World Factbook Entry

Welcome to The Great Chili!
TGC was original founded in November 2012 by friends Senoheir and Wabacha.
Ultimately it fell extinct in May 2013 due to disagreements between the two on where the region should go
Eventually it was refounded in July 2014 by Synnadine, another friend of the two aforementioned nations and a member of the original TGC.
For better information on our region please refer to the pinned dispatches below, especially if you intend to roleplay at any point.
All WA nations are required to endorse the elected delegate, Wabacha

The Great Chili Regional Message Board

While I haven't had much time to post recently, that hasn't stopped me from thinking of new cards. Sure has stopped me from actually making them but I can at least jot the ideas down.

Darkspace card- (storm- for each spell you have played before this one, create a copy of it), Attach target noncreature artifact on the battlefield to a Darkspace Raider you control.

A new keyword, "Primal", for creatures that, while for the most part invincible, can only be defeated through combat. This creature cannot be destroyed, exiled, or killed through damage except by combat. This would be for Primal creatures and characters such as Viviana, Enkara, Casey Stranders (!!!), and holders of one of the three Legendary Bloodlines. Speaking of.

The Legend of Rage/Revenge/Sorrow- Legendary enchantments that, once the creature they're attached to dies, must be attached to a creature sharing one of their types. If you don't have another but your opponent does, it goes to his creature. If it can't attach to anyone, it is exiled. The actual effects of each are yet to be decided on, besides giving the attached creature the "Primal" keyword.

Enkara- Oh no he gets a card. Enkara is also Primal, and will be strong, but nowhere near as dangerous as compared to when he dies. When this creature is killed through combat damage, return it to the battlefield transformed.

Gilganax, The Red King- Legendary Enchantment. That's right, Gilganax is here. He is the endgame scenario who can only be slowed down before he ends the game. Hexproof, Indestructible. Gilganax, The Red King cannot be removed from the battlefield by any means.

During your upkeep, your opponents must sacrifice creatures with total toughness equal to or higher than 20, starting with the highest. Otherwise you win the game. The strong sacrifice themselves to buy as much time as possible to slow down the Red King's advance, his single attack being enough to wipe out the game completely. But as he cannot attack or block himself anymore, there is still a chance for his enemies to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Wabacha

I have an idea for a new post I want to make but thought I should check in with you first. Can the pact holder of an Old spirit get a way to commune with their Old spirit? Even if it's just chatting away with some aspect of them in a constructed domain?

I want to do some stuff with Wilhelm and have this help how he's going to shape up as a character going forward

1000000%, the manner of which would basically depends on the Old Spirit. They could just be a disembodied voice speaking exclusively into their mind, they could manifest as a visible (but FAR from physical) presence so they could be seen and heard. Maybe by all, maybe just by those they want to see them. Could be a mental scape similar to what Death, also an Old Spirit, did with Sam. Just...depends om the Old Spirit, what they CAN do, and what they WANT to do.

The important thing to remember is, as an Old Spirit. Their very existence is the embodiment of what they are an "old spirit" of, so as such they only care about what they represent. To say they wouldn't care about anything that has nothing to do with their existence is an understatement. Take Death as an example again: He cares about "deaths plan" being followed but he REALLY cares about the freedom life provides. That nothing, not even death itself, is truly set in stone. He is amused by the choices others make, he even made is reapers to have free will just so they could make choices on their own rather than being thrown on boring rails. He is amused by the things mortals can make happen despite being such an inferior species in the eyes of basically everything. Why? Because thats what they are doing with their lives, their freedom. And he has just as much to do with life as he does death. Death loves and respects life perhaps more than anything else in existence, and it is because of that respect for life that he also respects when life ends.

Wilhelm returns Scotti's half and half question with a answer mired in dreaded personal experience, his tone hanging heavy with a unfamiliar bitterness that was very much unlike the upbeat Immortal. There was a reason he lead that legion of orcs into the Knight of Hells own corner of Perdition after all. Revenge was more than an ample motivator. It was there that he slew the Knight with Old power unfamiliar to his body at the time. Though quickly enough Wilhelm was broken from his recollection of his descent into hell, the sounds of the siren and the scream of bloody murder from the screen overwhelmed the entire room.

All eyes were drawn to the spray of blood that came from the chest of the Wabachan King. The man who easily pushed back a titan god was now suddenly on the backfoot of a mysterious assailant. All notions of going to help, in favour or against, halted with the fact that there was an uneasy feeling that this was far beyond any of their abilities to distract, never mind stop.

Oh that works, though I'm definitely going to put lots of ceremony in when I do write it tomorrow

On a semi unrelated note, I'm doing a Wilhelm run of Skyrim. 100% ice magic only, summons are allowed but it has to be Ice related. So Ice Atronach and Mistman since it uses ice spikes. He's not allowed to use healing magic but can enchant healing buffs.

He can use alteration too but only the flesh spells

He can use shouts but only the ice related ones. I can only use other shouts if the plot demands it.

The lore reason he can shout? He can't. He's just screaming and using Ice magic

Followers will be essential this run. Lots of things are immune to ice damage. Dwemer for one, and they have some of the best loot sooo I'm grabbing Jzargo and pray to what pantheon will listen

Might I suggest Jízargo, as you said, due to his uncapped level. I would also suggest giving him a high level staff once able, because while those things SUCK for player they are still really good for NPC's and will probably do more damage than his spells (he only uses low level ones).

If you use a mod that lets you use more than one follower, if I may suggest two others: Lydia and Serana. Lydia is arguably the most powerful melee follower in the game due to her higher skills and highest base health cap, and you'll certainly want SOMEONE who can pump those melee numbers out. Give her good gear and she can try to take some of that melee aggro to knock out enemies herself well enough. Serana because she is a powerful mage and competent melee too, PLUS she can use necromancy to net you even further help in a fight. Where there's Dwemer there's normally Falmer, and Falmer can be raised for additional help. One shot help? Maybe. But that's one shot that didn't hit you or your ACTUAL followers.

Not to mention that you get both of them pretty quick in their respective questlines.

As long as you don't forget that his patron is trying to twist his mind at every opportunity to kill and devour everyone around him every time they aren't directly paying attention to him. It's not a good spirit, or even guaranteed to be on "his side". Both Wilhelm and the Old Spirit would have made their contract for different reasons, this allows an Old Spirit that lost its domain here in the Material Plane to kill and hunt again. It doesn't necessarily care about helping anyone for the good of all. In fact, doing things that reduce the chances for it to kill would go against its interests and gain its opposition. For Wilhelm it will be easier to converse with his Old Spirit because it's a more localized one. Those lower on the scale are easier to communicate with, or are even able to speak at all. Old Man Death is basically a mouthpiece and not Death itself, Death appears to people in different forms, as has been recorded through all of history, media, and cinema. Death has always been unique in that regard, as the concept of death itself goes far beyond anything we can truly comprehend, yet we always imagine/wish there was a way to talk with it, as if it was a human being that could be bargained with. On the other side of the spectrum, Kirk's patron is nearly as broad in scope, and cannot be reasoned with at all. The human mind cannot comprehend why it does what it does, or its reasons to do so or its goals beyond, and no human could converse with an existence like that so far beyond their own.

To actually commune with the Old Spirit, it may vary. Friendlier spirits may be open to their servants at any time, while others may have rituals necessary to open dialogue. For example, Wilhelm may have to offer his Patron a fresh kill by his own hands to summon it to the Material World, since even though its bound to his body right now it still isn't in our world. Spirits are wack.

Also I was reading back Wilhelm's bio about his immortality being bound to service to his Patron, and I realized a Terraka is his worst opponent due to their own connection to the Spirit World. His immortality would amount to pretty much nothing.

Indeed, old man Death that Sam met is basically just a "I read his mind, this form will be acceptable to communicate directly."

I forgot that his patron is the bad though. Pretty much all goes with what I said on "what are they an Old Spirit of?" but more elaborated on the bad side of things, since I made my post at work.

Important note: There are chill spirits, neutral spirits, not so good spirits, evil spirits, aaaaaaaaaand Cidon.

\\The Winter Beast's Bargain//

As Wilhelm looked on in horror at the sight of the Wabachan King's chest suddenly burst open with blood there was a slow and creeping sensation up his spine with his vision beginning to blur and everything seeming to slow down around him. His blurry vision was all brought into focus as a lone snowflake fluttered into his peripheral vision. It was as if the whole world was focussed on the lone flake before Wilhelm's eye paned to it. With that glance the entire room disappeared around him in a sudden blizzard, swirling violently all around him with an ear splitting howl... A voice growled amongst the screaming blizzard that echoed inside the head of the Immortal.

W i l h e l m . . .

The look of horror calmed but it was not a relieved sort of calm, he was tense and guarded. Wilhelm knew this voice, he knew the sound of fangs grinding impatiently against each other all too well even beneath this storm. "Loono." He flatly replied into the howling winds as it all comes to a sudden end around him. Wilhelm's eyes panned around, the landscape he now found himself in was the exact same as the domain he had created for himself during his time training. The Domain that his Patron had so graciously given him the template for in return for the lives of the prey all the prey that Chaos set against Wilhelm.

He was in a clearing, a clear night sky above him with no clouds in sight... A blood moon hangs overhead, colouring the snow around him in a scarlet hue. Tall pine trees stretch up towards the sky all around him, blanketed with snow. An eerie silence wills this place, no wind... Now sounds of small critters... Dead silence. Above the tall trees, below the blood moon, was a lone mountain. The one one that could be seen in any direction even if you got above the trees... The very peak of the mountain was just beneath the blood moon.

Wilhelm peered around, guarding his mind for surprise mental attacks and suggestions... Loono may not like it, wanting nothing more than to run rampant thanks to the lack of getting fresh prey in this place. But he knew that his life would either be ended or he would be captured to be studied by the Wabachan's if he let Loono go berserk.

My rebellious servant...

A growled tone echoes through the pine forest all around him, the subtle creaking of branches and the whistling wind starting to pick up all around. Obscuring the encroaching presence of a hunter with no home, a vile and greedy beast with no territory to hunt in anymore.

How much longer must I be forced to watch prey being torn asunder...?

Strength did not matter to one who could hide itself from existence. No creature capable of finding it even when it lays in wait right under their nose... As shown as his surprise appearance in Wabacha. Even the likes of Samuel Mason could not sense him even when he had enveloped him in his aura... Only a true predator could possible hunt it. But as this hunter has seen... There are very few in this land that hold such a title. Even men of strength and paracausal power like the King of Wabacha were seen as prey to this beast whose true home is now forsaken to time, long lost and destroyed by events set to repeat.

Wilhelm's icy blue eyes contrasted with the crimson glare of the moon, glaring into the forest while over his shoulder and deep into the woods the eyes he was trying to meet alluded him. For the past 500 years he has done all he can to try and curb his patron's ravenous appetite but at beast he could only slowly feed it to keep it from simply holding him hostage with the pact of immortality. It was an uneasy allegiance, a pact of convenience. Loono needed a servant to continue surviving, and Wilhelm needed to live. As the years have gone by and he his allowed his patron to feast on the prey he has cornered he has gotten access to boons that hold him above the mundane superpowers of the sector. "I'm not forcing you to watch anything, you can slumber if you so wished-"

A sudden snap a gnashing fangs, the scratching of claws tearing into bark had turning to only catch a glimpse of torn bark and tumbling trees deep in the woods behind him for all too fall into the eerie atmosphere of whistling winds and creaking trees once more. His answer was not appreciated.

I have slumbered for too long! Four centuries I have slumbered as you played the fool in front of the corrupted prey! For centuries... You have squandered my gifts to live a boring existence. So soft... So agreeable...

The sound of freshly fallen snow being crunched underfoot drew Wilhelm to twist around to now stare into the beady red eyes of the monster he had forged this pact with all those years ago, the beast shoving aside whole trees that buckled and shattered in the wake of its unnatural strength. The monster that was his salvation when a demon used his family as nothing more than fuel to start her own hunt. Staring into the eyes of the dethroned hunter he kept his nerve as the scent of rotting viscera and the atmosphere of bloodlust was palpable... The pair had nothing but a strained mutual respect and a need for each other that kept the pair of them alive. It was Loono afterall that allows Wilhelm to shift into a form mirroring his own during his [Frostfall].

If you would allow yourself to be more selfish, to think for yourself instead of slavishly depending on the opinions of prey foolish enough to look down upon you... You would be stronger than them all by now! You could steal the very strength from under them and feast upon them!

Loono stood a clear 4ft taller than Wilhelm, despite his gangly appearance he was strong and fast enough to run Wilhelm through with his claws if the real desire struck him, though their pact stayed the hand of the best, while Wilhelm was certainly insubordinate... He was his best hunter. The ornate branches of bramble and thorns that rustles and shift behind him flex and shiver in constant motion as they move around him, Loono's connection to nature was strong silence he served to portray the sheer violence and cruelty of natures wrath and unsung greed.

Wilhelm raised a curious eyebrow to that closing line. 'Steal the strength from under them'? This is the first time he's heard Loono mention stealing anything... He disliked stealing prey from another, even in the case of survival of the fittest. Even for a murderous beast he still had some twisted cod of honour, to never kill prey that you never earned the right to kill. "Are you telling me that I can steal the strength of others on top of disappearing from the perceptions of all 'prey'...?"

A glint of fascination shined in the eyes of the dethroned hunter, a slight curl crept on the rotten lips as jagged fangs slightly part in a welling pride. The spirit of the Winter Beast spread his arms wide, as if to gesture his ability and ease of cleaving the whole forest with splayed out claws if he so wished. Indeed, drinking of the strength and magic of prey is nothing difficult. Certainly easily than obscuring ones self from the lambs that you surround yourself with. Though... Your fragile form is limited to what strength and energy it can consume. But with it... Prey stand no chance.

Wilhelm's stern and unflinching gaze faltered in the face of this interesting turn of opportunities. His eyes drifted to the side as his mind wanders with such an idea. Totally unseen in the eyes of anyone unless he wants to many himself known, and able to steal the strength of any foe in his path. The idea... Was tempting. As things looked to be shaping up outside... This war with the Forgotten was about to take a turn with the two big hitters out for the count. "With the Wabacha looking like he's not going to be in this war... And Salem now recovering in his personal Realm... Both sides will loose their hard counter to the other side. Everyone will be preoccupied taking out the last of Salem's heavy hitters... Someone will need to hunt down the foot soldiers and low tier forgotten he has littering the country."

Wilhelm's gaze shifted back up, meeting Loono eye to eye after laying down the foundations of a plan they are setting for each other. Wilhelm speaks first, the beginnings of a new bargain was in sight. "Lets say... You give me access to this new power. For that I offer you the lives of 100 low tier forgotten."

A low and amused chuff whistled through the fangs of the hunter. The audacity... Wilhelm was rather arrogant to be making demands... But this was a welcome change to the stubborn and chivalrous defiance that has met him head on time and time again. Meeting Enkara was the arguably the best thing that could have happened to Wilhelm and him... In a twisted, roundabout sort of way. Hmph, 500... But I do not expect it without some rewards. For every hundred I will be able to manifest a new member of my pack, their deaths bringing more power to this fledgling domain... And I will even throw in an additional boon upon the last of the 500 falling. The ability to manifest the Frost bramble, to ensnare prey and bleed them. With the last of his words the dethroned hunter motions with a loose and open hand.

Wilhelm looked down to the clawed mitt and back up to Loono... There wasn't room for pitfalls with his addendum to the bargain. No way he could add something extra. He could lie, but their fragile relationship was dependant on this trust of theirs. The bramble was nice, meant he could get a way to get a breather if his opponent was faster than him... But the Pack member was a double edged blade. If he showed slack that pack member could do as Loono pleased, what's more it would possess lesser versions of his boon. He already had one in his possession, a Wendigo born from the corpse of one of the Demons Chaos sent at him. For the death of 500 forgotten he would expand his domain and abilities considerably... His capabilities would skyrocket.

I should stay wary of this deal... But so far I may as well take it.

Wilhelm reached up and took the hand of his Patron, the pair sealing the deal on this new bargain. With a wolfish grin Loono was pleased with this turning point... With the bargain made the world would start to melt away, right back to the hospital room that he was in not long ago. Truth be told no time had passed at all seeing as all of this happened from within Wilhelm, the sense of time was warped. Everything was as it should be, with everyone looking upon the unsightly condition of the king... Though little did Wilhelm know that a pair of hazel eyes with a yellow hue were staring into his back. The faint crackle of sparks dance behind the head of the patient they had all came here to initially see. A look of worry present on his face.
