You poor dear. Only eight wins?

Dreadful!

I beg to disagree.

Haha

I put 1000 drama llamas on Aumeltopia to win by 4 votes at 20 to 1 odds.

well... looks like I'll be bankrupted after this election.

Luckily I've invested my pebbles in an offshore tax haven ...

they're over there, just behind the Delegate Cabaña and the world famous TSP RMB dumpster fire.

Fun fact not only did the recent election break turnout records (213 votes), it also narrowly broke turnout percentage (at least by my estimation) at 26.0%. Granted I only have voter-eligible numbers for the past three elections, but who's counting? (other than me)

2 minutes ago: Hanguk-Nippon altered its national flag.

Ooo nice :-)

Congrats Aumeltopia, you'll be a great delegate of course, I suppose this answers the first question of that interview I sent you, which I need answers for soon by the way >~>
Speaking of which...um...Auphelia? You don't have to do the interview if you don't want to but I would rather know if you plan to or not :p
Anyway, I suppose we're now entering the period of LC elections and us waiting forever for Aumel to get more endorsements than Erinor <~<
...
Time to go photoshop my flag to help I guess~

Yes, yes, soon.

I haven't had much time to do more than send off posts and monitor the RMB, but I'll get to it.

I suspect this transition will be very quick, considering Somy is already endorsing every WA....

well maybe … or we'll be scrounging for WA nations for a full 11 days... Accually this transition could take more, considering the gap between Erinor and Tsunamy was smaller when Erinor won, wasn't it?)

Numerous nations have been butthurt and CTE'd corpses are strewn about the beach.

TSP Delegate Tsunamy is refusing to step down despite the threat of military intervention.

Erinor, who beat him in the January elections, was due to be inaugurated as the new delegate on Monday, but Tsunamy has ignored the deadline. Tsunamy is still desperately clinging to power and is holed up in the Delegate Cabaña. Delegate-elect Erinor has rallied The South Pacific Special Forces to his side and angry mobs of pitchfork and endorsement wielding natives are currently trying to ram down the door and forcibly remove Tsunamy from power. The latest reports are that only 5 endorsements remain barring the door of the cabaña.

Why is Tsunamy refusing to leave office?

Tsunamy initially announced he would not seek re-election and even publicly supported Erinor in the election but later he reversed his position and said he would not step down. He declared a 90-day state of emergency calling for "peace, law and order" after what he said were irregularities in the election process. He said that along with errors made by the electoral commission, some votes mysteriously disappeared.

The commission later accepted that a small number of ballots had been eaten by TSP's abundant free-range drama llama's, but said this would not have affected Erinor's win. Tsunamy has said he will stay in office until new elections are held. Retaining power would also ensure he is not prosecuted in The South Pacific High Court for the criminal rise of "floofing" during his rule.

There have been scattered reports of looting as riots spread throughout the region.

Election Commissioner powerless to enforce a transfer of power.

Election Commissioner Pencil Sharpeners 2 failed to break the deadlock at last-minute talks with Tsunamy.

Pencil Sharpeners 2 flew in to the TSP offsite forums last Friday evening to meet Tsunamy before flying on to The Lampshade Bar and Grill RMB for further discussions with Erinor and Local Councilor The Solar System Scope. "I am now less pessimistic [that Tsunamy] will work on a peaceful solution that is in the best interest for everyone," The Solar System Scope said.

What happens next?

South Pacific Special Forces troops remain stationed at Versailles Isle, despite the deadline for Tsunamy to stand down passing at midnight. The threat of military action is supported by Erinor's defeated opponent Beepee and other states in the region. However, SPSF chief Roavin said his troops would not fight native forces should they enter into the region, according to TSP news reports.

"We are not going to involve ourselves militarily, this is a political dispute," he said. "I am not going to involve my soldiers in a stupid fight. I love my troops."

At least 2,600 South Pacificans, fearful that violence could erupt, flooded Europe's RMB this week seeking refuge. Meanwhile, thousands of Lazerene and Forestian tourists continue to be evacuated from the region on special charter flights. TSP is a popular beach destination among NationStates holidaymakers, especially in winter. Minister of Foreign Affairs Aumeltopia has reportedly been making the rounds reassuring allies that the situation is "under control" and "not a cause for alarm".

Shipments of South Pacific Iced tea, or SPIT, have not yet been affected, but hoarding is becoming an issue as jittery nations prepare for the worst. Volaworand, co-chair of The South Pacific Joint Commission on SPIT, has appealed to all SPaRTA nations to increase production to avert a potential disastrous SPIT shortage.

We will keep you updated on this dangerous situation.

Alright, thanks so much, I didn't want to get on anyone's case about it since the interview is so goshdang long but at the same time I didn't know if ya'll were even planning to respond :p

Personally I suspect it won't be quick at all, last election with Eri he endo-ed everyone real quick too but it took forever to get him up to the appropriate number of endos, we'll see though, I'd love for that awkward long transition period to go faster >~<
