Today we celebrate Manumission Day. The North Pacific is proud of our robust democratic culture and expansive freedom for our residents. While sometimes we may grumble that it’s too much freedom, and we let things go that we shouldn’t, we shouldn’t ever forget what the opposite scenario looks like. We lived under tyranny, more than once, but the reign of Pixiedance was one of the darkest periods our region experienced, and took particular effort and dedication to stop. We were successful, and what we learned from that experience helped strengthen us for the next coup, and eventually we were able to put those unstable days behind us. May 26 is a very special day because it reminds us not only of what we could lose, but the thrill of achieving a common goal and freeing ourselves from despotism.
I want to thank every member of the Security Council for their steadfast watch over our region, including GBM, who sadly couldn’t conduct the interview we had planned (get well soon!). And I want to thank our citizens, for continuing to keep our sometimes eye-rolly culture going in the RA and on our staffs; and our residents, who have never known what it means to be silent and hide their true feelings or opinions about life in TNP. Those of you who are unafraid to speak truth to power, or yield a single inch for fear of greater consequences, and another Pixiedance - your vigilance and dedication is why even though unlikely, a coup could never succeed in today’s TNP. We are free and will tolerate nothing less. Keep holding us in government accountable, keep holding yourselves to a higher standard, and keep that revolutionary spirit alive as we keep channeling it in productive ways.
Take a moment to reflect on that same dedication from those who came before you, and allowed this region to be the one you now call home. And then tomorrow, get back to the thick of it - we have plenty more votes and debates and projects to tackle as summer approaches!

We hope that this letter finds you in good health. Only recently has the Imperial Confederacy of Eskosaar and the Imperial Realm established relations that have yet to be ultimately cemented. Our petition to establish an embassy within the most grandest Imperial Realm has only just ratified and marks the establishment of a truly cordial and robust friendship between our two different yet alike nations.
The Imperial Confederacy needs much from markets abroad and has a people who's hunger for essentials and goods is being evermore not met, our nation constricted by the icy landscape that we call home- Too cold to grow anything, the ground to solid to cultivate, the summer season being a laughing stock of "temperate". Eskosaar is in need of agricultural exports, and with the Imperial Realm's massive expanse and agricultural market to match it seems only reasonable to approach our newfound friend to fufill such a need. The Eskosaarian nation is in need of wheat and other grain, with other foodstuffs ready to be considered at your esteemed government's own volition.
We have no doubt that the Imperial Realm can fufill our needs and that the signing of a simple trade-agreement will bring forth a continously deepning relationship.
