Grango, Welcome to TDR!

Welcome to the RolePlay!

You. Hey you. Congratulations leader on your ascent to power! I always believed in your of course, I just didn't think it could go that fast. Though, why you chose now to rise. There's some turmoil going on, and we're not sure whether the next war will begin next week. But, you're here, and the people seem to like you. You ready? I've got your first briefing ready to go. For a nation to start his experience in the RolePlay, he must make a factbook detailing information about the nation he wishes to found on the map. In his detailed Factbook, it should include information about his leader, government type, economic situation, military stats, etc. This doesn't need to be a essay long factbook but something that helps other RPers get to know you as you join a community. The applicant must have a nation in The Democratic Republic. An exemption to this may be granted by the Director of RolePlay with approval by Department of Immigration. Once all of the registration requirements are met, the nation needs to submit their application that includes all the required materials, to the Director of RolePlay for admittance. Once admitted the new member may claim a spot on the RolePlay map and begin his journey.

Please continue to learn more.

Leadership Briefing:

1921-1945

The RolePlay is taking place in the early to mid 1900's, during the industrial revolution. In the map, your nation is expanding, claiming new territories in land and resources. Massive worker strikes, industrial, financial and military innovations and conflicts are mounting. Can you and your nation survive, or will you crumble and fall? The future of your nation lies in the decisions you make, be bold and smart.

RolePlay Rules

Initial Claims
- Every nation in the RolePlay will have the ability to announce a starting claim on the RolePlay map. The starting claim must not exceed a land size determined by the Director of RP (Geographical size of France). The starting claim must as well include basic information about the new nation. A new member on the map will be protected from invasion for a period of one week after initial claim, though in that period he may not make routine claims. On that note, new nations, as they may not quite understand how roleplay works and will not know their neighboring nations, they may move their initial claim during their first week in the region.

Length of RP Posts
- All members of the RolePlay may make routine map claims, with the amount of claims per week allowed, determined by the Director of RolePlay (Claims per week are not limited). Map claims deemed too large will be denied. Map claims need to range from 4 to 6 paragraphs in length, with the Director of RolePlay able to either expand or detract on that requirement if deemed necessary. The claim may not be greater than the geographical size of half of France.

Procedure to Claim
- To claim a territory, the initial RolePlay post to make the claim, must detail the offensive front or event leading to the specified land claim. The mods will respond to the initial post with an Non-Player Character (NPC) response, acting as the territory being claimed. From there, the player wishing to claim, will respond to the RP mod. Once the claim post and response are complete, the Map maker will be notified of the claim and Players claim will be added to map. For a player to successfully cross the ocean and claim land on different continent, would require 2 weeks of RolePlay. Resulting in two posts and two responses. The players and Non-Player Characters (NPC) first posts and response will deal with the travel over sea. Then, the second post and response will deal with the claiming on the specified territory.

Procedure in war claims
- In a RP war, the offensive player must submit a RolePlay post detailing the intended player they wish to attack, what territory they want to invade and how they intend to do so. The player being attacked will have the ability to respond with a counter post. The RP Mod will then determine who won and what land was claimed or lost by both players. RP posts in wars must be 4 to 6 paragraphs in length.

You know Paris, France? In English, it's pronounced "Paris" but everyone else pronounces it without the "s" sound, like the French do. But with Venezia, everyone pronouces it the English way: "Venice". Like The Merchant of Venice or Death in Venice. WHY, THOUGH!? WHY ISN'T THE TITLE DEATH IN VENEZIA!? IT TAKES PLACE IN ITALY! SO USE THE ITALIAN WORD!!!

I'm new to this world, how exactly does one endorse a nation and what does it do for that nation?

Hi

ELECTION ROUND 2
Thanks to everyone in TDR who supported me in the 1st round - I really appreciate it. I managed to place 12th and have a viable chance of making it with continual support!!!

Round 2 is open so I'd appreciate your vote! page=election

If you have any questions, be sure to let me know - I don't have the $$$ for mass telegrams, nor do I want to annoy people like that. I believe we really can do this with a grassroots, GCR campaign and I need your support - if you have contacts in other regions, spreading the word and getting 'Regional Boosting' there would be very much appreciated.

With thanks,
Ecclestia

Thank you for considering my candidacy for Secretary-General of the World Assembly.

Having had a range of experience in a multitude of Regions & positions, I stand, asking for your vote to this prestigious chair. I have 3 guiding ideological principles which I will always employ in every regional & interregional decision-making.

1. Liberalism - Liberalism advocates for the liberty and equal rights of all individuals. This manifests for me as Social Liberalism which endorses the expansion of civil and political rights and calls for a regulated free market economy and international sphere which promotes the liberty and rights of all individuals. I also also aim to advance Green Liberalism which recognises that environmental degradation has adverse effects on people livelihoods and advocates for sustainable practices to be embedded within liberal economic and social spheres.

2. Multilateralism - Multilateralism is a foreign policy stance which aims to work with a broad set of actors to achieve common goals. I am Pro-WA and encourage participation in the World Assembly (WA) as well as actively support and promote interregional organisations and treaties. Informed by my christian faith, I am also a pacifist and strongly advocate for the peaceful, non-violent settlement of disputes and actively promote peace and co-operation.

3. Christian Democracy - Christian Democracy advocates for strong, robust and independent democratic institutions alongside a commitment to the welfare of people, believing this to be the most important factor in making economic and social policy decisions. This places us economically in the centre where a green social market-economy with free trade, private ownership & fair competition are mixed with a welfare state, social policy & environmental regulation.

'The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.'
-Galatians 5:22-23

A special thanks to everyone for you support, especially: The Democratic Nation of Unovia, Sanpine, Nikoland Piczi, Flag Makeria Strawberry Hill & The Poland-Lithuania Commonwealth
