Operation Blitz

The operation had been in the works in secret for weeks, with mere fluff aggression to put the enemy on diplomatic alert, knowing that they would hesitate to fight.

On November the 7th, at 11:39am, Vapian built tanks mixed with lighter Venice built tanks made their way through the forested border with Cameot, overwhelming light armed guard posts. 3 tank divisions, consisting of 9,000 troops and 84 tanks, made their way forward to capture an outpost on Bundle Hill. Capturing this outpost would give Venice the short term edge, and possibly forcing the enemy to negotiate in Venice's favor, reasoned the High Command.

The might of the Venice Airforce took to the skies. While smaller in number of aircraft, the advancement of the aircraft was slightly above Cameot. The surprise attack would also allow Venice to destroy nearby airfields stationed craft, or at least delay them.

In the Cameot Embassy

The Cameot Embassy in Venice was not the prettiest building in Venice City. The building was given a light budget from the Venice government, with the reasoning that the government could not afford a higher maintenence budget. Now, the building was the most important to a single diplomat, who entered the building with a Venice government passport. He was there to deliver a single message, one that was straight forward:

Old Venice has declared war against Cameot.

The Cameot Presidential Building.

The President of Cameot was shocked. Intel had told him that an invasion force was not being amassed on the border, spies had told him there was no real plan to invade. And yet, the Venetians were on their doorstep with a metaphorical battering ram. All he could do now is to inform the army with the command to defend and counter attack.

Bundle Hill

The Bundle Hill military base was a small fortified location 4 miles from the border with Old Venice. 6,500 soldiers were stationed there, with a toke air field and small amount of aircraft. 15 light tanks also were stationed there. On that November morning, their communications were swarmed with red alerts. Soldiers were mobilized, placed into their defensive lines as fast as possible, but with no real counter to the air force or the overwhelming advantage in tank numbers, the fight on Bundle Hill would be tough.

Itallitopian Office of Foreign Intelligence

Colonel Sanders sat at his desk sipping his can of Mountain Dew before his adviser walked into his office. He put his Mountain Dew can down to ask his adviser what she had for today. The adviser handed him a document, "Nothing really, just the Venicians declaring war on Cameot." she said as she took a seat in front of the Colonel's desk. Sanders looked through the documents reading up on the intelligence report. "As far as I'm concerned, it's none of our business as long as they don't interrupt our operations in the Itallitopian Bay." the Colonel stated as he put the documents down. "However, as they say, 'Si vis pacem, para bellum', if you want peace, be ready for a fight. Inform Secretary of Defense Anderson, but tell him not to do anything provocative, just anti-air systems to protect our assets in the bay." said the Colonel handing the documents back. The adviser took the documents and nodded, and left the Colonel's room. She walked out into the hallway before approaching what seemed like a central hub connecting the different departments of the OFI. In the center was a large globe of Strangereal, with the motto "The work of a nation, the center of intelligence." being imprinted on the bottom. She handed the documents to the front desk. "Inform Secretary of Defense Anderson about the current situation, and prepare some defenses, but nothing provocative just in case." she told the lady in the front. After that, she began to prepare to get off work in a few minutes.
