The Empire of Common Territories Regional Message Board
Please don't advertise your political union in MY puppet storage/HQ region. The only reason I don't suppress it now is because I want it to be an example for future cases, and I want your region to see this message too obviously. For starters, you should know by looking that this is a puppet storage with 95% of the nations here being my own - anyone left is a random puppet in idle (there's like what, two?). Second, it is clearly marked to not recruit in this region, maybe not so obviously for anything other than regions, but recruiting here is a big fat NO-NO; this may not be recruiting for a region per-say, but I don't much see the difference between your "Union" and a region - I mean that literally in the sense that it's basically one super region basically and you're clearly recruiting for it, it stinks of EU government anyways, and that doesn't fly by me. Thirdly, this is an RP based region technically since I essentially am this region, so you're basically inviting me to join this union of yours - which is pointless in the end, as I'll continue explaining (not to mention im just one person, not a region). I don't partake much in Gameplay events unless the UDL needs an extra hand (I got a WA nation after all, so mite as well put it to use with the friends who ask), so I have no use for this "security" you offer, nor the "laws" and bureaucracy you bring with you (in the image of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, I AM THE REGION.); this region is fully protected against raiders anyways (the WA Rep has 0 power, I am the founder and my main nation is basically the WA Rep equivalent, and I can have a password up anytime I want) and im pretty sure they're not interested in a target they can't even hurt like me.
So no. Regardless if this were IC or Gameplay, I would never join an EU block (which you are essentially) that's purpose built to rob my independence. Im forced to decline your offer and make this reply a stern warning from me to you that if you advertise your not-region/EU organization again without my consent (this is not a flyer board at your local supermarket, you have no right to advertise here and there's a warning against it already), I will revoke the ability for your region to post in this RMB, even if I have to tear down the Embassy to do it.
Okay then, I'll make sure it's closed on my side too. Happy to rid you recruiter scum :)
A password has been implemented for the time being due to security concerns (if you can call them that anyways); although potential threats wouldn't be able to inflict damage, I figured it's better to be safe than sorry. If you need the password for any reason please TG the main account. The password will of course be very confidential. I'll remove the password whenever I feel like it or when I feel like the security situation has been minimized. There's nothing to see here, move along.
Love, your God-Emperor.
So as with the tradition, the region will be focusing on making the cure this Halloween event. This time, however, I will be closing down the borders early to counter the trolls. Anyone I suspect being here to kill or embrace the hordes will be booted until the event is over. There was a troll incident last year, so I want to avoid another one happening this year. Thank you.
NEW DEBATE/POLL FROM THE WORLDLY DEBATE REGION.
This is week one of our three-part debate series on Globalization. There are three kinds of Globalization:
Political Globalization- the heightening of influence nations can have over the domestic policies of other nations, like the UN or NAFTA or NATO.
Social Globalization- the spreading of ideas, through literature and music and culture to other countries.
Economic Globalization- the spreading of goods, services, labor, and capital to other countries.
The line between them can be gray, but we're asking everyone to stay on the topic of specifically POLITICAL Globalization this week, so if you have any questions about distinctions, just let us know in the RMB and we'll answer them! :)
Don't forget to vote! And don't forget to bicker! ;)
Sorry for double posting! :)
This is week two of our three-part debate series on Globalization. this week we're debating Social Globalization. Social Globalization is the spreading of ideas, through literature, music, culture, etc to other countries.
Some view it positively, looking at the ever expanding array of books, music, and art as a good thing. Others view it negatively, viewing it a loss to one's national culture.
What do you think? Come to the Worldly Debate Region to vote and post to your heart's content. Good luck!
This is the last week of our three-part debate series on Globalization. This week we're debating Economic Globalization. Economic Globalization is the spreading of goods/services, labour, and capital to other countries.
Some view it positively, seeing it as a war deterent. a way to lower prices, among other things. Others view it negatively, seeing it as becoming economically dependent on other countries, a detriment to the health of workers, among other things.
What do you think? Come to the Worldly Debate Region to vote and post to your heart's content. Good luckworldly debate region
