Agreed, most people don't take time to understand theory and I'm going to give a hot take, you can't have communism without theory reading or at the very least, understanding.

Agreed, my biggest issue is when liberals posture themselves as socialists when in reality their ideology ends at thinking black people getting shot every day is bad. Obviously this is bad, but I'm sure we can all agree that a communist answer to the problems of America would have to look through an analytical lens instead of accepting the idea that certain online leftists have which is "I am the furthest left anyone can be! Anyone further left than me is a tankie and a LARPer!"

It's said that she protested Stalin's actions against the peasantry and committed suicide after a violent argument with Stalin.

I get it's annoying that people call themselves leftists without understanding what that actually means and makes it harder for the rest of us, but I think overall it's good that social issues are pulling people left.

Everyone starts somewhere, and a common narrative I've seen is that someone thinks "wow, there are a lot of terrible things in the world, maybe we should fix that" and comes to the conclusion "we can't fix anything unless we get rid of the economic systems at the root of these issues."

Capitalism and social justice are fundamentally incompatible because it relies on oppressing someone. Once they start critically thinking about how to fix the issues they care about and not just stick a bandage on them, most people that actually care (and aren't just performing) see that the only solution is socialism.

Don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with people becoming leftist due to social justice.

But if you’re a leftist and are pursuing social justice, as all good comrades should, then it requires you to understand the dialectical materialism and Marxist economic theory that bridge social theory and economic theory

Furthermore it is the duty of leftists to spread this knowledge to comrades who may not be all that interested in it.

I 100% agree with this, I was worred about saying dialectical materialism because I thought I would be called a tankie, call it trauma from Twitch and Twitter politics.
