Tuxtla Martínez, Zapatista
Minister of Law Enforcement Jonatán Muñoz Juderías announced that the current Chief of Police of Tuxtla Martínez, Major Óscar Leyzaola Guzmán, would be promoted to the position of Chief of Police of Zapatista and promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel following the retirement of the former Chief of Police, Lieutenant Colonel Julián Consuelo Ramos, who has served since 8 July 2010.
Previously, Leyzaola Guzmán served as Chief of Police of Tuxtla Martínez from 15 January 2014, and before then, Chief of Police of Panachor from 18 October 2007. Muñoz Juderías swore in Leyzaola Guzmán today at noon and many hoped that during his term, he would be able to crack down on crime which has plagued the city since the beginning of the Mara War in 1979. Some, however, were skeptical, due to accusations of gang collusion during his terms as Chief of Police of both Tuxtla Martínez and Panachor, and just general distrust in Creeperian government officials in the so-called "Zapatista Triangle" which have frequently been exposed and arrested for corruption, drug trafficking, and collusion with the many gangs of Creeperopolis.
