I've lowered my two copies of the regional nation's card to just 5 (Market Value): page=deck/card=776150/season=1

Get it while you can!

Hey Zazumo you should have 8 copies of TNL.

Everyone knows 8 copies of a single card brings goodluck

I agree. 8 copies would make me popular.

Platinum people are considered to be stoic, yet romantic people.

East Bay, California. Some of my college teammates were from Long Island, though. One of our linemen from Massapequa had a cute sister who went to Hofstra. Kind of hard to impress a young lady though when her brother keeps calling you Meathead.

And I’ve flown into Republic before.

Alunya wrote:We can, thanks to sensei Shin-hachioji, determine lower and upper bounds for processing speed during the national batch processing period. These are:
  • LB: 66,391/1,586 = 41.86 nations per second

  • UB: 90,904/1,587 = 57.28 nations per second

This means that this secondary national batch processing period could be as short as 44 minutes, 37 seconds using the upper bound of processing speed. Alternatively, it could be as long as 1 hour, 1 minute, and 3 seconds using the lower bound of processing speed.

The rest of this post was accurate, but the nation per seconds numbers seem way off. How did you arrive at these numbers?

The script that processes TNP nations after the end of the NS update (i.e., the script for what you call the "second batch processing") only processes WA nations in TNP. For each WA nation, it makes a call to the NS API, then pauses for 1.8 seconds (this is to make sure the script obeys NS' rate limits). The time it takes for NS to respond to the API call varies, but I'd estimate the total processing time per WA nation to be between 2-2.5 seconds.

For reference, during yesterday's update, the second stage started at 01:10 ET, and ended at 02:01 ET. The update processed 1323 WA nations. This gives an average processing time of about 2.3 seconds per WA nation.

Emilia Violetta von Steiermark-Lipetsk isn't whom you think she is.

I didn't exactly know it at the time, but... I didn't have the best past to my life. I was born in the city of Königberg, however, my then father and mother moved to Steiermark when I was a month old. I only lived for three months on Steiermark due to inherent monetary problems, which made us move to Lipetsk. From these travels, My surname had become "von Steiermark-Lipetsk". It was in Lipetsk that the situation would, at least for a time, cool down. I was capable of being raised for a year and a half or so, until I was 2 years old, in Lipetsk, before my father went into the airforce. It was when he departed that I realized that perhaps my mother wasn't as nice of a person as I thought she might have been. A month or so after dad left, my mother left me in what I would learn was an orphanage. I now had no family to speak of.

I would live a decent amount of my life in that orphanage. In there, I made some friends, and I would learn the two native languages of Ryshun - German and English. At first, they gave me some trouble, but with my stubborn nature, I stomped the problems I had with them. And so, I would slowly be brung up by people I wasn't related to at all. At times, I would just shelter myself away on a far-away window, looking out to the world that was out there, calling for me. Yet, I was but too young. I also realized that I was the only one in the orphanage with silver hair, and not a small amount of people told me that my eyes were a shade of red that reminded them of Herr Kaiserrin herself. At first, I just thought that they were complimenting me... Oh, how wrong I was.

Nonetheless, I was 10 years old when I was adopted into a new family. My new mother and father weren't terrible, that's for sure. They were quite nice to me. Although during the first few weeks I was a bit... awkward around them, and I did miss the friends that I made back in the orphanage, I was happy. I was capable of realizing myself as a person under my new parents. I was capable of going to school and highschool, places that I was quite excited to go to. After 8 years of continuous studies and learning, I was now 18, free of studies, and standing tall - in the sense that I was and still am quite tall - in front of the graduation celebrations. I would end my night early that day, and I would start the next day quite early... but not for the reasons I expected.

I was woken up by my friends, whom told me that there were people waiting for me at the door. I quickly shoo'd them out of my room, and put some actual clothes on, before going to meet this mysterious person. Once I was out my door, I was greeted by a man about my height, whom was impressed by me... in some way. He told me that I needed to take a DNA test immediately. They didn't give me reasons as to why I had to do it, or why it was so important, but considering that this man appeared to work for Herr Kaiserrin, I went along with it. I was treated to a small convoy of vehicles, one of which would take me to where I would give a part of my blood to prove who I was. Thanks to the rather advanced technologies of Ryshun, I had an easy time with things. The hospital I was brung to actually was state-funded, which was a good sign for me - It meant that it had by far the best technologies available. I was put in a queue, and then they took out about... 20ml of my blood. They said it was about 0,36% of the standard amount of blood a human being has, which all in all wasn't that bad. It stung a little, but it wasn't anything I was going to be afraid of. They put my blood in a small machine which began to piece together a family tree of sorts, which I found quite fascinating.

Of course, I wasn't expecting the results.

That day was the day that I learnt that I was a lot more than I thought I was and that I had lived the wrong life all this time. It was made clear to me even though I went into complete denial of it, as I just couldn't believe that I was supposed to be someone that important.

I was actually related to Herr Kaiserrin herself.

Though we were many, many generations apart, I had the blood of one of Herr Kaiserrin's sisters running through me. Royal blood flowed through my veins all this time, and I didn't know a thing. I almost cried, but I had to pull myself together. I tried my best to keep my face straight as I was told that I would be meeting with my rightful family for the first time in two days.

And, two days later, I met them, in person. The real deal. Herr Kaiserrin herself, in the flesh. She was shorter than me, and had the same silver hair that I had, as well as the same crimson red eyes. She was accompanied by a girl about her size that had velvet red hair and matching eyes, and a woman, much larger than her, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

I would come to learn that the velvette was called Audrey Belrose-Takahashi and that the blonde was actually the previous Kaiserrin to herself - Shizuku von Wilhelm-Takahashi.

The day I learnt that was also the day that I became the Princess of the Rynese Empire. I was no longer a part of Ryshun - Ryshun was now a part of me. That was three years ago now. During the time I've lived with Herr Kaiserrin, I saw a lot of things occur, as well as learnt a lot of things. One such thing was the fact that apparently, there's no limit to how many people one can go out with. I honestly did not think that Herr Kaiserrin had enough time in her hands to deal with half the amount of women that surround her at all times. Another thing I learnt was that I was more or less how she envisioned I'd be. Shizuku was related to her after all too - if Shizuku was taller than she was, so would I be. The thing that took her by surprise was that we both shared an interest in motor vehicles and the sort. It was refreshing to talk to someone that not only cared about the topic but also drove and raced motor vehicles for a half-living. I became used to Herr Kaiserrin spoiling me often. I think she approves of who I am. Nonetheless, I found myself a lot more comfortable than I ever was before. To think that this is the life I should have lived all along... It really made me think.

One week into being Princess and I was crowned successor to the throne upon Tiara resigning, when and if she did.

One year into being Princess and I had gotten used to the life, and was actually trying to do my best to impress my would-be mother, Herr Kaiserrin Tiara, whenever I could.

Two years, and I was now laughing alongside them whenever we messed some small, trivial thing up.

Three years... and I was happy.

Of The Rynese Empire,

Greetings,

My name is Sagiri von Hoffmahn, The Empress of Necerierra. Recently we are left alone without any interaction nor any relationship we can go into, but Miss Emilia seems to be a charming and enchanting person. We would like to meet with you, Miss Emilia, we can talk about diplomatic matters between our two states and discuss a more personal matter. If Miss Emilia accept it, we will meet you in short notice. We really hope you read this mail with good intention.

Regards,

Sagiri von Hoffmahn

Operation Rolling Freedom II

July 5th, 1964

The artillery barrage signaled the invasion. After reconnaissance and planning the invasion attempt would begin from the north, the artillery targeting targets of value. The advance was screened by air cover with F-4s and A-4s to try and wrestle air control. Most of the divisions would be moving by APC, the M113 to be exact. It would be a mostly mechanized assault, MBT-70s leading the charge with M60s with the infantry continuing as well.

Sergeant Boeker gripped his M14 as the M113 swayed back and forth over the uneaten terrain. Him and his squad would be on the left flank of the assault, and would deploy soon enough. In the APC were Miller, Tanzarian, Parker, and Morrison. There was a second squad packed in with them for the most transport value and well use. They heard the explosions and blasts from the artillery as the barrage began, along with tanks and others firing their guns at strongpoints and other tanks. After a few horrifying minutes of hearing the occasional shot bounce off the armor and closer and closer explosions, they disembarked into a hail of gunfire. The machine gun on the M113 fired in retaliation before the gunner was hit and slumped over gun with little more than a grunt. Another M113 next to them was hit by an RPG, throwing the lifeless rag dolls of men back from where they had disembarked. Boeker began to fire at anything that he could notice as a possible target as he and his squad went to try and find cover. There was a log that they eventually were able to hide behind that they began to fire from at the enemy positions.

Itallitopian Office of Infrastructure

The Itallitopian Office of Infrastructure would like to cooperate wth the communes being set up in Western Puczovska to connect the Northern Strait Colony to Eastern Puczovska. Itallitopia will use this highway to connect multiple Western Puczovskan cities to the small city in the northern territory which contains a tunnel, connecting the territory to the mainland. This would then go onto the Itallitopian highways which connect all major cities and also head east to Vapia.

The Office of Infrastructure is willing to provide resources and manpower if needed to help with the many Puczovskan sections of the highway.

Part of: ...A Matter of Generations

It was but a loud morning in the Rynese Empire's main recording label, Undercover Records GmbH., where Emilia, Tiara, and Tiara's bandmates from her band - ASPS Project - were playing together. It was an opportunity Tiara had offered to Emilia, whom had recently been hit with the heavy metal that her would-be mother made on the sides, and actually found herself quite enjoying both the making-of process of it, as well as the final product. Having been there for the making of First Impact and Point Blank, and being a pretty easy to influence girl in terms of her musicality. She had recently met Tiara's "second ever crush", a Neko Blade with control over lightning that stood at about the same height as Tiara, whom quite clearly had a lot of experience playing the bass guitar with a pick, which was pretty much almost at all times with Tiara. '...I wish I could, sometime, have a relationship like that...' was a thought that crossed her mind while the band was taking a break for drinks.

She decided that the best thing to do was to check her Twitter account. She decided that, to keep her apparent fans calm, she would take a picture with her guitar - an EST 30x300 6-string tuned to E-Standard - and post it. Once she had the right angle, she took it and posted it with the simple caption "Studio time - About time, wouldn't one think." Shortly after that, and while having a calm, relaxing coffee, an aide of Tiara's directed a letter to her. Though the conversation was overly professional and monotone, she was actually kind of interested in the letter's contents. After all, she had never received one directed to herself of all people.

And, after seeing that it came from Sagiri von Hoffman of Necerierra, she only got more hyped.

Though having once read it...

"...I was not expecting what I thought to become a reality quite this quickly... Tiara must be pulling some stuff or either... Hmmm..." - She said as she began to think. She folded the paper the letter was written on, and took out her phone. She directed herself to the DM section of Twitter, and sent a small video to Sagiri. In the video, she had her guitar in her arms, and asked, with her usual, deep-sounding, somewhat soothing yet still girl-ish tone of voice "Hey, so I got your letter, and I'm thinking... Do you wanna meet up though you're on the next continent over? Like, I don't mind at all."

As the invasion began, The Tyronian felt the weather was on their side as a large rainstorm, which later would turn into an actual storm with huge gusts of wind, set upon the area of the invasion. The Tyronian, in the storm, would launch their own artillery bombardment upon advancing forces as bullets were sprayed from bunkers which had survived the enemy bombardment. The Tyronian Air Force which were ready to fly at a minutes were ordered to wait until the storm moved on before scrambling into the sky. The four Tyronian divisions stationed there, which had been equipped with suitable clothing, began to man their defences and would face any oncoming attack.

Amongst the defenders was thrity-two-year-old sniper, Corporal Augustus Livsbeck. Livsbeck, also known as The Angel of Death, had served twelve years in the police force and joined The SWAT Team. He proved to be one of their best, if not the best snipers of the history of Lanorth's SWAT. Livsbeck, who was armed with his bolt-action-rifle, fitted without a scope, which had been by his side since his sniping days in SWAT and now, his military career. He knew that if the sunlight reflected against the scope, it would give his position away. So, in a ghillie suit and armed with a sniper rifle without a scope, he set up on a smaller mountian overlooking the areas of the enemy. If he felt they were getting too close, he would fall back and relocate. He relocated anyway after every shot he fired. He overlooked the enemy positions with binoculars and noticed some enemies taking cover behind a log. He set his binoculars down by his side and aimed above their heads. He had to take the coriolis effect into account. He was doing so. He took off hie glive and licked his finger. He raised it up ever so slightly and knew the direction of the wind. He carefully placed his glove back on and aimed. He applied pressure to the trigger very carefully. He felt the gun press into his shoulder and heard a loud crack. He crawled backwards to relocate, still focussing on the log.
