Hey Guys,
some news from France: I won't be going at the pharmacy for now, university classes ar bound to continue, but online. And also, since the mortality and contaminiation peak is about to be reached, I'd rather be at home and not outside, exposed to the virus.
Two, I would like to ask your opinion on this: Didier Raoult, the infectiologist in chief at the Marseille Hospital has discovered that apparently, chloroquin and azythromycin are working well against the COVID19, and is currently using them en masse in Marseille to treat his patients. However, the Ministry of Health and others don't see this with a good eye, and would rather wait for the conclusions of a vast clonical test that would take some time before starting to use those two molecules.
So what do you think shall be done? Wait for the results of the test, that could take months to arrive, or start using this treatment now?

Personally, I'd go with Professor Raoult. Off with the restrictions!

Accelerate the spread of the virus to start the collapse of society.

Joke aside PPC, what do you really think?

I would prefer him to follow proper procedure, but it's understandable that he would jump the gun.

I'd go with Professor Raoult as well, and just go for it. Extraordinary situations require extraordinary actions.

I'm mostly with PPC. The procedure is in place for a reason.
While we are at that, Astares, do French Doctors take the Hippocratic Oath?

Who do you take us for Selks? Of course they take the Hippocratic Oath, just like I will take the Galien Oath when I will pass my pharmacy thesis and officially become a pharmacist.
And speaking of Hippocratic Oath, it is exactly for this reason that professor Raoult implemented this method. And I'm all with him.

Thank you for the answer.
So, can the good doctor assure both himself and his patients (not to mention the relevant authorities), that his therapy does more good then harm? That the side-effects are not too grave, or bring people to their graves? And does he have clinical studies to prove that?

Look Selks, you got to break eggs to make an omelet. He can't have clinical studies to back that, since this case didn't happen before.
So the choice is simple: either you take risks, and maybe some people will die, or you wait and many more people die. As simple as that.
And also, I think that for once, we could do away with all the red tape we have in France.
