Although it has not even been twenty-four hours, the Partido dos Trabalhadores Estandér (Estandér Workers' Party) is gaining notoriety and support, mostly because of their liberal concepts and policies. More people took to the streets and protested about socialist ideas, such as free healthcare and schooling. Especially in the progressive region of Tósares, there have been riots between ultra-conservative counter-protestors and the socialist protestors; being a liberal region, the number of socialist supporters greatly outnumber the right-wing. This was concerning to the government since if Tósares falls into commie hands, they would have a real problem.

In the city of Balás, the regional capital of Tósares, the police department sent riot officers to quell supposedly "violent" protests. These officers beat the protesters with iron batons, and not the usual plastic or rubber ones. Blood was spilt in the streets and on the pavements, and hospitals were gaining more and more injured every hour. The protestors spoke of the capitalist corruption and that capitalism brought them here, here to beat their own countrymen. The violence of law enforcement was noticed by the president, and when he did, he apologised to the injured protestors but never punished the perpetrators - the police. Although he did say that any more suppression of freedom of speech will be punished, no police commissioner and conservative listened to him.
