That's effectively my argument, except multiple bones and they belong to my grandpa

A great deal of the true democracies have recently come out of civil bloodshed, so they wouldn't be so inclined as to be agitated by such events. The germanic nations are basically off limits due to the same reason. For all intents and purposes, your country is both the most susceptible to such incursions and also the best candidate that I can think of to have another world-war over.

And you still chose violence over peace?

Yep. He had a very bad fall and required bunches of emergency treatment in order to survive. The list was getting long enough, though.

Brethren wrote:Oh good, I'm glad to hear that. But I'll posit that your family probably does not have the extensive list of life-threatening health complications that mine is plagued by.

For example.

There was a complication regarding my twin brother's umbilical cord, resulting in the situation that our mother had to have an emergency C-section lest that baby die. A C-section costs a minimum of CA$18,279.88 under the US healthcare system.

There was then a complication regarding my twin brother having spent the whole pregnancy sitting directly on my soft and bendy baby legs. The laundry list of treatments that I needed just to be able to walk is so extensive, and goes back so far in my life, that I can't give you a price estimate because there's just too much.

So we survive that, right? Maybe somehow we manage to get through it without selling the house. Well surprise b#tch, it's time for my brother to have a life-threatening hernia at less than one year old.

So we survive that, probably sell the family home and move in with my grandparents. Now it's pneumonia time, and then it's over a decade of asthma time, and neither of those medications are cheap in the slightest.

So we survive that. Rehome my grandma's rescue dogs because we can't afford to keep them and ourselves. Then my grandpa has acute appendicitis and spends months in recovery. F#ck, what are we gonna do now? We've got nothing left to sell or give up. At this point I am at most eight years old, and we are far from done with the list of afflictions. We'll be on the street by the time I'm ten.

So, opinion: it is good, actually, that my parents were not repeatedly forced to make the choice between someone's life and the whole family (-1)'s future.
The breth is doing an argue
For non-essential healthcare, yes, because we have a system where those who are most badly and urgently in need of help get to go first.

Now, you may feel free to say there's clearly something genetically wrong with my family and that maybe we should die instead of burdening society -- that's the usual comeback at this point -- but I'd encourage you to think about whether you really want to advocate eugenics.

(healthcare is really boring, why can't we argue about the minimum wage or something)

I am a libertarian. I am not callous. I don't think "you should just die". Also, while I sympathize with your family's health problems(for lack of a better word) that is one example. The US may have issues in the system however, I just think that the government should not have a single payer universal system Also also, due to the wait times, Canucks have actually left the country to get healthcare from somewhere else, don't you think that THAT is a problem? The US has about 10x as many people as Canada does.

The Cannabis Act -

As the government is firmly in the Liberal Party's hands, they have enacted bills that have greatly improved the civil freedoms of the people. Practices considered taboo have been tolerated under the liberal government. Although, one practice was yet to be tolerated, the so-called "Green Question." Since 1998, medical marijuana was legalised and now people are wondering whether the government will decriminalise it for personal use. The Green Party, the Liberal Party's firm ally, have always argued about the usage of cannabis is safe if used in small amounts, much to the disdain of the right-wing parties. As the Liberal Party was in its zenith, they have decided to decriminalise it for personal use. During the passing of the bill, politicians from the Conservative Party were livid and exchanged words of vitriol with the liberals.

It was decided that cannabis could be used in small quantities, five grams to be specific. However, the staunch police officers would still confiscate it, despite it being legal. The legalisation of cannabis and heavy regulations had cities participating in projects that helped approved growers and testers for cannabis.
