The constitutional republic of zion

This WA resolution is one of the reasons I’m not part of the WA.
Personhood does not begin at birth. If that were the case, a premature baby would achieve personhood while other fetuses of similar development could still be aborted. Whether it exists out of the womb or inside the womb makes no difference in developmental stages.

Vote FOR Access To Abortion

Resolution at Vote: Access To Abortion
Vote Recommendation: For

Analysis

The first reason I’m in ardent support of this resolution is to illustrate our region’s disapproval towards the undemocratic and degenerate practices of other regions when it came to opposing the prior Access to Abortion resolution. Such regions conducted raids against small and defenseless regions with delegates apporoving of Access to Abortion in order to take the resolution out of quorum. The League of Conservative Nations condemns such operations as we support the sovereignty of all decent nationstates regions. Under current leadership we will never support operations to raid regions for political gain within the WA and encourage others to pick on regions their own size.

The second reason I fully support this resolution is because it literally reduces instances of abortion. Pro-life apologists probably get a nickel every time they say “life begins at conception.” I would go off to say most of those in this region believe that; thus, vote for this resolution because it protects life. Look at the provisions regarding contraception, “Members must pay for or provide directly… contraceptives.” Contraceptives are inherently pro-life because they prevent abortions. In fact, a study by Washington University in Saint Louis confirms that contraceptives reduce abortion rates by 62 to 78 percent. It’s clear to see voting for is actually the pro-life option.

For the above reasons, I urge you to vote FOR Access to Abortion.

I offer a dissenting opinion.
Contraceptives are great. Contraceptives should be accessible to everyone. That alone would limit abortion and ensure the success of millions while being able to maintain an active sex life.
That is not the purpose of this bill.
This bill does two things: declares that personhood begins at birth and places WA abortion clinics in every WA nation.
Let me argue the first point.
We know there are biological criteria for a carbon based life form to be considered “living.” Responding to stimulus, being made of cells, etc. From the moment of conception the fetus possesses these traits. It responds to stimulus, it can feel pain as early as 20 weeks, it needs food, and most importantly, it continues to develop.
Once we establish that the fetus is alive, we move to the next question: does it deserve personhood?
The answer is yes. The fetus is made of human cells. It is merely at a different stage of development than born humans. I say this because if left alone, the fetus will develop into a child at term. We cannot end the fetus for not having intelligence, when it will develop that intelligence startlingly early In the womb, possibly as soon as 20-24 weeks. It will feel pain, it will kick, it will listen.
Even fetuses at the earliest stage of development still meet the traits to be considered alive and they still are made of human cells. Therefore we must arrive at the conclusion that it is a living human. It may not possess intelligence yet, but there is a near surety that it will. Conventional morality states that ending the life of an innocent person is wrong. By looking at scientific data and using logical thinking, we realize that the fetus is a person, from conception.
If the WA resolution passes, it will contradict scientific data and override human rights.
Now let us discuss the clinics. Their inclusion in this bill is largely to ensure abortion access as well as abortion legality. Allegedly, WA members have prevented abortion access in their nations despite its legality. In response, the WA wants to place their own clinics in foreign nations to ensure abortion access. This is not only a violation of human rights, but one of sovereignty as well. The WA gains tremendous power and uses member state funds to do so. They take away the rights of nations to determine abortion accessibility on their own terms. This bill must be defeated, or else nations will allow foreign powers a foothold in their healthcare and economies.
If the WA wants to provide access to contraceptives, it must do so in a separate bill, without the declaration that personhood begins at birth. This will limit abortions and serve a similar purpose, without violating human rights and national sovereignty.

Prats Police Department Building, Prats, Belvoir Commonwealth - Noon, July 1
"Commissioner, the Governor didn't come to work today. He's still not answering his phone...Do you think he's also dead?"

The Commissioner of the Prats Police Department, a relatively short man named Serge Cormier, looked at the officer who had presented this information. "It's possible. Get a warrant from the Court to track his phone down. There's no reason we haven't sent units to his cabin to see if he's there either - Get that taken care of... Tell the Parish Sheriff's Office what's going on while you're at it."

The officer nodded. "Yes, Commissioner." After the conversation, three police cars were ordered to head to the Governor's Cabin while the Deputy Commissioner was to head to the Parish court to request for a warrant to get the phone company to track the device's location for them. As the last police car turned away from the police department and headed out of Prats, Commissioner Cormier shook his head. Prats was always a safe town, even as the capital of Belvoir - It was outrageous to hear that not only the Governor's wife had been killed but the Governor himself was also missing.

Governor’s Cabin, Prats
The first thing the police officers would notice as they came to a halt on the gravel road leading to the Cabin was the parked car. Some of them recognized it as the Governor's vehicle, and upon closer inspection, it doesn't look like it's been tampered with. As the five officers walked up to the cabin, they wouldn't notice anything unusual - The lights were off inside the house and there were no signs of forced entry.

One of the officers knocked on the door. "Prats Police Department, anyone there?" After there was no response and thirty seconds had passed, two of the police officers were directed to try the back door while another officer looked through the window. He would very quickly notice the knocked over furniture and assorted items on the floor - For one, the Governor's bookshelf was knocked over, and the table by his fireplace was flipped over. Following this, the police officers decided to force their entry into the house - It had clearly been robbed, and they needed to figure out what happened as soon as possible if they wanted to find the Governor.

"POLICE DEPARTMENT, OPEN UP!" After waiting for fifteen seconds, the officers kicked open the door and stormed into the house, getting a clearer look at the damage done. "Search the upstairs, try to find the Governor's children!" One of the officers commanded as they split up. After awhile, it was apparent that the house had been robbed - Paintings were missing from the house's walls, and other valuables that the Governor once cherished had disappeared. A quick search would reveal two things - The Governor's children were completely missing, and three bullet casings were present on the floor of the living room. The bullet casings were put in an evidence bag as the officers prepared to leave the cabin. After taping off the front porch and sending in another officer to keep a lookout at the Governor's cabin, the police officers departed - But not before they noticed the several relatively recent vehicle tracks leading to and from the residence.

July 2, Gagium
By now, news of the Governor's disappearance and apparent kidnapping as well as the Belvoir First Lady's murder had spread to all major media platforms and all major news outlets across Gagium. Early on the morning of July 2, investigators of the RIS would arrive at the Governor's cabin as well as the parking lot where his wife was found dead. The government of Belvoir was promising a 10,000 Quebecshirite credit award to anyone who had credible information regarding the Governor's whereabouts, and a rough list of stolen items had been gathered with the help of some of the Governor's friends. So far, however, no pawn shop or store in the Commonwealth of Belvoir had reported that anyone had attempted to sell any of the stolen items.

Jicalapa, Castilliano

The National Intelligence Directorate conducted a raid of a home in Jicalapa, Castilliano, due to it being suspected of housing a large underground cocaine factory belonging to Mara Salvatrucha and possibly being a potential hideout for Jacobo Graciani Juderías, a fugitive wanted for his coordination of the 2013 San Salvador Attacks. When the raid was conducted of the top two floors, nothing was found except a frightened homeowner, as expected. After tearing apart the first floor, a secret door was found in the floor under the couch and the DINA agents entered. They immediately encountered gunfire. After 4 minutes, the firing ceased but one last shot was heard. When the basement was cleared, very little cocaine was found, but at least 3 pounds were present. In the back of the basement, the DINA found Jacobo Graciani Juderías who was bleeding out since he attempted to shoot himself in the heart to evade capture, but he barely missed. The DINA gave him medical attention to "not let him die yet" as they didn't want him to escape justice. In total, 3 members of Mara Salvatrucha and 2 hold out members of the FMLN were killed, Graciani Juderías was arrested in critical condition, the homeowner was arrested, and 3 DINA agents were injured. They left the home and the Creeperian National Police seized the home for investigation. The DINA agents and those arrested were flown to Chalatenango.

The Creeperian government announced that Graciani Juderías had been arrested by the DINA in Jicalapa at 11:10am SST.
