No problem, take your time!

Good morning everyone,
I hope you are all doing well.
An hour ago, my pharmacy comrades and me were choosing our hospitals where we will be doing our training period for the next 11 months.
And I'm happy to say I got what I wanted. Epinal, Vosges! Oorrah! :)

Sweet!!! Glad to hear that mate. Congratulations!!!

All these talks of anniversaries, I still need to hammer out my Pentennial...granted, my last few RPs that I OP'd sort of fizzled down...

Well don't let that put you down my friend, just some rough terrain in an all clean road. I mean I would gladly join in such RP when it happens

I can only agree with Mervay - being an OP is not easy, but don't let failure pull you down! I'd be onboard.

At least you have RPs that you were the OP of.

Tell Ea-nа̄ṣir: Nanni sends the following message:

When you came, you said to me as follows : "I will give Gimil-Sin (when he comes) fine quality copper ingots." You left then but you did not do what you promised me. You put ingots which were not good before my messenger (Ṣīt-Sin) and said "If you want to take them, take them, if you do not want to take them, go away!"

What do you take me for, that you treat somebody like me with such contempt? I have sent as messengers gentlemen like ourselves to collect the bag with my money (deposited with you) but you have treated me with contempt by sending them back to me empty-handed several times, and that through enemy territory. Is there anyone among the merchants who trade with Telmun who has treated me in this way? You alone treat my messenger with contempt! On account of that one (trifling) mina of silver which I owe(?) you, you feel free to speak in such a way, while I have given to the palace on your behalf 1,080 pounds of copper, and Šumi-abum has likewise given 1,080 pounds of copper, apart from what we both have had written on a sealed tablet to be kept in the temple of Šamaš.

How have you treated me for that copper? You have withheld my money bag from me in enemy territory; it is now up to you to restore (my money) to me in full.

Take cognizance that (from now on) I will not accept here any copper from you that is not of fine quality. I shall (from now on) select and take the ingots individually in my own yard, and I shall exercise against you my right of rejection because you have treated me with contempt.

If I were to wager a guess, that is from the Bronze Age, right?

Think so. From some Mesopotamian city-state.

Eric H. Cline, 1177 B.C.: The Year Civilization Collapsed. Worth a read, if you are interested into Globalization, the Bronze Age and how that ended. ; )
Besides, there are some nice quotes of similar letters and complaints in there. Sadly, I have the German translation (WBG Theiss), so I can't give some of them, but it's a good book in general.

Aight, will see if I can get it.

It's a different concept and idea, just coinciding with the fact, that both festivals are held at the autumn equinox.
I'll take it as a compliment, that you immediately thought of me, though. ; )

Okay, people, this is the second time we received an Embassy Request by the region of Teremara. I forgot the first one and it expired (my apologies).
So, the question now is... do we accept? They seem to be a fellow RP-Region.

What do you all think?

Well, if we don't have problems with them I would say fine for me.

They're apparently a fellow RP region, indeed, and I've never heard any complaints about them. No objections from my end.

Well. It's fair to say that we're getting close to the first anniversary of the SEA as an organization (IC since OOC the 2nd anniversary was like a 100 days ago), which is around october. I believe we should see how it has changed our nations and how it will change them for better in the future in all aspects isn't that right??

Sounds like a plan! There's certainly a lot to evaluate about this. What Selks and I already figured out during a few conversations on Piffle, is that Lillorainian textiles and, to a certain degree, vehicles aren't exactly a flop in the Free Lands, whereas 'opinion amplifiers' from the Free Lands can quite be found in Lillorainian gunstores, and BI isn't exactly unheard of in Lillorainian retail stores, either. Lillorainen exports beer to the Free Lands, the Free Lands export whiskey to Lillorainen - this has been the case before SEA, but actually became profitable for either thanks to it.
Might be interesting to think of some new trade networks that would have been barely thinkable before SEA and are common today.

Indeed, it seems you two has greatly benefited from it and that it seems your vehicles, textiles and of course the beer is doing great! Here meanwhile, Motor Companies from the SEA had been able to insert themselves to the market which while not taking out the throne of national companies in that regard it still has a considerable share in the market with the motorbikes business having Gabha as an important competitor while your beer seems to have got quite the following around here.

Now exports wise, the Mervayan Economy has seen them rise to unexpected levels with the pharmaceutical, research, technological, communications benefited massively while the rest of sectors of the economy in all sectors (Primary, Secondary and Tertiary) had seen those benefits as well in differents degrees.

It is fair to say that the entire benefits everyone involved are to stay forever on in all SEA Nations.
