Definitely not Hill, that email-deleting capitalist pig!

So only 6 people have voted so far... I think that's a pretty major issue.

Your solutions: region-wide telegram and WFE. People won't even know a vote is happening if they accidentally lost those messages in the RMB.

Should we extend the vote alongside a region-wide telegram?

Atealia wrote:Should we extend the vote alongside a region-wide telegram?

Perhaps. There are only 18 hours left if we leave it at 3 days and, with only 6 votes, that is a problem. Do the region-wide telegram and see how the number of votes is tallying up by the 3-day mark, and then we can make a decision as to whether there are enough votes.

To Secretary Losinia, what vote did you cast on the new NSLeft Solidarity Pact amendment proposed by Caelapes in that link?

I'm assuming that you've already been contacted about this, so I believe you would've already cast a vote on it. I'm fine with you casting a private vote, we did the same thing last term, but I'd just like to know if this has happened yet and, if so, how you voted. Thanks.

I was contacted about the vote and I was instructed to let it through the GA. Only 4 votes have been secured so far, all in favor. I am unable to return a result until I receive the fifth vote.

Fair enough, but when was this vote started? If it has been up for any longer than a couple days, then that is really disappointing to see that a majority can't even be reached.

5 days, I believe.

Well, that's horrible. For the sake of government transparency, do we have a right to know who hasn't voted? I wouldn't believe that that is a violation of confidentiality.

If government ministers aren't doing there job, we have a right to a lot more than that, and really proactive measures should've been taken much sooner than this if the government can't even reach a quorum to function...

But generally last term our government just dealt with foreign policy like that as an executive matter, Secretary, PM and Foreign Affairs Minister made the decision. If you can't get quorum for GA votes, maybe this government should adopt that practice. It's not ideal if you wanted to shift that decision to the GA but you've gotta do what you need to in order to get this stuff passed.

I voted "Yes" to that a while back I believe.

I was under the assumption, as Cedoria had suggested we did in the last term, that you had made an executive decision. You must then be one of the four GA members who has voted on the amendment within 5 days of voting, correct?

Indeed, I voted almost immediately in fact. Your queries are with the other members who did not vote.

Kind of out of nowhere question but as an avid game enthusiast and console collector I was wondering if any of our British friends had a sega master system kicking around their home. I've read that they were significantly more popular than the nes in europe and especially in the UK during the third generation of gaming so I'm curious if anybody has one still.

Alas, I am far too young to have one of those :P

Also, things are not as dire as it seems, we have 16 votes on the form, though only 9 have been confirmed thus far.

Please confirm your votes people!

British accia wrote:Alas, I am far too young to have one of those :P

Aw... I guess I expected this but stil a bit disappointing.

How do we confirm votes?

South Miruva wrote:How do we confirm votes?

Send a message to the founder account saying you voted. This is made clear in the telegram sent out.

I'm from the US, and we flew from LA. The customs people on either side don't hassle you at all just because you're going to Cuba. We spent a total of 12 days, with a couple days in planes, visiting Havana, Santa Clara, Trinidad, Viñales, and Pinar del Río. No joke, but the breadlines were real- you have to wait to be let into a grocery store. But it's a beautiful country with hardly any poverty (which is unique in Latin America) and I love it. You should definitely visit for the experience if you can

Yes, Cubans are always very interested about America and the one English phrase they do know is "Where are youa from?" Most Cubans make an equivalent of $30 USD a week, which puts them in the working class, not in poverty, but not with luxaries. Because of this, many Cubans try to connect you to a person they know- a taxi driver, a restaurant or a place to stay- because this is a lucrative business for them. We felt [my mom and I] very safe in Cuba and weren't approached by anyone trying to rob or scam us, but many salesmen used their elemental English in an attempt to woo us. Overall Cubans are great though

See many other Americans there?

Alright, the voting for the By-Election has ended! I'll hold off on releasing the results for a few hours, to give time for the few people who haven't confirmed their votes yet to do so.
