Hi all, can anyone tell me how the delegate for this region decides on their vote for WA resolutions? Is it Toonela's personal preference or is there democratic deliberation somewhere off-site?

the constitution generally requires the delegate to vote in accordance with the regional majority (decided solely through WA votes themselves, rather than through any off-site platform) on WA proposals; however, on occasion, they are permitted to cast their vote in opposition to the regional majority as long as they publish their reasons for doing so.

Ah, that's good. Probably as democratic as can be. Thank you!

I was wondering because they've already voted for the current resolution. But I take it they would change their vote if the regional vote swayed?

Yep! I tend to just vote whenever I am around to do so and then double check on where the regional majority is closer to the end of the voting period and adjust it to bring it in line with the majority then if the majority has changed in the meantime.

Okay, that makes sense. I'm glad to see this is the way things work. Thank you!

If you have a particular interest in a proposal before the WA and want to spark a discussion about it, you are also welcome to!

For instance, why are there so many against votes for something that, while lacking some oomph, seems to generally be a good bill?

Ooo the regional vote on the current SC resolution is very divided! Guess it was going to be that way with a narrative style for a roleplaying region.
