**Industry Piles Up!**

In order to further improve the Valyran people and to bring them into the light of the superpower, the Diktator has ordered that a toll be set in the Gibraltar and that several reforms be enacted on the allied industry. A list has been recorded and made public as to every reform, and we have a copy to show.

*Reforms to the Industry:*

- Increased Work Time
- Increased Quality of Workspace
- Expanded Factories

The Diktator will be improving the quality of the factories for a better work experience, and to make the jobs of the factory workers more easily completed. Increased work time will increase output and the factories have been focused into making higher quality products.

*Reforms to the Economy*
- More Schools
- Educational Funding
- Cheaper Insurance
- Social Programs
- Labor Programs

The Diktator will be instating several social welfare programs and labor programs to get more manpower and to help civilians who need jobs. He will be building more schools and giving an increased funding to the educational department in order to turn out a higher rate of literate/educated persons. Cost for insurance will be lowered so that all classes can afford it, and in this way quality of life will go up and mortality will go down.

Election in Amalijeholm

Amalijeholm has long had quite peaceful politics. Each year, the Amalien voting population has gone to vote for between 3 and 7 political parties. The two main political parties, Social Democrats and Christian Democrats, have historically worked together to form a government. In 1825, all Amalien citizens gained the right to vote, and in 1841 Amalijeholm has always had a government formed within a week of elections. when Carl Pereneau of the Amalien Social Democrats won 42% of the vote in 1856, he begun the Centre Coalition with the Christian Democrats which would last 35 years, until 1891, when a political split began to emerge.

The year is 1888, and the nation is looking back at itself, specifically, its economy. The slow-paced industrial revolution had ended, and had created strong industries in Amalijeholm, like transport, finance, and the emerging Amalien Luxury Export industry. Ecucation had been improved, as many public universities were established to train Amaliens to continue the high-quality goods production but using industrial techniques. Spearheaded by the state, many national companies were founded, and unions deeply ingrained in both state owned and private enterprise. Cities were modernized for public life, and what had been two societies converged to the modern class system, with an upper class, a strong middle class, and a lower class. But Amaliens are a keenly self-aware people. For instance, public parks are extremely clean because of the Amalien idea of self-responsibility. And like these parks, the society was thought to be fair and equitable, as Amaliens believed in community obligations. But after this new modernization, Amaliens questioned the affects. Industries had swept up everyone, they had been responsible for a changing society. Business owners saw this. Workers saw this. Everyone saw this. Then why was it, Amaliens asked, that some still couldn't make ends work? Industries to serve the people still weren't accessible to everyone. For some workers, they couldn't afford the goods they produced. On April 5th, splattered across the front page of the Amalijeholm National Herald, was a question that many Amaliens had asked themselves. "Are goods for some good for everyone?", sparking a national debate about access to goods. In the 1891 parliament election, the Christian Democrats failed to gain enough seats to be able to form a government with the Social Democrats. Many voters had left that party to join the local farming parties. Today, the idea of an economy for the common good has become the center of Amalien political debate. Different parties answering differently, through different government means, and a realization that the issue is not just political, has brought about a huge change in Amalien politics, with the growing success of the New National Member Party, a centrist party with the aim of reforming Amalien society to be more representative of the ideals of equality of common society.

Formed originally by industrial leaders who were concerned about the loss of the Amalien economic thought, it had grown to be an intellectual, entrepreneurial, and workers party of many different people of different lives, all of whom wanted to set Amalien society back on track. This year's election season had come, with the New National Member Party promising a new partnership between business and government for a better Amalijeholm. Participating companies displayed the party's symbol in their store windows, and put out bouquets of the national flowers: Lily of the Valley and Lavender. Workers with purple and white badges, shipping companies with painted trucks, even airlines recognizing the need for an economic renaissance that put Amalien society first displayed their support with redesigned purple and white uniforms. It was clear that this year, the little party that had once been a small movement within a number of universities and businesses, would perform extremely well. In fact, the former Prime Minister, Marguerite Hammarskjöld-Cartier, announced that the election wasn't just political, it was to the core of what it meant to be Amalien, and that only one party was the one that would restore the Amalien sensibility.

On April 18th, the results of the elections were announced in the press. The New National Member Party had one 43 seats, with its sister party, Mother Amalija, winning 9 seats. Social Democrats won 32 seats, the Party for the Children won 25 seats, the Christian Democrats won 21 seats, and the Greens won 20 seats. A huge disruption to the established Social and Christian Democrats, Amalijeholm is no doubt about to go under a massive transformation.

First News reporter "the inevitable seems to be lurking upon us. The brigadier is in poor health, the government must now decide who should replace the brigadier as president. The candidates are Victoria Chagnon of the newly founded Parti Libéral who have created an alliance with Parti démocratique, Alexander De Gaulle who is currently Prime Minister and finally Samuel Trintignant who is currently Minister of Defence."

Second reporter "Many are calling upon the Parti socialiste and Parti réactionnaire to put and end to the autocratic rule that the Parti démocratique have bestowed upon Zucloo. It is unlikely that either parti socialiste or parti réactionnaire would try to overthrow the parti démocratique because they are allowed to have a position in the cabinet as long as they support the parti démocratique. The only chance the government would be taken over would be if one of the smaller parties such as the parti unification who are a group of local level politicians who want to end the autocratic rule in the parliament."

First reporter "we are awaiting an announcement from the government on who will be the new president."

Constitutional Amendment and Declaration of Neutrality

Det Nationella Amalijeshuset, or the National Amalien House, sits on Ingridsö National Island. The large palace is separated by a cobblestone street with arched entrances into a rectangular building with gardens, and a semi-circular building that houses the parliament chamber. All looking over the waters of Nya Stockholm, the Parliament Complex today is busy with reporters, politicians, and citizens moving freely through. If one wasn't watching carefully, they would miss it in the hustle and bustle. A woman in blue with a golden brioche of three crowns stepped out through two large wooden doors, and posted a paper up on a large board adorned with three more crowns, the national symbol. After ringing a bell to bring attention to the new notice, she reentered the building, and bells begun to ring all around the city, alerting the capital of a constitutional amendment.

If one was able to push their way through the crowd, they would see large black writing on parchment, and smaller text below.

THE FIFTY-FIRST AMENDMENT: STATE NEUTRALITY in FOREIGN POLICY

Once seeing these words, onlookers understood that even though a new government coalition had yet to be formed for the next government, the Parliament still had passed the much-popular amendment establishing neutrality, as it was supported by all six parties. From now on, Amalijeholm would be constitutionally obligated to not engage in military alliances or conflicts.

First reporter "An anonymous source in the government has informed us that the brigadier's health has worsened drastically over the past few hours and many speculate he may have already passed."

Second reporter "The government is currently being run by Prime minister Alexander De Gaulle due to the brigadier's I'll health."

First reporter "Unfortunately without the brigadier the parti démocratique are unlikely to remain in power due to the lack of popularity among other party members. The brigadier was an icon of heroism for many and with likelihood of his passing the population of Zucloo will want to prevent other party members from ruining his legacy."

Second reporter "A poll has been taken to see who the people would like as the next president. The options we gave were current Prime Minister Alexander De Gaulle, current Minister of Defence Samuel Trintignant, leader of the Parti Libéral Victoria Chagnon, current Parti socialiste leader and Minister of the Environment Cyril Hector, Parti réactionnaire leader and Minister of interior Phillippe Maret and finally leader of parti unification Renée Baudet."

First reporter "the results were as follows
Renée Baudet - 28%
Cyril Hector - 23%
Victoria Chagnon - 20%
Samuel Trintignant - 18%
Alexander De Gaulle - 8%
Philippe maret - 3%

This shows the people would like to end the autocracy created by the brigadier and have a new party take the nation forward."

DRF Chronicle #7

by Drf state broadcasting

G’day

It’s been 17 days since we last published a news article and we have a fair bit of news for you! Things have happened and some you might not have heard before, so sit back, relax and enjoy this edition of The DRF Chronicle!

Breaking News:

1. Zweites preussen elected PM

In our last edition, we brought you the story that the 17th August would be the date of the next DRF General Election. There were three candidates standing, and here at the Chronicle, we successfully predicted the win going to Zweites. This win all but confirms Zweites being PM for six months by the end of his next term. The new PM also made changes to the cabinet, to note a few, Abbots becoming Foreign Secretary, The excalian-freedonian puppet becoming Home Secretary and Matroyska becoming Chief Justice. Another move made was the decision to not have an RP Minister, which was backed up and eventually all questions were answered. We look forward to see what our new PM will provide for the region in the coming months and what impact it could have in the region.

2. Puetavisa temporarily drops charges

A story that broke really recently was this, and it shows another turn in this ongoing trial. It started when Abbots declared that he was off the hook on the DRF RMB, only to be put down by the leader of the charges, Puetavisa. The trial so far hasn’t been able to make much progress, and if it were to continue, Puetavisa would have to present his reasoning to the court. Puet replied on the RMB with this post to almost sum up why no progress has been made, but also to reply to Abbots:

Puetavisa wrote:Is that so?..

I’ve decided that I’ll drop charges on you only within the DRF until further notice. You are simply not worth my time, and I’m not going to put forth the effort to humiliate you further, as you clearly do that by being yourself.

I’m willing to negotiate actually pardoning you, but only if you don’t bring more people to state your case for you. You aren’t pardoned yet, but I’ll think about reevaluating your status as a traitor and a terrorist to the Crown once you prove to me you can somewhat tone down your toxicity.

Man to man, mono y mono.

Ta-ta for now,

-H

And so, we still don’t know what the outcome of the trial will be, we have a potential end to the event or we could see a continuation of the trial in the future. It seems that Puetavisa is willing to end this matter completely, which might come as a shock to some, following his passionate call for this trial. Unfortunately from the moment this trial was called two months ago, everything has been up in the air.

3. API recruitment begins with fairly limited results

One of the ongoing promises of a DRF PM candidate is to boost recruitment, but no one really got it going. That’s until now of course! Before the election, it was announced that Zweites preussen had started API recruitment with Drf office of recruitment. This continued after Zweites’ re-election and then, earlier this week, the DRF welcomed the first recruit from this process, Hosecannon. The PM was very pleased about this new arrival, and alongside some other new members, it takes the DRF population up to 20.

Interregional News:

1. New Foreign Secretary shows eco-friendly stance

Newly appointed Foreign Secretary, Abbots has begun to make the region more eco-friendly through embassy requests over the past week. Embassy proposals were made to Environmental Protection Council and Paris Agreement, both are very influential regions in the world. This means that DRF is supporting the eco-friendly movement, which hasn’t been shown before. With a new Foreign Secretary comes new plans, and maybe these plans involve more eco-friendly options.

2. PM denies chance to join TWC kingdom

The DRF and TWC have recently improved relations between each other, both having embassies and speaking on the respective RMBs, even Skundi was given the title of Knight of the Grand Wolf! But when Alpha wolf suggested of the DRF joining as a state, the PM opted for the independent option and the proposal was turned down. Had the PM agreed, there would’ve been a regional poll to decide on whether the DRF should join. We don’t really know what DRF citizens think about TWC, so it is highly likely that the citizens would vote against the proposal.

And that concludes this edition! Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed it, learnt something from it or just stayed up to date. Any comments should be sent to Drf state broadcasting or Skundi.

Next exclusive article: We hope to interview our new Foreign Secretary about his stance, his plans and his job! Keep on the lookout for it!

The return of the madness part 3

First reporter " The time has come for us all to pay our respects to the recently deceased Brigadier Charles Le Pen. He passed away within the last hour."

Second reporter "Due to his passing the government decided to speed up the vote for the next President and it was decided that Alexander de Gaulle would be interim president and Zucloo shall soon hold its first democratic election soon."

First reporter "Now that the interim president and upcoming election has been announced President De Gaulle will have to work hard to show the citizens of Zucloo that he can make the nation prosper under his rule."

Second reporter "the recent poll suggests that people do not want De Gaulle to be President and it is likely that the Parti Unification lead by Renée Baudet will be the ruling party."

**Controlling Exterior Trade**

*Movement*
The Valyran High Command knows what it needs and knows how to get it. Early in the month, 120,000 Valyran troops were shipped under the cover of darkness to Egypt, and landed in Alexandria. 20,000 of them diverted from Alexandria and towards the Suez Canal, and the remaining 100,000 stayed in Alexandria.

*The Battle*
The Egyptian army resisted the Valyran landings with vigor, and as shells pounded against Alexandria the Egyptians slowly turned the city into a meat grinder. MG nests on every street and personnel mines scattered everywhere. Barbed wire cutting streets off from troops and pillboxes hiding AT guns. 30 tanks were landed in the port and sent into Alexandria, and after the first few hours of brutal fighting only 5 of them remained. More tanks and men were ferried over, replenishing the Valyran army and putting further pressure on Alexandria. Egyptians from all over the nation were sent forth but allied bombing runs and air strikes were enough to capitulate the city.

The Suez Canal was much less of a Story, with the 20,000 men quickly moving in and seizing it. Several Egyptian soldiers were caught unaware and retreated into Arabia, and the remaining who were left were captured.

*Further Advance*
The 100,000 in Alexandria soon moved west to secure North Africa, moving along the coastlines of Libya and Tunisia. Quickly securing the ports and coastal defenses, Valyra claimed the southern edge of the Mediterranean.

**The Italian Response**

The Italian Military was extremely displeased by this French act of aggression on the Mediterranean Sea. They denounced the French invasion of neutral Egypt as a hostile enforcement of vile and disgusting French policies. Aresio Albertini would have none of it. The Regia Aeronautica Italiana was ordered to mobilize, and the Regia Navale was to be mobilized as well. The Regio Esercito was to mobilized in three months time.

Moving fast to maintain its hold on the balkans and the Mediterranean, the Italian Army marched into Greece and Yugoslavia in a "peaceful invasion." Using propaganda distributed to the local populace detailing French tyranny and warcrimes committed in the Africas. Yugoslavia's populace was more friendly to the Italians compared to the Greeks, albeit the government refused to capitulate. However, the Greek military refused to stand down. The Greeks, of course did not surrender easily, forcing the Italian Army to delay their push on Athens by a few weeks. Although despite moderate losses, the Italian Army was able to push out the remaining Greek Army into a large circle around Athens.
