Well considering you do not have a factbook and -are- a newer nation... Newer nations trying to be all powerful are highly frowned upon.

Not to mention the economic force you would need for at least 50 million is undoable.

Heck even The Empire in Star Wars is estimated to have a military force of around only 2 billion and they span an entire galaxy, just to give a comparison in other fiction.

SPaRTA releases preliminary 2018 South Pacific SPIT sales data

Data Highlights

The South Pacific Regional Trade Agreement (SPaRTA) trading bloc released data today on the year to date sales of SPIT of the 18 current member nations showing that while total SPIT sales in the South Pacific have fallen -6.9%, sales in the trading bloc have grown by 20.4%, growing the overall market share of the SPaRTA trading bloc by 29.2%.

Market Access & Barriers to Trade
SPaRTA strives to support the reduction of domestic and international barriers to trade to support the success of the South Pacific’s SPIT industry in a market free of trade-distorting factors.

As the South Pacific’s SPIT industry expands, the potential for export opportunities continues to grow. Building our export potential and addressing restrictive trade barriers will require concerted and consistent efforts between SPaRTA, governments and international organizations to gain advantageous market access around the world.

Better positioning the South Pacific SPIT industry to compete for market opportunities requires action at home. A fragmented regulatory environment for internal trade and commerce continues to restrict business potential across the South Pacific.

South Pacific SPIT continues to face substantial competition in the market from established SPIT-producing countries and cannot afford to be hindered by restrictive trade practices. 2019 Strategic priorities include:

  • Expanding the trading bloc.

  • Fair access to global markets.

  • Intellectual property and trademark protection.

  • Advocacy and exchange with government, industry and international SPIT organizations on issues including SPIT standards, labelling, health and safety, trade, and supply chains.

  • Counterfeit SPIT detection and the protection of SPIT interests in key markets.

  • Supporting product and marketing innovation.

SPaRTA is a treaty to normalize the production and trade of South Pacific Iced Tea in the South Pacific, open to nations of the South Pacific region. Nations in the SPaRTA trading bloc allow duty free trade in SPIT and ingredients, and adhere to the safety, production and distribution standards set by the Joint SPIT Commission.

Requests for ascension to the treaty should be directed to the Volaworand, Chair of the Regional Committee on SPIT.

Recommendation

OWL recommends voting  FOR  the at-vote resolution, "On the Supremacy of the Potato". The Delegate has been asked to cast their vote accordingly.

Please find below the Office's Analysis for an examination of the resolution and the reasons for the final recommendation.

The Office's Analysis

Acclaiming potatoes as a widely enjoyed, versatile, and important food, the at-vote resolution "On the Supremacy of the Potato" would declare potatoes the WA's official food. Its arguments include further nods to several potato-related events in NationStates history, such as an Issue, their role in the incumbent WA Secretary-General's 2020 election campaign, and the multi-time N-Day "Potato Alliance" faction, among others.
While pie, ice cream, and especially cake 🍰🍰🍰 are objectively superior to the potato in every way possibly imaginable, the Office finds this to be only a minor concern, since an international increase in demand for potatoes after the passage of this resolution would in turn leave more of the aforementioned desserts free to delight South Pacifican taste buds. We specifically acknowledge the potential of the potato to be used in recipes for the same, combining their benefits.
Furthermore, if ignoring the lack of a sentence subject, the proposal is adequately written and incorporates the illustrious history of potatoes in NationStates well. Especially as a fellow member of the N-Day Potato Alliance and treatied ally of the centre of all potato efforts Spiritus, the South Pacific is happy to support the promotion of potatoes.

Thus, OWL recommends a vote FOR the at-vote resolution, "On the Supremacy of the Potato".

That's why Volaworand maintains the Midichlorian Automatic God Mode Defence Conversion Field (MAGMDCF), which monitors the force and converts all harmful items into thoughts and prayers, which manifest as Aurora Australis in the skies over Volaworand. It is only deployed against unrealistic non-modern tech and god-mode roleplay actions. Neat thing is also manages to fold time back so that those actions never even happened.

Also, if you are interested in SPaRTA, see the dispatch and do the thing and the stuff.

Repeal "Whistleblower Protection Act"

Recommendation

OWL recommends voting  FOR  the at-vote resolution, "Repeal 'Whistleblower Protection Act'". The Delegate has been asked to cast their vote accordingly.

Please find below the Office's Analysis for an examination of the resolution and the reasons for the final recommendation.

The Office's Analysis

The at-vote resolution "Repeal 'Whistleblower Protection Act'" seeks to strike GA#539 from the pages of international legislation. While the proposal recognises the need for a WA resolution on the topic of whistleblower protection, it claims that the target's provisions are too intrusive in some and too restrictive in other areas, and that it should be replaced by a more adequate resolution.
The deficiencies pointed out by the proposal are accurate and explained in an easy-to-understand manner; especially the more complicated issue demonstrated in point 3, a legal requirement in order to prosecute whistleblowers/media outlets which is impossible to achieve due to time constellations, is untangled well by the authors. We also find the first point of the proposal particularly serious ‒ where the target resolution likely had high-ranking officials such as ministers in mind, it likewise opens up every lowly local bureaucrat's financial information to be published without possibility of legal retaliation, effectively assuming every civil servant guilty of financial misconduct without any proof needed. We wholeheartedly agree that this is utterly unacceptable.
Point 2, while appearing similarly outrageous at first, seems less serious to us, since "private" crimes can still be normally reported on without necessarily making use of the (still possibly innocent!) accused's personal information ‒ mostly, such information does not contribute much to the case at hand, and instead plays into medieval legal beliefs of public shaming. Nonetheless, this is only a proposal to repeal on these grounds, not to itself make legislation to those ends, and as such we see little harm in supporting what is otherwise a well-argued proposal to strike a flawed resolution from the books.

Thus, OWL recommends to vote FOR the at-vote resolution, "Repeal 'Whistleblower Protection Act'".

Our legal system, if you couldn’t tell, is very results-oriented.

Well, someone’s been going through the TSP HATE manual. Months is a bit clean for our standards, but enough rust should be sufficient to abide by our standards.

What an arbitrary amount of time and yet still no constituency if I reply to one person and then want to reply to a completely different person. Cant hold two conversations in this RMB, ridiculous. It only hurts the community when there are nonsense rules like these that PROHIBIT communication. Double posting should be OK, two should be the limit.
