can get more people active in the region rather than being locked away.
We complain a lot about activity. Then we send away our best members to the judiciary to do nothing in. What lol
Also the bar is pointless. It's almost entirely unused. It's just decoration and takes up time and effort for nothing. Let's just push it to the side; we can do it without a law that restricts us like crazy anyway.
I agree that if current Justices were in the Senate right now debate would be more lively and we wouldn't have a situation where like 2 people participate in debates, usually even close to nobody participating including me. And yeah the bar is too big for our activity levels right now unfortunately
I think we can still have a bar but it should be a combined project between DAM/LAM and Culture, not as a long winded legal thing. It should be a fun thing for the sake of it
Not really any debate after all then.. Now voting on the bill.

As Amended By: Democratized Peoples
Section I - Amend Article I Section I of L.R. 064 to read as follows:
Section I - Any MP or Senator is allowed to hire one intern.
Section II - Article II of L.R. 064 is repealed and subsequent articles shall be renumbered accordingly.
Section III - Amend Article III of L.R. 064 to read as follows:
Section I - The Chamber Leader will maintain a factbook listing the current interns, with information provided by MPs or Senators as they gain or lose interns. This dispatch will be made readily avaliableavailable on the Chamber's site page.
Section II - Each intern is required tomay maintain a factbook listing how they would have voted for certain bills if they were Members of Congress, and can provide arguments in the factbook as to why if they so choose, these factbooks shall be posted on the factbook referenced in Section I of this Article.
Section IIa - Interns will be allowed to post this factbook once on the Chamber's RMB. They must not engage in active bill debate on the RMB and can only post their thoughts on the text of the current bill in question in their factbook.
First I must state that this should not turn into a debate on whether or not we should retain this bill or if it is useful at all. This debate should be focused purely on the merit of the amendments to the existing legislation.
Do not oppose this legislation because you think the law is useless; judge this bill based on its own merits on improving the current law. If you wish to repeal the act, write your own bill on that, but keep this debate and vote purely on improving the current legislation. That being said, this bill pretty objectively makes the current law better and resolves some of the silly mistakes in the original text; full support from me.
