Self-proclaimed General Olivier Tamboa, the leader of the FLA, released a video statement on social media today. The rebel groups ALiR, ARL, NCLOF, LRM, and remaining SDM units posted the statement as well. In the video, Tamboa is declaring the establishment of a new rebel force, a wide coalition of opposition groups across Lyoa, declaring itself to be the "Lyoan Revolutionary Command Council". Tamboa claims that the group will "finally liberate Lyoa from an oppressive, undemocratic regime". Already, LRCC forces in northern Lyoa have occupied several villages and have begun shelling government forces.

The newly-formed Rally for Lyoan Democracy has begun to attack government positions in Altaia and Isiru provinces, occupying multiple localities as well. The FRENAMI-EDPL group declared it would support government forces against this "illegal, drug-fueled insurgency". The Holy Resistance Movement also declared that it would support government forces against the rebels to "defend the integrity of Lyoa and prevent the destruction of the way of the Lord our God".

The government has yet to officially respond to the crisis, but analysts and news sources are beginning to use the term "Second Lyoan Civil War"....

The protestors claim that they stand with Malgax and demand the immediate liquidation of the so-called "reeducation camps" which the protestors claim are extermination camps. Finally, the protestors criticize the authoritarian nature of the Constitution of Aurebeshia.
