Star Wars is the only Sci-Fi movie that I have actually liked. Some of the Star Trek characters look like my sleep paralysis demons.

George is also somewhat to blame (first the prequels, albeit saved for me by his animation wing and Dave Filoni, and then the actual act of selling Star Wars). I'm just glad that the original cast was in a position where they could force Lucas to rewrite some of the lines. The editing feat in A New Hope alone makes it my favourite movie (all the non-diegetic dialogue that drives/carries the narrative and tension of the movie, for example)- apparently, the first edit was hated by all of Lucas' Hollywood buds, and it was saved (not only saved but elevated to probably the best coming-of-age adventure films of all time) in the edits. Honestly, Marcia deserves more of the praise for Star Wars' success.

I get all the hype for Empire but it's probably only my second favourite, sorry.
