The US is pretty mid, even if it is autocratizing a bit. No Freedoms can really be "unique", can they? Because everyone should adopt the same- or similar ones- eventually. Right now, its really. . .shaky in the US, compared to some of the other developed countries it stands alongside. Hopefully however, its just a rough patch! Sooner or later, the people in charge will be the modern generation, and then the one after that- and then we'll have a whole new slew of issues to ponder over, I'm sure. Its just a cycle of replacing the old with the new.
