 Fighting the Disease

Welcome Leader- Your arrival here is auspicious.

While we have a simplified guide available to the general public which you've probably already read, we're still in significant danger. At the beginning of the pandemic, we estimate around 5% of the regional population will immediately begin showing symptoms of the disease. The progression of the pandemic will be dictated by both what actions we take, as well as the regional Z-Rating, which roughly translates to the rate of disease spread each 30 minutes. A chart showing the various levels is available on the right. We'll be aiming to bring that down as quickly as possible.

Selecting the cure research option mobilizes the process of researching the cure in your own nation, and can, by itself, influence the progress the region makes in terms of treating patients- If you have not activated the national cure program please do so now! We'll not be entirely relying on passive actions of course, but every bit of public engagement helps! It will take a few hours for your active curative abilities to come online, so feel free to sit back and relax, and consider chatting with others on the regional message board.

If you know that you cannot be an active participant during the pandemic- be it due to real life obligations or just having good old fashioned Halloween fun- Know that you can still make a difference just through setting your nation to cure. You will have done more than up to 80% of the region if you can do so!

Remember, Z-Day is ultimately a collaborative event, success is the result of collective effort

If you notice nations actively causing the spread of disease, in opposition to regional policy, please immediately report it to the relevant authorities, and hit them with cure missiles to disorganize their misguided efforts. The Z-Day taskforce will then take action to eliminate the hazard. Nations that are not participating in the region's defense through the Concord Rangers or The League's Guardsmen programs that are causing a disruption may be liable for instant ejection for the duration of the pandemic.*

Registered puppet sets will likely be present to provide active cure coverage, and some can be brought in to infect and then eliminate the entire population of a nation that is operating in deliberate opposition to disease control efforts. If this is conducted within the bounds of a single 30 minute tick, it will have no appreciable effect on the region as a whole.
