You'll be fine. You'll recover in a few days and bounce back even stronger.

Is that a threat?

If a black hole could hiss, this is what it would sound like.

No, it wasnt even that. It was MUTUAL between them the hatred after they were caught.

But this is slight spoilers for the book, so let's not speak further on that....

I finished it on Friday, and have yet to shake the feelings I got from the ending...

It doesnt help I look at some of the policies I see IRL the US Congress and states push forward, and how scarily they bring us a step towards BB

(Such as in Illinois they all want to track your car to tax your mileage, but to do so you need a device installed into your car. And that would enable them to find out your habits, find your routes you use to bypass tolls and such, and furthermore track your paths you take. I dont like that kind of thing, even before reading 1984...)

Any refugees who, by some miracle, reach Brethren's shores alive are given food, shelter and caring help as they adjust to the new climate. Expedited citizenship is available (and when Brethren expedites citizenship it is VERY fast).

Beheading

The rejuvinated expansion force of Lerasi has decided to make a daring move. As a new supply train came in, the military vehicles involved in the expansion doubles. Grimly determined, General John Malcolm marches his legions to through Armonica, a bulge of supplies following close behind, stopping at and taking what they need from the few towns and farms along the way to the capital of the League. It is said that the leaders of the League and half their army resides there. The damaged wing of aircraft rises with the sun as the legions are illuminated by the great ball of fire. Malcolm looks at the city as the aircraft pass the legions and start bombing fortifications. Half the wing is brought down by anti-air defenses before they are overwhelmed and then the pilots go wild, destroying as much military infrastructure as they can before the legions reach the suburbs of the city. The aircraft retreat, a few being dropped by the defenders. The defending force has been weakened. John Malcolm smiles as his men occupy the first city district, killing a platoon of soldiers. They move in and the defenses get stronger. At one point in the invasion, the legions are at a stalemate, holding their line but not gaining ground. Nearly three thousand Lerasians are wounded, and hundreds killed at this point, and reinforcements have arrived from the other two cities. The whole force of the League is up against the three legions, dug into a city district that no one bothered to name. A stray bunker busting missle drops an empty office building. As the dust clears, 500 soldiers have pushed through, shooting the surprised defenders. John Malcolm is leading the next charge, and the whole invasion force, minus a hundred. They hide in a captured building armed with enough explosives to level the block. Mortars clear the way for Lerasian LRBCs further in the city as the advance force for the reinforcement Armonicans meet a deadly surprise. Snipers drop scouts and smoke grenades are employed as the soldiers shoot their mags empty. The main reinforcement force meets the Lerasian hundred with no mercy. The first platoon is depleted as they start to use their grenades. Mortars, howitzers, anti tank grenades, frag grenades, and mines are deployed. C4 and similar explosives are placed on the buildings' support columns by a small group as the rest of their brothers in arms get steam rolled, the element of surprise rendered null by the overwhelming might of the League. The last Lerasians fall as they detonate every last explosive in the street, levelling the buildings. Chaos. Dust. Blood. And a swift advance from the rest of the expansionary legions, led by a grinning John Malcolm.
